In this study, the confined laminar flow and transport around a square cylinder with a planar fuel jet are numerically simulated. Both rear and front jets are considered, respectively. In each case, various ratios of the jet velocity to the fixed upstream velocity are taken into consideration. In case of the rear jet, the high mass-fraction region is formed along the streamlines from the jet exit, and the oscillation of the force on the square cylinder eventually disappears as the jet velocity is close to the upstream velocity. In case of the front jet, drag is significantly reduced when the jet velocity ratio is grater than 1. The results obtained exhibit flow and scalar-mixing charactered in a planar combustor.

Mater Student, Department of Film Studies, Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia and Film, Chung-Ang University / Master Course Student, Department of Film Studies, Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia and Film, Chung-Ang University This paper is about how Busan independent film express Busan. Furthermore, We try to examine problems and the potentials of the Busan independent film by looking at how conventional commercial movies show Busan in their movies. Conventional commercial movies express Busan, people in Busan and the dialect of Busan in an exaggerative way, merely based on their stereotypes about a local area, Busan. Without doubt, Busan independent films were doing almost the same way. Particularly, their think Busan is an illegal and unreasonable place. This kind of notion has been shown in many movies from 〈Beomil-dong Blues(2000)〉 to 〈I came from Busan(2009)〉, 〈Busan Flounder - Redux(2011)〉 and 〈over and over again(2012)〉 In addition, the Busan independent films are following the old problem of the gender disparity, not trying to sound out the issue. However, one thing that we can focus on is that in movies, 〈Pansy&Ivy(2000)〉〈Grandma(2011)(2012)〉 local females are shown subjective and independent, which is different from what they used to be expressed: females dependent on males. The original characteristic of films whose theme is Busan is that they all have various conceptions towards the sea. Busan is a marine region but people in Busan couldn’t take root in the marine life due to the nation-wide industrialization. That is, “the land” was always considered absolutely right and the sea was only a object of nostalgia, desire, or the unknown. That’s why the sea was seen as an object of contemplation, and the painful product of marine life. Like this, the movies clearly show us that they were struggling to express Busan in their movies. However, it rather show us what the discourse of the current film industry is. It means that Busan independent films tell us that a hybrid space, Busan can’t be explained by simple languages and it should be told based on the relation between the history of Busan and the identity of Busan people.
