Cirsium japonicumhas been widely used as a healthy food and folk medicine in Asia. It is also an important herb, which has been used as an anti-agent for hemorrhage, rheumatoid arthritis, urination and a treatment for scabies. The compound mostoften reported for Cirsium. species were : apigenin, luteolin, myricetin, quecerin, kaemferol. Several biological properties have been ascribed to flavonoids. Among them the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial activities are well known.

가공조건에 따른 꽃향유(Elsholtzia splendens) 추출물의 플라보노이드 함량 및 항산화 활성에 관한 연구

Elsholtzia splendens is a herbaceous perennial plant grown worldwide, which has been used as a folklore medicine. Elsholtzia splendenshas various functional properties, probably due to the presence of flavonoids. In our previous study, apigenin among flavonoids was detected from Elsholtzia splendens. Apigenin is a non-toxic and non-mutagenic flavonoids and it has antioxidation effect and anti-inflammatory effect. However, a little research on the functional properties of Elsholtzia splendenshas been reported. Therefore, the objective of this investigation was to explore flavonoids in Elsholtzia splendens for use its functional properties. Elsholtzia splendens was collected from various areas of Korea. These were divided into leave, flower and stem. Each sample was dried using various drying method and ground to a powder. The sample prepared was extracted with 60 % ethanol. Extracts were analysed content of total flavonoids and apigenin by HPLC. Among various parts of Elsholtzia splendens, leaves and flowers was observed high contents of total flavonoids. In previous study, apigenin among flavonoids was detected from Elsholtzia splendens. So, apigenin content was analysed by HPLC. According to results, leaves sample showed the higher apigenin content than other samples. These results were similar results of total flavonoids contents and total phenolic compound content.

장소특정성을 활용한 진혼무에 대한 고찰 - 라즈돌로예(Razdolroye) 기차역의 진혼무를 중심으로 -

The Jinhonmu in the Razdolroye Station is intended to console more than 40,000 souls who passed during the displacement of Koreans in 1937, and to give strength and courage to more than 40,000 Korean compatriots who returned to the Maritime Province. Jinhonmu in the Razdolroye Station uses Site-Specificity to speak to both the dead and the living. “People give meaning to specific sites and try to perceive them in a new perspective through empirical understanding. The effort to see sites in such new perspectives is linked to the intention of reforming life. Artists in particular use instincts and inspirations to reform specific sites into a cultural and aesthetic base.”The Razdolroye Station is a symbolic site for memorial of sorrows of the displacement, without exposing it to the Russian government or the Russian people. Many testimonies of surviving displaced persons still recall the screams and the chaos in the Razdolroye Station, which was the first departing station of the displacement in September 10th, 1937. There is no replacement for the Razdolroye Station. It is where Koreans had only their basic belongings for survival and assembled. Jinhonmu in the Razdolroye Station discovers Site-Specificity through its artistry and historic memories. 라즈돌로예(Razdolroye) 기차역은 고려인들에게 비극적인 강제이주사건을 떠올리게 하는 역사적 장소다. 라즈돌로예 기차역에서의 진혼무는 강제이주 과정에서 희생된 영혼들을 위로함과 동시에, 연해주로 돌아와 힘겨운 재정착의 삶을 살아가고 있는 4만여 고려인동포들에게 용기를 불어넣고자 하는 목적을 지닌다. 라즈돌로예 기차역에서의 장소특정성을 활용한 진혼무는 죽은 자와 산 자 모두에게 보내는 메시지이다. “사람들은 특정 장소에 의미를 부여하고 경험적 이해를 통해 그것을 새롭게 보려고 한다. 장소를 새롭게 보려는 노력은 삶을 새롭게 살려는 쇄신의 의도와 통한다. 특히 예술가들은 직관과 영감을 통해 어떤 장소들을 문화적·심미적 거점으로 다시 태어나게 만든다. 극심한 관료제 사회인 러시아에서 고려인들이 공개적으로 강제이주 정책을 비판하거나 강제이주의 참상을 추념하기란 쉽지 않으나, 강제이주 과정에서 희생된 고려인들의 한은 풀어야 할 과제이다. 러시아 정부나 러시아인들에게 드러내지 않으면서도 강제이주의 한을 알알이 추념할 수 있는 상징이 바로 라즈돌로예 기차역이다. 수많은 강제이주 생존자들의 증언은 1937년 9월 10일 강제이주 첫 출발역이었던 라즈돌로예 기차역에서의 아비규환과 비명소리를 생생히 기억나게 하기 때문이다. 라즈돌로예 기차역 역사 앞 광장에서 러시아 군인들의 위협을 받으며 250여 고려인 가정들이 55칸의 가축용 화물열차에 실려 들어가는 참혹한 광경을 상기시키는 장소로서 라즈돌로예 기차역만한 곳이 없을 것이다. 라즈돌로예 기차역에서의 진혼무를 통해 그 안에 담긴 예술성뿐만 아니라 역사적 기억들을 통하여 장소특정성을 활용한 의미를 알아보고자 했다.

