A comparison of the thermal comfort according to the discharge air flow of the ceiling type 1-way air conditioner with the long distance flow cooling and the comfortable cooling is experimentally examined in the residential environment laboratory. To improve thermal comfort, the characteristics of the discharge air flow of the air conditioner were investigated by measuring the temperature, velocity and PMV. Due to the effect of the hybrid flow path, occupant zone maintained uniform temperature and the discharge air flow distance to the air conditioner was improved.

An Experimental investigation on the thermal comfort improvement according to the variation of air flow for the inverter driven residential air conditioner was conducted. This study presents an improvement method to reduce cold draft using hybrid flow path in the inverter driven wall mount split type residential air conditioner. To investigate the effect of the hybrid flow path, we measured the air flow velocity, temperature distribution and PMV, PPD under wind-free mode and compared to general cooling mode. Under wind-free mode, occupant zone was formed in still air condition(under 0.15m/s) and maintained uniform temperature distribution. Therefore, PMV and PPD were improved to meet the ASHRAE comfort zone

Studies on the residential air-conditioner are focused to evaluate the indoor thermal comfort and air quality to meet the growing demands of the occupants. there are various parameters which are influenced thermal comfort, such as temperature, humidity, air flow, cleanliness etc should be considered. Especially, Air flow is the most essential parameter to achieve comfort condition quickly but it causes cold draft upon prolonged exposure. This study presents an improvement method to reduce cold draft using hybrid flow path in the inverter driven floor standing type residential air conditioner. To investigate the effect of the hybrid flow path, we measured the air flow velocity, temperature distribution and PMV PPD under non-air flow mode and compared to general cooling mode. Under non-air flow mode, occupant zone was formed in still air condition(under 0.15m/s) and maintained uniform temperature distribution. Therefore, PMV and PPD were improved to meet the ASHRAE comfort zone

As growing of thermal comfort needs in the occupant zone, the air-flow distribution is key parameter in the indoor unit. In the ceiling type discharge airflow shape, we investigated to compared with thermal uniformity parameters which is temperatures and velocities in a space such as effective draft temperature, Air Diffusion Performance Index(ADPI). The objectives of this study is to compare with the 4-way and circular type discharge flow in indoor unit for temperature and flow velocity distribution and ADPI. Temperature and velocity was measured in artificial residential model house at standard condition. The air temperature distribution area in circular type indoor unit shows the 180% more than that of 4-way conventional type indoor unit. And the ADPI shows 13% higher than that of it. The results shows that the circular type indoor unit is higher than 4-way type indoor unit due to thermal uniformity, even it has a lower draft for occupant zone and more wider temperature distribution in the space.

This paper focused on the indoor thermal comfort improvement by the wind free floor-standing type air conditioner. Evaluate the indoor thermal comfort and air quality to meet the growing demands of the occupants, a circulator was applied to the air conditioner. There are various parameters which are influenced thermal comfort, Especially, Air flow is the most essential parameter to achieve comfort condition. This study presents the thermal comfort improvement method by using a circulator to the air conditioner. Air flow rate increased 20% higher by the circulator. Circulator fan spread cold air wide and achieve comfort condition fast. When the occupant zone reached to the comfort condition air flow can be changed to the wind free mode to reduce cold draft. To investigate the effect of the circulator fan, we measured the air flow velocity, temperature distribution and compared to general cooling mode.

에어컨 실내기 조립 시 부품간 간섭이 발생하는 위치와 원인 분석을 위해, 3차원 공차해석을 수행하고 부품공차 및 조립 갭을 최적화했다. 민감도 분석을 통해 초기 설계에서 drain과 body 조립부의 불량발생 확률이 72.6%로 가장 높은 것을 확인했고, 또한 유한요소해석(FEA)을 활용 에어컨 실내기의 난방작동 시 열 변형으로 인해 최대 약 1mm의 변위가 발생하여 부품간 간섭이 발생할 수 있음을 확인했다. 이런 부품간 간섭을 최소화기 위해서 3D 공차 해석의 민감도 분석결과를 토대로 drain의 부품공차를 수정하였다. 개선 공차 반영 해석결과 불량률이 0.03%로 크게 감소함을 확인하였다. 또한, 개선공차 반영 시 에어컨 작동 중 열 변형이 발생하여도 부품간 간섭이 발생하지 않음을 FEA를 통해 검증하였다. To identify locations and causes of interference among parts of an indoor air-conditioning unit, a 3D tolerance analysis was performed and optimized with respect to assembly gaps and the tolerance of each part . The maximum value of the defect rate resulting from the tolerance analysis was found to be 72.6 at the assembly portion of the body and drain. The maximum displacement caused by the thermal deformation during a heating operation was calculated to be approximately 1 mm by using finite element analysis (FEA). Therefore, it is possible that an interference among the assembled parts occurs. The tolerance of the drain was modified by the results of the sensitivity analysis. As a result, the defect rate was greatly reduced to 0.03. Through the FEA results of the indoor air?conditioning unit , it was shown that the improved tolerance of the drain decreased the interference among the assembled parts even though thermal deformation occurs during operation.

Long and indirect air flow have been required for 4-way ceiling type cassette. In this paper, We show how to make long and comfort wind free air flow considering cold draft by using hybrid flow for 4-way ceiling type indoor units. To investigate the effect of the hybrid flow path, we measured the air flow velocity, distance, temperature distribution and PMV, PPD. The effect of the hybrid air flow path air flow distance was two times further and under wind-free mode, occupant zone was formed in still air condition(under 0.15m/s) and maintained uniform temperature distribution. 본 연구는 가정용에어컨 사용데이터를 기반으로 설정온도를 자동으로 설정하기 위한 머신러닝 기법을 이용한 모델링에 관한 연구로서, 가정용 에어컨 사용자의 패턴을 학습하고, 학습된 모델링을 통해 사용자에게 선호하는 설정온도를 자동으로 제공할 수 있다. 에어컨과 머신러닝이 탑재된 클라우드 시스템을 구성하였으며, 실제 데이터를 기반으로 데이터 학습 및 모델링의 생성, 생성된 모델링을 이용한 예측을 통해 설정값을 예측하였으며, 학습된 데이터의 평균예측 에러율은 11%로 나타났다
