When building a structure on soft clayey ground, in order to secure the stability of structure and to control the settlement of clayey ground(immediately, consolidation and creep settlements) caused by the applied structure loads, the ground improvement methods are performed. In these methods, DCM(Deep Cement Mixing) method have used frequently to reinforce of soft ground and to control of lateral displacement. Thus, soil foundation improved by DCM would be different their behavior and displacement by arrangement types of improved soil body and loading direction, even if being with same improvement ratios. But related studies had been rare up to now. Therefore, this study aimed at analysing stress-strain behavior of soil foundation improved by DCM method with its different arrangement types(wall and pile types). In this study, to clarify the applicability of used FEM model, laboratory model ground tests and numerical analyses based on 3-dimensional Elasto-Plastic Constitutive equation were carried out. Then, the applicability of numerical analysis model was checked by comparing model test with numerical analysis.