Via festival in the city center, an outdoor space with environmental factors and actively interpret the meaning of the theme with a focus on performed, site-specific performance authentic performances driven world of culture and art through the city streets for the festiva... 최근 가장 두드러진 문화적 현상 중 하나가 바로 축제의 양적 증가이다. 21세기 문화산업의 가장 큰 변화는 실내용 작품의 제작비가 점차 높아지는데 반해 극장 관객의 숫자는 고정되어 있다는 것이며 “극장예술을 찾던 관객이 점차 축제로 이동해 가고 있다”는 점이 가장 큰 특징이다. 이러한 예술축제의 증가에 따라 거리공연의 대두가 두드러지고 있다. 대부분의 축제가 실내가 아닌 실외에서 열리기 때문에 축제는 주로 거리공연의 형태로 나타난다. 거리공연은 특정한 공간을 필요로 하지 않으며, 많은 사람들을 축제의 일원으로 참여시킬 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 예술축제의 수적 증가에 따라 거리공연은 점차 수면 밖으로 모습을 드러내고 있고 이는 앞으로 더욱더 가속화될 전망이다. 비아페스티벌은 다양하고 통합적이며 예술적인 축제로 서울 도심에서 개최되는 최초의 본격적인 거리극 및 거리예술축제이다. 2008년부터 기획된 본 행사는 한강 여의도 봄꽃 축제 기간 중 개최되는 거리극 중심의 축제로서, 지역의 환경적 요인을 반영하여 오로지 한강 여의도의 새봄에서만 향유할 수 있는 독창적인 예술축제로서의 발전을 의도 한다. 비아페스티벌은 인간과 자연과의 만남을 위한 공간적 설정에서 출발하여 길가에 피어난 봄꽃들을 음미하는 가운데 ‘한강 여의도 봄꽃축제’의 흥을 고조시키고 이를 문화적으로 승화시킬 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 또한 꽃, 한강 등의 환경적 요인과 그 의미를 능동적으로 해석한 주제의 공연을 중심으로한 본격적인 거리극 공연들 을 유치함으로써 국제적 수준의 거리예술축제의 방향성을 제시한다. 비아페스티벌을 통해 예술성과 공연성이 갖는 효과, 축제의 공간이 갖는 효과, 축제의 도시공간이 갖는 효과 , 축제의 창작자(예술가)에게 미치는 영향을 통해 비아페스티벌의 사회문화적 측면의 효과를 알아보았다.

