태음인(太陰人) 반창병 치험(治驗) 1예(例)

A 33-year-old woman diagnosed as livedo reticularis came to this hospital on October 14th, 1995. She complained of cold feet, ulceration on both ankles at the first OPD visit. We have diagnosed as 'Taeumin Ban-Chang-Byoung'. And we have applied acupunctures(Auricular Acupuncture + Acupuncture) and herb durgs. Auricular acu-points are Heart, Lungs, Shenmen, Adrenal. Herb drugs are Yuldahansotang or Chengpesagantang. After 3 treatments, she felt her feet warm. After 32 treatments, ulceration has disappeared. Even though we can't say that Ban-Chang-Byoung is livedo reticularis. But we can assume that two are related on the basis of the context of 'Dongyisoosebowon'.

Pitch Range와 Bandwidth를 이용한 음성특성(音聲特性)과 사상체질간(四象體質間)의 상관성(相關性) 연구(硏究)

Bandwidth and Pitch Range are very important in the area of distinguish of phone which is one of many areas of phonetics and distinguish the individual way of phone. So if each constitution has a trait in its phone, they are important to judge the constitutions. In this report we try to understand the relativity between constitutions and Formant Bandwidth, Pitch Range and the number of syllables in a minute which are important to distinguish the phone. And we try to make judging the constitutions objective. 1. We analyzed Formant Bandwidth and there are some differences between constitutions but it doesn't have any importance in the statistics. 2. We analyzed Pitch Range and there are some differences between constitutions but it doesn't have any importance in the statistics. 3. We analyzed the number of syllables in a minute and there are some differences between constitutions but it doesn't have any importance in the statistics. As mentioned above there are differences between constitutions in Formant Bandwidth, Pitch Range and the numbers of syllables in a minute, but they don't have any importance in the statistics. However if we increase the number of samples and remove noise, there will be great possibility to find some important meanings.

원주 코호트에서 사상체질(四象體質)에 따른 대사증후군(代謝症候群) 유병솔(有病率)과 관련요인

1. Objectives The risk for cardiovascular diseases increases significantly when multiple risk factors exist, as in the form of metabolic syndrome, compared to a single risk factor. This study was to assess the prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome and evaluate the factors associated with metabolic syndrome and Sasang Constitutional Types. 2. Methods 666 subjects(280 men and 386 women), more 40 years old, in a rural community study were examined in point of Sasang Constitution and metabolic syndrome. 3. Results 1) Their Constitutional distribution were Taeeumin 436 persons (65.5%), Soyangin 83 persons (12.5%), Soeumin 147 persons (22.1%) and no Taeyangin diagnosed by PSSC. 2) Body weight, BMI, waist circumstance and hip circumstance were significantly high in Taeeumin group like previous study results. 3) Prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome was 32.0%, especially 27.1% in men and significantly higher as 35.5% in women than men. 4) In men, prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome was 1.4% in Soyangin, 2.9% in Soeumin and significantly high as 22.9% in Taeeumin. 5) In women, prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome was 12.5% in Soyangin, 3.6% in Soeumin and significantly high as 47.6% in Taeeumin. 6) Hazard ratios for metabolic syndrome were 1.14 for women to men, 2.34 for those at the age of 60s to 40s, 1.95 for Soyangin to Soeumin and 3.39 for Taeeumin to Soeumin. 4. Conclusions Sasang Constitutional Type may be an significant risk factor for metabolic syndrome and regimen according to Sasang Constitutional Type is thought to be needed to prevent metabolic syndrome.

소양인 중풍환자에 병발된 불면증에 양격산화탕(凉膈散火湯)을 투여한 증례(症例)

Insomnia is a temporary or continuous condition in which one has difficulty sleeping, due to physical impediments or physical problems. Because insomnia does harms to a labor power or imposes mental and physical burden on a patient, we should pay attention to this disease. This case is about a patient who was 62 years old man with a chronic insomnia since 1996, inspite of no past history about psychical disease. He had sufferred from a cerebral infarction and hypertension since March. 2002. and was hospitalized in Sangji University korean medicine hospital, 25. June. 2002. This patient had been treated by herb-med, Yanggyuksanhwatang for 4 weeks and showed an improvement. This paper describes the process and contents about the patient was cured.

