Isolated fracture dislocation of the tarsal navicular bone is a very rare injury. The mechanism of injury of this fracture dislocation is known as a horizontal or axial load in plantar flexed foot. Anatomical reduction using closed or open methods is recommended for displaced navicular fractures to achieve a satisfactory result and early mobilization of the foot is required to get a good range of motion at the tarsal joint. Authors report one case of isolated fracture dislocation of the tarsal navicular which was treated with closed reduction and percutaneous K-wire fixation.

Purpose: To determine more useful method by comparing the functional recovery and postoperative complications according to operative methods in treatment of unstable trochanteric fracture of the femur with osteoporotic bone. Materials and Methods: Of 45 cases with unstable femoral trochanteric fracture with osteoporosis who had been able to ambulate before injury, we compared postoperative functional recovery and complications between 25 cases treated by cemented bipolar hemiarthroplasty and 20 cases treated by dynamic compression hip screw. Results: Of 45 cases who had been treated by cemented bipolar hemiarthroplasty and dynamic compression hip screw, the functional results, according to the rating scale of Merle d Aubigne were rated as above good in 23 cases and 14 cases, respectively and postoperative mechanical complications were found in 2 cases and 7 cases, respectively. There was statistically significant difference(P$lt;0.05). Conclusion: Unstable trochanteric fracture of the femur with osteoporotic bone treated by cemented bipolar hemiarthroplasty showed good functional results and few mechanical complications for short term follow-up.

Through technical development of arthroscopic surgery, there is a trend to repair and keep the torn meniscus with rationale of anatomical restoration and functional recovcry of meniscus. Various method of repair have been introduced and it need specially designad expensive instruments. We designed and parformcd a simple method vehich is the Ougide-to-Inside tecbniqoe and subued in a vertical nuener and take several advantages of (1) No need for unnecessary skin incision (2) No need for specially designed instruments, that can be performed with only spinal needle (3) Getting more tensile force and good approximation compared to horizontal method.