여성학 개론서를 통해 본 ‘한국 여성학’ 지식 구성의 여정

This paper explores the historical characteristics and current implications of feminist knowledge discourse by analyzing the contents of the various introduction books of women’s studies and their changing process. It was conceived that introduction books are texts on the identity of a specific discipline that contain core knowledge of the discipline and theoretical historical issues. A total of five women’s studies introduction books published by the Korea Women’s Research Institute, Korea’s leading feminist academic research group from 1991 to 2014 were selected. This is because these introductions were developed by researchers with professional competencies in women's studies sharing views on feminism. They were so highly content-organic that we could look at the knowledge system and contents established by women’s studies. The analysis results are as follows. First, the knowledge construction process of the introduction books of women's studies was constantly combined with attempts to explore the identity of Korean women’s studies based on the characteristics of women’s studies as practical studies that encourage active participation in social structure and reality. Second, the introduction books of women's studies has led to attempts to establish and present independent analysis concepts and gradually integrate them into gender to form a systematic composition, but an organized knowledge discourse that can deal with the complex hierarchy of gender concepts should be developed. Third, the topics covered in the introduction books of women’s studies confirm the achievement of women’s studies knowledge production that has grown through interdisciplinary research, but in order to upgrade its identity as an independent discipline, it is necessary to plan topics that can deal well with unique theoretical issues of women’s studies. With the popularization of feminism and the institutional contraction of feminism’s liberal arts education occurring at the same time, independent research needs to be conducted not only for university education but also for the professional construction of women's studies introductory knowledge that greatly affects popular liberal arts discourse. 본 논문은 개론서가 학문의 핵심 지식과 이론사적 쟁점을 담아낸 특정 학문의 정체성에 관한 텍스트라는 점에 착안하여, 여성학 개론서의 내용과 그 변천 과정에 나타난 페미니즘 지식 담론의 역사적 특성과 현재적 시사점을 탐색하였다. 연구 대상으로는 한국의 대표적인 페미니즘 학술연구단체인 (사)한국여성연구소에서 1991년부터 2014년에 걸쳐 출간한 여성학 개론서 총 5종을 선정하였다. 이 개론서들은 여성학 관련 전문 역량을 지닌 연구자들이 페미니즘에 관한 관점을 거시적으로 공유하며 개발되었기에 내용적 유기성이 높아, 여성학이 구축한 지식 체계와 내용을 순도 높게 살펴볼 수 있으리라 판단했다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여성학 개론서의 지식 구성 과정은 사회 구조 및 현실에 대한 능동적 참여를 독려하는 실천학문으로서의 여성학의 특성을 기반으로 ‘한국 여성학’의 정체성을 탐색하려는 시도와 부단히 결합되어 있었다. 둘째, 여성학 개론서는 독자적인 분석 개념을 정립, 제시하고, 점차 이를 젠더로 통합하여 그 체계적 구성을 마련하는 시도로 이어져 왔으나, 젠더 개념의 복잡한 층위를 보다 입체적이고 밀도 있게 다룰 수 있는 정돈된 지식 담론의 개발이 요청된다. 셋째, 여성학 개론서에서 다루고 있는 주제들은 학제간 연구로 성장해온 여성학 지식 생산의 성과를 확인시켜주지만, 분과학문으로서의 정체성을 고도화하기 위해서는 여성학의 고유한 이론적 쟁점을 잘 다룰 수 있는 주제와 내용 기획이 마련되어야 한다. 페미니즘의 대중화와 여성학 교양교육의 제도적 위축이 동시적으로 벌어지고 있는 현실에서, 대학 교육뿐만 아니라, 대중 교양 담론에 큰 영향을 미치는 여성학 개론 지식의 전문적 개발을 위한 독자적인 연구가 수행될 필요가 있다.

Polystyrene microplastics induce mortality through acute cell stress and inhibition of cholinergic activity in a brine shrimp

Backgrounds The environmental impacts of microplastics (MPs) are increasingly of concern, particularly for their sources, global distribution, and persistency in aquatic ecosystems. Although the ubiquitous and persistent nature of MPs in waterbodies is evident, their effects and health implications for aquatic animals are still open to debate. Objective The brine shrimp, Artemia franciscana was exposed to different concentrations (1–1000 particles mL− 1) of four sizes (1, 3, 6, and 10 μm) of non-functionalized polystyrene microbeads. To measure MPs effects, several physiological and biochemical parameters such as ingestion and egestion, stress biomarkers [e.g., heat shock protein 70 (hsp70) family, enzymatic activities of catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD)], acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, and survival rate for 30 days were analyzed. Results Exposure to waterborne MPs showed clear ingestion and egestion in A. franciscana. Exposure to relatively larger sizes of 1000 particles mL− 1 MPs dose–dependently increased mRNA expression of hsp70 families and enzymatic activities of CAT and SOD within 96 h. Significant inhibitory effects on AChE activity were observed in response to 1000 particles mL− 1 with increases in mortality for 30 days. Thirty-day survival of juveniles was dose-dependently affected, with greater effects seen at 1000 particles mL− 1 of MPs. Conclusion Our results suggest that MPs exposure to the early stages of brine shrimp could be detrimental for population maintenance through inhibition of cholinergic system and the induction of acute cell stress, including oxidative stress.