사상체질음성분석기(四象體質音聲分析機)(PSSC-2004)를 이용한 한국인 소아의 체질별(體質別) 음향특성(音響特性)

1. Objective & Method The purpose of this study was to objectify the diagnosis of Sasang constitution. 163 children's voices were analyzed with 74 factors using PSSC-2004. 2. Results (1) In male children group, Taeumin's APQ4 was significantly low compared with the others. (2) In male children group, Taeumin's octave 5 & octave 6 were significantly low compared with the others. It was significant distinction between Taeumin and Soeumin at the result of post hoc. (3) In male children group, Taeumin's Time Domain Total Sum / Time Domain Count & Frequency Domain Total Sum / count(0) were significantly low compared with the others. It was significant distinction between Taeumin and Soeumin at the result of post hoc. (4) In male children group, Taeumin's 0k-2k total sum & 2k-4k total sum were significantly low compared with the others. It was significant for distinction between Taeumin and Soeumin at the result of post hoc. (5) In male children group, Taeumin's 2k-4k deviation was significantly low compared with the others. It was significant distinction between Taeumin and Soeumin at the result of post hoc. (6) In male children group, Taeumin's D# Total Energy & F# Total Energy were significantly low compared with the others. It was significant distinction between Taeumin and Soeumin at the result of post hoc. (7) In male children group, Taeumin's D# deviation & F# deviation were significantly low compared with the others. It was significant distinction between Taeumin and Soeumin at the result of post hoc. (8) In female children group, Soyangin's center frequency (7) was significantly high compared with the others. It was significant distinction between Taeumin and Soyangin at the result of post hoc. 3. Coclusion With these results, we got some information for standardization of the clinical diagnosis guideline of Sasang constitutional type classification using PSSC-2004 in the Korean children

건율제조탕이 CCl₄로 유발(誘發)된 간손상(肝損傷) 백서(白鼠)에 미치는 영향(影響)

1. Objectives This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Gunyuljejo-tang on the $CCl_4$-induced Liver Damage in Rats. 2. Methods Sprague-Dawley rats were devided into 5 experimental groups : Normal, $NS+CCl_4$(Solid extract of $CCl_4$ injection group after Normal Saline feed), $GYJJT+CCl_4$(Solid extract of $CCl_4$ injection group after Gunyuljejo-tang feed), $CCl_4+NS$(Normal Saline feed group after $CCl_4$ injection), $CCl_4+GYJJT$(Solid extract of Gunyuljejo-tang feed group after $CCl_4$ injection). Biochemical assays for serum enzyme activities such as AST, ALT, ALP, BUN, Creatinine, Uric Acid, Total Protein, Albumin, Total Cholesterol, Triglyceride, Glucose, and mRNA Revelation of Cytochrome p450 and activities such as LPO, GSH, GST, Glutathione Reductase, Glutathione Peroxidase, SOD, Catalase, Hydroxyproline, and ${\beta}$-Glucuronidase were performed. 3. Results (1) $GYJJT+CCl_4$ showed lower revelation of Cytochrome p450. (2) $GYJJT+CCl_4$ showed higher GSH activity than $NS+CCl_4$, $CCl_4+GYJJT$ showed higher GSH activity than $CCl_4+NS$ injection significantly. (3) $GYJJT+CCl_4$ showed higher GST activity than $NS+CCl_4$. $CCl_4+GYJJT$ showed higher GST activity than $CCl_4+NS$ significantly. (4) $GYJJT+CCl_4$ showed higher Glutathione Peroxidase activity than $NS+CCl_4$, $CCl_4+GYJJT$ showed higher Glutathione Peroxidase activity than $CCl_4+NS$ significantly. (5) $CCl_4+GYJJT$ showed higher SOD activity than $CCl_4+NS$ significantly. (6) $CCl_4+GYJJT$ showed higher Catalase activity than $CCl_4+NS$ significantly. (7) $GYJJT+CCl_4$ showed lower Hydroxyproline than $NS+CCl_4$ significantly, $CCl_4+GYJJT$ showed higher Hydroxyproline than $CCl_4+NS$ significantly. (8) $GYJJT+CCl_4$ showed higher ${\beta}$-Glucuronidase activity than $NS+CCl_4$, $CCl_4+GYJJT$ showed higher ${\beta}$-Glucuronidase activity than $CCl_4+NS$ significantly. 4. Conclusions Gunyuljejo-tang has the recovering effects on the $CCl_4$-induced Liver Damage significantly.

