급성 제초제 중독의 임상 양상: Chlorophenoxy계 제초제 중심으로

Purpose: Herbicide-related mortality has decreased since the complete ban of paraquat product sales in 2012, but there still have been other herbicides intoxications with relatively severe complications. Glyphosate and glufosinate herbicides are used widely, and considerable research has been conducted. Chlorophenoxy herbicide is another major herbicide that has shown poor outcomes and mortality without proper management, but research in this area is lacking. Therefore, this study compared the clinical features of chlorophenoxy herbicide with those of other herbicides. Methods: The medical records of patients exposed to herbicides at a tertiary academic university hospital in Korea from May 2014 to April 2019 were reviewed retrospectively. The demographic and clinical data of 135 patients were then analyzed to identify the recent herbicides intoxication trends after the paraquat sales ban, focusing mainly on chlorophenoxy herbicide poisoning. Results: Of the 135 patients, 13 patients (9.6%) had chlorophenoxy herbicide poisoning. No significant differences in all the variables were observed between the chlorophenoxy herbicide poisoning group and non-chlorophenoxy herbicides poisoning groups. Toxic symptoms after poisoning varied from nothing noticeable to confusion; none of the patients had severe complications after their treatments. Conclusion: Acute chlorophenoxy poisoning is relatively less severe, with lower mortality rates than glyphosate and glufosinate poisoning.
가시화 기법을 사용한 자유낙하하는 반구모델의 자세각 및 항력계수 측정

마하수 6 조건에서 반구 모델에 대해 자세각의 변화에 따른 항력계수를 연구하였다. 충격파 터널에서 실험이 진행되었으며 지지대 유동 간섭을 최소화하기 위해 자유낙하 기법을 사용하였다. 자유낙하하는 반구 모델의 자세와 항력계수를 측정하기 위해 계단식 모듈과 전자석을 이용한 자유낙하 기법을 구축하였고 초고속 카메라를 통한 shadowgraph 기법을 사용하였다. In this work, the effect of attitude angle variation on drag coefficients of hemisphere in a Mach 6 flow has been investigated. Experiments were conducted in a shock tunnel and a free-falling technique was used to minimize flow disturbance by a sting. For attitude and drag coefficient measurements of a free-falling hemisphere, a free-falling technique based on a releasing mechanism with a stair-typed module and an electromagnet was developed. A shadowgraph technique was used for flow visualization using a high-speed camera.
산전진단된 Down증후군 30례의 초음파소견과 임상적 고찰

Obstetric record and prenatal ultrasound findings were reviewed in 30 fetuses which have been proved Down syndrome(trisomy21)during 7 year period. Elderly gravida above 35 years old were 15 cases among 30 cases(50%) Eleven cases(65%) among 17 were maternal serum screening positive for Down syndrome. In 11 out of 15 women below 35 years old, obtained fetal karyotyping because of abnormal ultrasound finding(73%) which reviewed nuchal translucency(5 cases) in early pregnancy. When modified Benacerraf scoring(Thickened nuchal fold 2, Major abnormality 2, Short femur 1, Short humerus 1, Pyelectasis 1, Hyperechogenic bowel 1, Choroid plexus cyst 1, Nuchal translucency 2, We added a nuchal translucency over 3 mm to our modified system) was applied in ultrasound finding, 18 case had score above 2. Sensitivity and specificity was respectively 60%, 99% by ultrasound screening for Down Syndrome using modified Benacerraf scoring above 2. In the future, it may be possible to combine sonographic scoring system, maternal age, and the triple marker serum evaluation to refine further the prediction of risk of Down syndrome.
