      • Nickel-Titanium File과 Stainless Steel File을 이용한 근관형성시 컴퓨터 단층좔영사진상의 근관형태 변화에 관한 연구

        The goals of root canal instrumentation are complete debridement of pulp tissue, removal of microbes and affected dentin, and proper cleaning and shaping of the root canal space before obturation. Instrumentation with stainless steel files has been shown to produce undesirable results in canals, regardless of the improved techniques or modified file types used. Nickel-Titanium(Ni-Ti) alloy has been shown to be exceptionally elastic, having a lower bending moment and lower permanent set after torsion, compared with similar gauge stainless steel. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the change of root canal morphology prepared by Ni-Ti rotary and stainless steel instruments. Thirty-four single rooted teeth of similar shape and canal size were divided into three exprermental and one unprepared groups. The teeth were scanned by computerized tomography before instrumentation. In K-file group, canals were instr unented using a step-back technique with K-file. In K-flex file group, canals were prepared with K-flex file using the same technique as group 1. Quantec group was prepared with Ni-Ti Quantec rotary instrument using the manufacture's instructions. Instrumented teeth were again scanned using computed tomography, and reformatted images of the uninstrumented canals were compared with images of the instrumented canals. K-flex file and Quantec file caused significantly less canal transportation than K-file in the root canal section 8 mm from the apex (p<0.05). K-flex file and Quantec file produced more centered canal preparation than K-file in the 2 mm section (p<0.05). Quantec file maintained the center of the canal more precisely than K-flex file in the 10 mm section (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the removed volume of canals among each groups (p>0.05).

        Registration and identification of companion dos in urban areas is important for the wellbeing of the animals themselves, owner's piece of mind, and to allow city to plan for future community needs. Recently, in Korea, all dogs in urban areas must be registered at the regional city offices. Owners are encouraged to implant microchips in their cats and dogs regardless of age as it ensures these pets can be quickly reunited with the owners after separation. We are aimed to conduct the survey research to evaluate the perception of companion dog's owners on the animal registration policy. We deals with the findings obtained from extensive interviews with a representative samples. The objectives of interviews included 300 owners in Iksan city. Questions focused on how people were recognized the need and policies of animal registration. Questionnaire and technical data are analysed and summarized. As the results of the survey research, the objectives of interviews had well understood about the policies of animal registration. Conclusionally, the promotions of animal registration policies were need. The development of fanimal registration policies were desirable for the establishment of companion animal welfare.

        용접 저온균열 감수성에 미치는 중심 편석의 영향

        Correlation between microstructural features and segregation of elements (Si, Mn, P and S) near the mid of thickness in the base metal and the synthetic HAZ was investigated. Furthermore, the relationship between the degree of center segregation and weld cold cracking susceptibility in the thickness direction was also conducted by evaluating the effect of P concentration on the critical applied stress. The results obtained are as follows: 1) Pearlite band, containing the MnS type inclusion and a locally transformed structure with a higher hardness, was observed in the center segregation region. 2) By the weld thermal cycle, center segregation region was transformed to the white band which had a higher hardness than that of base metal due to a greater hardenability of concentrated Mn, P etc.. 3) Weld cold cracking susceptibility in the thickness direction was mainly dependent on the concentration of impurity elements rather than on the number of the segregated particles near the mid of thickness. 4) During welding, the higher concentrated region was easily changed into white band. Therefore, it could be predicted that the initiation and propagation of a cold crack would be promoted by increasing the restraint stress and hydrogen content.
