In this paper, an efficient switching pattern to equalize the size of transformer is proposed for a multi-level inverter employing cascaded transformers. It is based on the prior selected harmonic elimination PWM(SHEPWM) method. Because the maximum magnetic flux imposed on each transformer becomes exactly equal each to each, all transformers can be designed with the same size regardless of their position. Therefore, identical full-bridge inverter units can be utilized, thus improving modularity and manufacturability. The fundamental idea of the proposed switching pattern is illustrated and then analyzed theoretically. The validity of the proposed switching strategy is verified by experimental results.

This paper is suggested an optimal switching angle of a switched reluctance motor drive system for maximum energy ratio A new magnetizing method with a low-frequency increasing the energy conversion ratio that is related to the efficiency of motor is proposed. As results, it improves the efficiency about 2[%]. And a torque ripple is also reduced compared with that of the conventional switching angle magnetizing approach. In order to start softly regardless of a large ripple torque, the profile of phase current is predicted and current control mode was adapted when it is operated under the starting speed.<br/> <br/>

The good features of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) are appreciated by the appliance manufactures. And It is spread into a commercial and industries market. The few disadvantage of the motor is higher torque ripple and noise. This paper proposes an instantaneous torque control scheme to control a speed precisely. It adapts phase-locked loop (PLL) technique to cotrol speed precisely. In this control scheme, the phase detector signal of the PLL regulates the switching dwell angle flexibly and the loop filter's signal controls adaptively the instantaneous switching voltage. Experimental results show that drive performance is good with low torque ripple.

현대 사회는 급속한 고령화 시대를 맞이하고 있다. 또한 하지 장애인 인구가 점차 늘어나는 추세에서 전동휠체어의 사용 인구는 급증하고 있다. 사회적인 추세가 고령자와 장애인을 위한 시설들과 개인용 보조용품이 점차 보급되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 하지 장애인들을 위해서 개발 되는 전동휠체어에 침대의 기능을 추가함으로써 침대에서 전통휠체어로 옮겨 타지 않아도 바로 이용 가능한 전통휠체어용 모터를 SRM으로 대체하여 일반적인 직류직권 전동기와 SRM에 대하여 CAD와 FEM 해석프로그램을 통해 비교하였다. 앞으로 지속적인 연구를 통하여 4방향 조이스틱과 DSP controller를 이용하여 별도의 사용자의 세밀한 조작 없이 자동으로 침대로 장착될 수 있고 침대 모드일 경우 자동으로 충전이되며 또한 250W SRM을 이용하여 전동휠체어로써 직류직권진동기보다 높을 효율과 강한 토크 낮은 기어비를 이용해 직류전동기가 가지는 문제점들을 보안할 것이다.

This paper presents a design and characteristics analysIs of a SRM drive for EPS(Electrically Power Steering) applicatIOn. A conventional dnving room space and mechanIcal structure are suggested in design stage In the restricted desIgn conditions, motor parameters are determined for sufficient torque and speed<br/> For the smooth torque generation and simple circuit of power system, 12/8 motor drive is considered. With FEM and magnetic circuit analysis, designed motor is simulated to meet the requirement of specifications. Effectiveness of the suggested SRM drive for EPS application is verified by the manufactured prototype motor drive tests.
