텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 한국과 미국의 블록체인 이슈 비교 분석

최근 비트코인 열풍과 함께 촉발된 블록체인 기술에 대한 사회적 관심이 상당하며, 블록체인의 특성 및 산업적 활용도에 관한 논의가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 블록체인과 관련된 기존 연구들 또한 블록체인 기술에 대한 고찰과 각종 산업 및 공공서비스 등 사회 전 분야에 걸친 활용 방안을 다루고 있다. 블록체인과 같은 신기술을 산업에서는 기술 자체에 대한 이해 및 적용 분야를 논하는 것도 중요하지만, 기술 발전적인 환경 조성을 위해 사회적 인식이 어떠한 지를 인지하는 것도 필요한데 이에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 소셜미디어 마이닝을 통해 블록체인과 관련된 한국과 미국의 긍∙부정 이슈를 파악하고, 그 결과를 비교 분석하여 블록체인 기술과 산업적 및 정책적 방향성에 대한 시사점을 찾고자 한다. 본 연구는 한국과 미국의 온라인 포럼 및 인터넷 뉴스 기사에서 블록체인이 언급된 글을 수집하여 동시출현 단어 분석 및 토픽모델링을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 한국과 미국의 소셜미디어에서 추출된 키워드 및 토픽의 공통점과 차이점을 발견하였으며, 이를 토대로 건강한 블록체인 생태계 구축에 도움이 될 수 있는 시사점 및 향후 연구를 위한 방향성을 제시해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Blockchain technology, which enables transparent transactions among individuals without central control, opens up diverse business possibilities. It is also expected that blockchain will have a ripple effect on the entire area of society including finance, manufacturing, distribution, and the public sector. Previous studies related to the blockchain also deals with its functional features and application to industrial and public fields. In the new technology such as blockchain, it is necessary to know what social perception is in order to create technological development environment, but there is a lack of research on it. Therefore, this study aims to find out the implications for industrial and policy direction by analyzing issues related to the blockchain in South Korea and the US through text mining. From these two countries, we collected text data related to blockchain in online communities and internet articles. Then, we did co-occurrence analysis and topic modeling on them respectively. As a result of this study, we have found common points and differences in keywords and topics extracted from social media in the two countries. Based on them, we can offer helpful suggestions for building a sound blockchain ecosystem, and directions for future research.

사이버비행 요인 파악 및 예측모델 개발: 혼합방법론 접근

Purpose Cyber deviance of adolescents has become a serious social problem. With a widespread use of smartphones, incidents of cyber deviance have increased in Korea and both quantitative and qualitative damages such as suicide and depression are increasing. Research has been conducted to understand diverse factors that explain adolescents’ delinquency in cyber space. However, most previous studies have focused on a single theory or perspective. Therefore, this study aims to comprehensively analyze motivations of juvenile cyber deviance and to develop a predictive model for delinquent adolescents by integrating four different theories on cyber deviance. Design/methodology/approach By using data from Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey 2010, this study extracts 27 potential factors for cyber deivance based on four background theories including general strain, social learning, social bonding, and routine activity theories. Then this study employs econometric analysis to empirically assess the impact of potential factors and utilizes a machine learning approach to predict the likelihood of cyber deviance by adolescents. Findings This study found that general strain factors as well as social learning factors have positive effects on cyber deviance. Routine activity-related factors such as real-life delinquent behaviors and online activities also positively influence the likelihood of cyber diviance. On the other hand, social bonding factors such as community commitment and attachment to community lessen the likelihood of cyber deviance while social factors related to school activities are found to have positive impacts on cyber deviance. This study also found a predictive model using a deep learning algorithm indicates the highest prediction performance. This study contributes to the prevention of cyber deviance of teenagers in practice by understanding motivations for adolescents’ delinquency and predicting potential cyber deviants.

Recently, the growth of beauty industry such as plastic surgery and beauty is continued every year in Korea. With the increased interest in appearance based on the improvement of life standard and the development of media, people’s perception of cosmetic plastic surgery is changing. Now, as the service for consumer satisfaction based on their desire, the perception of plastic surgery medical service is changed to the high value-added industry with the high growth potential. Thus, this study aims to suggest the strategies for providing the medical service that could satisfy customers, by drawing the factors cognized as important when customers aim to get the cosmetic plastic surgery, and then additionally analyzing the relationships of those factors. On top of performing the topic modeling based on customers’ comments data of social commerce related to cosmetic plastic surgery, this study also conducted the network analysis for visualizing the relations of each keywords. The drawn main factors were divided by applying the sub-categories of the SERVQUAL theory, and the additional characteristics of plastic surgery were shown by referring the relevant previous researches. Moreover, the interview with the cosmetic plastic surgery specialists (plastic surgeons) and customers who actually received the plastic surgery, helped the understanding of the interpretation of each factor and the actual relevant phenomenons. The significance of this study is to draw and discuss the main factors that should be observed by Korean cosmetic plastic surgery medical institutes, by mining and analyzing the opinions of customers interested in the cosmetic plastic surgery and procedure with the use of topic modeling. In other words, the quality of medical service of cosmetic plastic surgery could be improved by presenting the key factors that could be considered by the cosmetic plastic surgery medical service suppliers and also the actual strategies.

운동에 영향을 끼치는 피트니스 앱 요인 연구

Purpose An increase in the number of fitness apps across the world is a testament to the growing interest in health. As focus on medical services shifted from treatment to prevention, this type of app plays an essential role in promoting one’s health and exercise management. Yet little has been known about practical effects of fitness apps in existing literature thus this study searches for factors that affect daily use of fitness apps and examine the relationship between app usage and exercise patterns. Design/methodology/approach This study surveyed people who used Cashwalk, the pedometer app for a minimum of a week to analyze reasons why they used the app. Particpants’ exercise patterns were also recorded. By examining survey results of fitness app users and developing a research model based on the Customer Value Theory, this study provides real-life factors to the fitness and smart health care industry that will adopt a proactive lifestyle pattern. Findings Empirical analysis proved properties such as the complexity of fitness apps, monetary rewards, exercise monitoring and the enjoyment of using fitness apps contribute to using fitness apps on a daily basis. Furthermore, more daily use of fitness apps was shown to have a greater impact on exercise. This study also confirmed that social comparison does not affect the daily use of fitness apps and the amount of exercise, and the habitual walking was proved to directly affect the amount of exercise.
