티타늄 생산 원료로서 $TiO_2$는 천연 일메나이트 광석을 1823 K 이상에서 탄소와 함께 환원 및 산 침출을 통해 티타늄이 풍부한 슬래그로부터 생산할 수 있으나, 공정상 매우 높은 에너지 소비 및 다량의 침출 잔류물을 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 1573 K 이하 온도에서 $Na_2SO_4$에 의해 $FeTiO_3$의 황화 처리를 통해서 철 자원은 FeS 황화물 상으로써 티타늄 자원은 $TiO_2-Na_2O$계 산화물 상으로 분리할 수 있는 반응을 제안한다. 본 연구는 $FeTiO_3$의 황화 처리의 기초 연구로서, FeS 황화물 상과 $TiO_2$계 슬래그 상의 분리성에 미치는 환원 분위기의 영향과 대기 분위기 속에서 반응온도와 Sulfur 비에 따른 Fe, Ti, Na 등의 거동을 조사하였다. 1573 K 및 탄소 포화 조건에서 $FeTiO_3$의 Fe는 Fe-C-S 금속과 일부 FeS로 분리 가능하며, 산화물 내 농도는 4 mass% 정도로 감소하였다. 또한, Sulfur/Fe 비가 높아질수록 자성 분리 후 회수된 산화물의 Fe 농도가 증가하며, 회수된 금속상 내 Fe 농도는 감소하였다.
기초군사훈련에 따른 사관생도의 체력향상과 체력검정제도 개선방안

본 연구의 목적은 해군사관학교의 기초군사훈련에 따른 사관생도의 체력향상효과를 규명하고, 체력검정제도의 개선방안을 제시하는 것이다. 훈련 효과 규명을 위해 기존의 고강도 위주 군사훈련방식에서 탈피하여 신체적성 함양 중심의 프로그램을 점진적 강도 증가방식으로 시행, 그 결과를 분석하였고, 체력검정제도 개선방안도출을 위해 분류체계분석법과 구성원간 토의방법을 적용하였다. 남생도 129명, 여생도 13명을 대상으로 4주간의 훈련전후 측정한 2회의 체력검정 결과, 1,500미터 달리기(p<.001), 윗몸일으키기(남자 : p<.001, 여자 : p<.05), 팔굽혀펴기(p<.001) 전 종목에서 유의한 향상효과를 나타내었고, 체력검정제도 개선방안으로 첫째, 사관학교는 먼저 건강관련체력의 중요성을 인식하고 이를 바탕으로 적합한 종목을 선정해야 하며, 둘째, 준거지향기준방법을 적용하여 기준을 선택해야 하고, 셋째, 탈락자나 환자를 포함하여 전 생도의 체력증진에 기여할 수 있는 수준별, 체력요소별 체력관리프로그램을 개발, 적용할 필요성이 있다는 결과를 얻었다. 결론적으로 신체적성 함양에 중점을 두고 점진적 강도증가방법을 적용한 본 기초군사훈련이 사관생도의 체력향상에 있어 매우 효과적이었으며, 이를 지속적으로 발전시키기 위해서는 체력검정제도를 일회성 행사로 생각하는 기존의 인식에서 탈피하여, 체계적 훈련 프로그램 구성과 시행, 효과를 검증하는 체력검정의 적절한 종목과 기준선정, 그리고 지속적 관리프로그램 까지를 포함하는 개념으로 인식하고 개선해나가는 노력이 필요하다고 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical effects of the basic military training and present the improvement plan of the physical fitness test of the Korean Naval Academy. To investigate the effects of the basic military training, we carried out physical aptitude nurturing program by gradual intensity, instead of an existing high intensity training program. For deriving improvement plan of the physical fitness test, we carried out taxonomic analysis and member check. The results are as follows: During 4 weeks training in 129 male and 13 female midshipmen, 1.5km Run time was decreased significantly(p<.001) in all midshipmen. Sit-up Repetition was increased significantly(male: p<.001, female: p<.05) in all midshipmen. Push-up Repetition was increased significantly(p<.001) in all midshipmen. The improvement plan of physical fitness test is as follows: First, Naval academy must recognize health related fitness`s importance and select appropriate test event. Second, Criterion-referenced standard must be selected. Third. Physical fitness management program must be developed and carried out, it could be applicable for all midshipmen including dropouts and patient in every standard and requirements. In conclusion, this basic military training program, nurturing physical aptitude gradually, was very effective in physical fitness improvement. For developing this effect continuously, we need to have the overall recognition in importance of the physical fitness test, including arranging systematic training program, selecting optimal physical fitness test, and maintaining fitness management program.
증례 : Thiazide에 의한 저칼륨혈증성 횡문근융해증 2예

Hypokalemia is a common metabolic cause of rhabdomyolysis. Although treatment with thiazide causes hypokalemia frequently, hypokalemic rhabdomyolysis after administration with thiazide is very rare. Here we report two cases of hypokalemic rhabdomyolysis due to thiazide treatment. A 50-year-old woman who had been treated with thiazide for hypertension was admitted due to quadriplegia. The patient had a potassium level of 1.5 mEq/L, a creatinine phosphokinase (CPK) level of 21,346 IU/L, and a lactic dehydrogenase level (LDH) of 2,389 IU/L. An 80-year-old man who had been treated with thiazide for hypertension was admitted due to generalized weakness. His potassium level was 1.9 mEq/L, CPK was 29,000 IU/L, and LDH was 2,393 IU/L. There were no any other causes of rhabdomyolysis except hypokalemia due to thiazide treatment for both patients. With adequate hydration and potassium replacement, hypokalemic rhabdomyolysis recovered completely without sequele. (Korean J Med 72:100-104, 2007)
중간볼기근 강화 운동 시 하지 정렬이 엉덩관절 벌림근의 근활성도 및 근동원 순서에 미치는 영향

Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of alignment of the lower extremity during hip abduction exercise and clamshell exercise. Methods The subjects were twenty healthy men without low back pain or lower limb pain. Subjects performed four gluteus medius exercises: hip abduction (AB), hip abduction with the alignment of the lower extremity (AB-AL), clamshell (CLAM), clamshell with the alignment of lower extremity (CLAM-AL). Surface EMG was used to measure hip abductor muscle activity and recruitment pattern from the five muscles: gluteus medius (Gmed), tensor fascia latae (TFL), gluteus maximus upper fiber (GmaxU), gluteus maximus lower fiber (GmaxL), and quadratus lumborum (QL). Results TFL EMG activity was significantly greater in AB than in AB-AL (p>.05). Gmed was significantly greater in CLAM than in CLAM-AL. Gmed, TFL, QL were significantly greater AB than CL. GmaxU, GmaxL were significantly greater CLAM than AB (p>.05). In the recruitment pattern, there was a difference between AB and CLAM (p<.05). However, In both exercises, there was no difference according to lower extremity alignment (p<.05). Conclusion It is recommended to perform the exercise in consideration of the type of exercise and the alignment of the lower extremity according to the aim of training.

Bee stings result in diverse clinical manifestations from localized pain, rash to life-threatening systemic allergic reactions or toxic reactions. Toxic reactions include skin necrosis, pancreatitis, acute renal failure, hemolysis or coagulopathy, while systemic allergic reactions present with IgE-mediated anaphylaxis. We experienced a 63-year-old woman who developed rhabdomyolysis and diabetic ketoacidosis after bee sting. The patient was accompanied by pulmonary edema due to acute kidney injury, which was recovered by intensive hemodialysis treatment. Here, we report a rare and serious case induced by bee sting with a review of the literature. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2018;6:128-130)
