중합 효소 연쇄반응을 이용한 Methicillin-내성 포도상구균의 검출에 관한 연구

Recently, newly occurring, highly beta-lactam resistant strains of staphylococcus aureus. called methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains, have become common pathogens of nosocomial infections worldwide. Unfortunately, variable expressions of resistance and marked difference of resistance expression upon test conditions make routine susceptibility test methods are unreliable. A rapid and reliable test for the identification of methicillin-resistant staphylococci would be desirable so that appropriate therapy could be begun early, and expensive, toxic therapy could be avoided. Available data suggest that methicillin-resistant staphylococci of different species have mecA gene, the structural gene of resistance, in the 533-bp region. Recent progress in molecular biology, PCR, make it possible to amplify a specific target gene. In this study, we are trying to demon- strate that detection of mecA gene by PCR is useful for identifying MRSA, and applicate it clinically for early detection of MRSA. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Detection of mecA gene by PCR are 76 over 78 strains of methicillin-resistance and 1 over 33 strains of methicillin-susceptible staphyloicocci. 2. The result gave sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value as 99%, 97, %, 98.7%, and 84.1% respectively. 3. Detection of mecA gene by PCR are 17 over 18 strains of methicillin- resistance and 4 over 16 strains of methicillin-sensitive coagulase negative staphylococci. 4. The result gave sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value as 94.4%, 75%, 81%, and 92.3% respectively. Detection of mecA gene by PCR for determining methicillin-resistance staphylococci was rapid, easily interpretable and accurate method.
도플러 초음파를 이용한 신생아기의 장 혈류 속도에 관한 연구 : Postnatal adaptations and responses to feeding

Recent studies have reported noninvasive characterization of the neonatal gut blood flow variables. In neonates, impairment of blood supply to the bowel has been thought to play an important role in the causation of conditions, such as necrotizing enterocolities. Information about normal hemodynamics of the bowel may help investigators evaluate the role of neonatal complications in intenstinal perfusions. The main purpose of our study was to obtain normal values for blood flow variables including diameter, peak systolic velocity(PSV), and diastolic velocity(EDV), flow velocity integral(FVI), blood flow volume(BFV), and Pourcelot index of resistance(PI) in the superior mesenteric artery(SMA) and the celiac artery(CA). Analysis of the data related to feeding showed a significant change in PSV, EDV, FVI, BFV, and PI of both arteries : PSV increased from 785±22.4 ㎝/sec to 94.8±22.9 ㎝/sec in SMA and from 73.6±17.1 ㎝/sec to 89.0±19.0 ㎝/sec in the CA(p<0.05). FVI increased from 14.6±5.1 ㎝ to 18.8±6.0 ㎝ in the SMA and from 16.8±3.0 ㎝ to 18.9±6.6 ㎝ in the CA(p<0.05). BFV increased from 92.9±35.0 ㎖/min to 115.1±36.0 ㎖/min in the SMA and from 101.1±30.3 ㎖/min to 123.4±36.0 ㎖/min in the CA(p<0.05). PI increased from 0.79±0.07 to 0.85±0.05 in the SMA and From 0.73±0.10 to 0.85±0.12 in the CA(p<0.05).

In this paper, we focused on the implementation of e-learning system for training of power distribution operators in Power Company. And also this paper presents Web-based system for electric power quality analysis based on the LabVIEW approach to enhance streaming of live data and to facilitate the interaction on the PC platform The recent growth in the use of impactive nonlinear loads, electronic and medical devices with sensitiveness to power quality has caused many power quality problems and power supply-and-demand problem. Therefore, the proposed system can also support the solution tool for field operators in the various power quality problems.

국내 업체인 유니슨에서는 750kW Gearless형 풍력발전기, U50을 개발하였다. 개발된 풍력발전기는 대관령 풍력실증연구단지에 설치되었다. 풍력시스템의 전력품질 측정 및 평가는 계통에 대한 영향을 조사하는데 있어서 중요한 요소이다. 이 논문에서는 전력품질에 대한 국제기준인 IEC61400-21을 적용하여 U50풍력발전기의 전력품질에 대한 데이터 수집 및 수집된 데이터를 통해 U50풍력발전기가 계통에 미치는 전력품질의 영향을 검토하였다.