The jaundice means hyperbilirubinemia that it happens bilirubin is contained for much in the blood for the disorder of formation and evaluation about bilirubin. The dry nut is one of the representative medicine which made use of Tae eum in bokchang bujong byung(태음인의 복창부종병) and that is marked use of removing the obstruction of tae eum in, by removing the damping heat(습열) and that is to depend on not the circle of medicine but the food The diet cure of a dry nut might be profound in meaning because the jaundice, the disorder of liver and gall, can be considered in relation to Tae eum in bokchang bujong byung(태음인의 복창부종병) I make a report in the basis of the reliably remedial value about application of a diet cure that a dry not is used to the patient coming to my hospital for the jaundice of ruing his health in eating and drinking

소양인(少陽人) 음허오열증(陰虛午熱證)(하소증(下消證)) 환자의 부자중독증(附子中毒症)을 숙지황고삼탕(熟地黃苦蔘湯)으로 완화시킨 치험 1례

Aconitine has much Heat and Toxicity in its property, so many consideration is needed during its use. And there are many contraindications of its use. In the book of Dongyisusebowon, it has to be used when Soeumin has extreme Cold accompanied by Heat of deficiency type. In this case report, a 84 year-old male patient who had taken drugs containing Aconitine had severe Yin-Deficiency-Midday-Fever(陰虛午熱). And he had been treated with Sukjiwhanggosamtang(熟地黃苦參湯) and Dokwhaljiwhangtang(獨活地黃湯). Four conclusions can be made through this case. 1. Soyangin(少陽人) patients may have many side effects or adverse effects when they take drugs containing Aconitine even at a little volume. 2. Soyangin may have chest discomfort when they are constipated. This patient also complained chest discomfort after stroke and toxicosis of Aconitine. 3. Between Sukjiwhanggosamtang(熟地黃苦參湯) and Dokwhaljiwhangtang(獨活地黃湯), Sukjiwhanghosamtang is more effective for this patient who has been skin psoriasis and lower diabetes(下消) for a long time. 4. Although Sukjiwhanghosamtang does not include any antidote drug of Aconitine, it may be used only when defferenciation of symdrome is proper on Sasang Constituional Medicine.

식물상반(食物相反)에 관한 연구

The purpose of this research was to investigate the inhibitory function among foods and herb drugs. I have gone over literatures of mainly ${\ll}$Eum-Sun-Jung-Yo(飮膳正要)${\gg}$ on the basis of ${\ll}$Dong-Eui-Bo-Gam (東醫寶鑑)${\gg}$ about the properties and flavors of foods and herb drugs. And then I came to get some conclusion as follows. 1. The foods mentioned above are meats, birds, fishes, spices and vegetables. 2. If the foods mentioned above were eaten for a long time, and then it can cause stirring Wind or Qi or Fire inside the body. 3. What it means in the context of the chapter ${\ulcorner}$Sik-Mul-Sang-Ban : Inhibitory Function Among Foods and Herb Drugs(食物相反)${\lrcorner}$ that 'Do not eat the paired foods or herb drugs at a same time' and 'Do not eat the paired foods or herb drugs together for a long time.' 4. The Cold natured foods were not eaten at a same time. 5. The Hot or Warm natured foods were not eaten at a same time. 6. The contrary natured foods were not eaten at a same time. Because they were eaten at a same time, it raise a Occurrence of Cold and Heat syndromes and a Qi disorder.

전환(轉換) 장애(障碍)를 동반한 태음인(太陰人) 화병(火病) 환자의 증례

1. Objectives The purpose of this case is to report a Taeumin, who was examined as Hwa-Byeong, received a medical treatment with Cheongsimyeonja-tang and consult of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2. Methods We examined this patient as Hwa-Byeong by using Hwa-Byeong Diagnostic Interview Schedule(HBDIS) and we also diagnosed a patient's mental state by using MMPI to understand a human instinct of the patient. Additionally, we used QSCC II and PSCC to distinguish a patient's Sasang Constitution. 3. Results We received a positive result by using prescription as Cheongsimyeonja-tang and consult according to a patient's Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 4. Conclusions We suggested that the patient would receive steady treatments as consult of Sasang Constitutional Medicine and medicinal therapy afterwards.
