By storing various train information in running high speed train, we can analyze the cause of train accident efficiently. we have developed the smart and high available control method to control and manage the hardware modules. The hardware modules for event recorder consist CPU, Digital Input and Output, Pulse Input, Communication, Control Panel and Crash Protected Memory. The real time operation system is used to totally control and manage the various hardware modules. The main function of control method is collection of train information, calculation of train speed, interface with other on-board control system, storing and retrieving train information, and communication with Control Panel. In Control Panel, it displays the current train speed and the status of event recorder effectively. Also user interface is provided in Control Panel.

The surveillance system for urban transit now adapt the newest IT technology. The Surveillance system analyzes the video information from various cameras intelligently and determines the critical status automatically. Other sensors, for example fire sensor and audio sensor are used in the surveillance system for increasing the correctness of surveillance. The surveillance system tries to increase the performance of surveillance by gathering lots of information for the current situation and analyzing them intelligently. IP-Based Integrated system needs the distributed computer system with location and functions. For correctly running this system, a distributed software is needed. In this paper, we study the distributed software for IP-based integrated surveillance system. The required functions, safety and extendability are suggested.
음성 통화 저장 기능을 제공하는 고속전철용 Event Recorder 연구

A event recorder system stores a train speed and the related information for train operation in real time. Using those information, we can analysis the train operation and the reason of train accident. Currently the event recorder only manipulate the data related the train operation mechanically and electrically. In this paper we propose the event recorder to record the voice communication between the manager in the control center and train operator. By recording the voice communication in the high speed train, the correctness of analysis of train accident can be increased. The system architecture of the event recorder with voice recording is studied and interface between other equipment is proposed. And the software architecture of new event recorder is developed. We study the method of converting analog voice signal into digital data and compressing method. Also the architecture of memory to store the compressed voice data and regeneration of original analog voice are studied.
Event Recorder를 위한 Crash Protected Memory 개발

In high speed railway, event recorder is essential system for analyzing the cause of train accident. It stores train operation sent by train control system in safe memory unit. Crash protected memory, the safe memory unit for event recorder, keeps the stored contents from severe environment. For crash protected memory, we have designed the architecture of concrete enclosure and controller board. Proposed system provides large volume of memory capacity and fault tolerance architecture. For checking the characteristics of proposed crash protected memory specification, the simulation is executed. Simulation results shows the designed crash protected memory meets all requirements.

In high speed railway, event recorder system stores a train speed and the related data for train operation in real time. Using those information, we can analysis the train operation and the reason of train accident. Analysis software gets the stored data from Event Recorder and shows the status of various signals related with train operation. Using it, also we can analysis the train operation before and after the given time. In this paper we propose the analysis software to show and analysis the operation of high speed train. The method of transferring the stored data from Event Recorder into Analysis Software is proposed. We develop the efficient procedure to store the transferred data into analysis system. Also the effective method to show the store data and to analysis them is studied for finding the cause of train accident.

To guarantee safety and reliability, RAMS(Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety) activity for a communication software in train communication network is studied. In this paper, preliminary hazard analysis in RAMS activities is studied for the communication software. Preliminary hazard analysis is done through library for communication software that the specification is defined by IEC 61375. The hazards are defined, then causes and consequence for each hazard are defined. The total 36 preliminary hazards are classified. For high severity hazards are changed to acceptable level by upgrading of system requirement specification.
