This paper is concerned with trends analysis of various motion capture systems for sports motion analysis. Motion capture is ideal for a wide range of sports applications in research, rehabilitation, physical education and practice. Physical limitations and movement optimization are of great interest to athletes, coaches, researchers and doctors. Motion capture allows us to learn more about injury mechanism and prevention. It can also be used to improve a players technique for better results in various sports applications. Examples of sports where the motion capture systems are used today include golf, baseball, tennis, skiing, dance, soccer, martial arts, fencing, rowing, gymnastics, and horse riding. Therefore, we investigate and analyze three categories of motion capture systems such as optical sensor-based, inertial sensor-based, and others for sports motion analysis.

This paper presents a performance comparison analysis of human detection using Faster RCNN(Region based Convolutional Neural Network) and ACF(Aggregate Channel Feature). The Faster RCNN consists of Region Proposal Network (RPN), which is merged with the existing Fast RCNN by sharing the convolutional feature. Fast RCNN deduces all of estimated regions of object through one computation of CNN on one image. The ACF obtains multiple channels from one image and combines the channels. The combined image is smoothed to obtain a low-resolution channel. Pixels are integrated and a feature vector is formed. It separates the background and the person by decision tree and boost. The used database is 10 videos on road driving situations downloaded on Youtube. Also, additional database obtained directly from two cameras in the road driving situation is used. Experimental results show that Faster RCNN detection is 2.86 times more accurate than ACF detection.

In this paper, a performance comparison of deep-learning models for pedestrian classification under automobile driving environment is performed. Most automobiles nowadays are equipped with black boxes, and driver assistance systems are also applied to camera based image processing technologies. Pedestrian classification plays an important role in determining the final decision whether a candidate region is a person or not. We perform the transfer learning based on AlexNet, GoogLeNet, and ResNet that are well known as deep-learning models. For comparison experiments of the deep learning models, we used INRIA database and Chosun University (CU) database constructed under automobile driving environment. The INRIA training data set is used for transfer learning and performance validation is used with INRIA testing data set and CU database. The experimental results showed that the performance of ResNet based on transfer learning outperformed AlexNet and GoogLeNet.
