This paper proposed iterative algorithm for IRS aided MIMO systems for improving sum rate. For solving non-convex problem, this paper obtained alternative optimizing solution by using proposed iterative algorithm. The proposed iterative algorithm calculates the element of IRS one by one fixing other IRS elements. This proposed algorithm can achieve good performance comparted to random IRS elements.

For the fifth-generation wireless communication, hybrid beamforming (HB) is considered as a solution for reducing radio frequency chains in millimeter-wave massive MIMO systems. However, the number of radio frequency (RF) chains cannot be reduced under the number of data streams in HB scheme. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) can be adopted to solve this problem. But NOMA causes the interference between users. Finally, the spectral efficiency of paired users in HB based on NOMA is affected by the interference. In this paper, a power allocation scheme considering interference is proposed for QoS Support of intra-pair users. As a result, the spectral efficiency of intra-pair users can be same.

This paper proposes an estimation scheme of iteration number of Gauss-Seidel(GS) precoding in downlink massive multiple input multiple output(MIMO) system for optimal error performance. For estimating iteration number, the propose scheme calculates normalized Euclidean distance(NED) between the prior and updated GS precoding symbols using the property of decrease function of the GS precoding. The number of optimal iterations is estimated by comparing the NED with a threshold. The simulation results proves that an accuracy of estimation is very high when the number of transmit antennas is 2.5 times larger than the number of users, and the proposed scheme has optimal error performance.
