This system can detect a ground fault point or a bad insulated line by measuring a power plant DC feeder insulation resistance at the uninterruptible power status. And when the power plant DC feeder with low frequency AC signal has a ground fault, this measuring system can keep recording of its ground fault current and phase checked by Z.C.T. Therefore the power plant could protect a unexpected service interruption.

A hybrid circuit for the closed-loop control of step motors that avoids encoder position sensor is presented. The operation of the circuit is illustrated by application of the controller to a variable reluctance(VR) type step motor. Because the stator winding induction is a function of rotor position, the current rise time in a chopper drive is used to determine rotor position and phase switching. The paper includes discussion of how the techniques can be applied to closed-loop step motor control.

Linear pulse motor(LPM) has been used in a wide range of application due to many advantages for the precision position and speed control system for the bidirectional linear motion. In this study, the hybrid, single-side type LPM was designed and examined for characteristics of position detection. Precision position detection signals could be sensed by synchronous rectifier method from the LPM stator scale. Experimental results show that the position precisions are good enough to perform the LPM position control.

As jumpers for overhead transmission lines increase in size, it is necessary to take into the characteristics of jumper swaying space in order to determine jumper reinforcements adequately. From the theory of a structure made of beams, formulas for the sideway swaying of overhead transmission lines due to wind are modeled. And also natural frequency of the vibrated jumper is estimated to check the system resonance. The theoretical results can be led good suggestions to improve the economy and reliability of jumper structure.

Local heating transportation pipe has sensor and return lines to detect water-leakage. There are impulse and resistance comparison measurement types for a water-leakage detection. The impulse type shows large detection error within a measurement range. Since the resistance comparison type can find a comparative accurate single water-leakage point in the measurement range of heating pipe, it has been used to detect water-leakages these days. However if the multi water-leakages are happened in the measurement range of transportation pipe, the resistance comparison type shows a detection error point by the parallel resistance between a detection sensor line and ground. But the detection error will be minimized by the divided transportation pipe loops. In this research, it suggests the design of remote controlled detection system which can divide a large pipe loop and a possible single water-leakage measurement process in each divided loops.
