With the development of specialized nutrition therapy and the need for interdisciplinary approach, nutrition support teams (NSTs) were created to optimize effectiveness and safety of nutritional therapy. NSTs are interdisciplinary support teams with specialty training in nutrition that are typically comprised of physicians, dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, and others. Their role includes nutrition screening, assessment, determination of nutrition needs, recommendations for appropriate nutrition therapy, management of nutrition support therapy, and monitoring. Studies have demonstrated significant improvements in patient nutrition status and improved clinical outcomes as well as reductions in costs when patients were appropriately managed by NSTs. Organization and the role of NSTs are discussed in this review. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2015;65:342-345)

예비유아교사의 인권의식과 다문화수용성의 관계: 공감능력의 매개효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 예비유아교사의 인권의식과 다문화수용성 및 공감능력 간의 관계를 살펴보고 인권의식이 다문화수용성에 미치는 영향에서 공감능력의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 J도와 G시에 위치한 대학교의 유아교육과 재학생 153명이다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였으며 기술통계 및 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 예비유아교사의 인권의식, 공감능력, 다문화수용성은 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 인권의식과 공감능력은 다문화수용성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 인권의식과 다문화수용성의 관계에서 공감능력은 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 예비유아교사의 다문화수용성 증진을 위하여 인권의식, 공감능력의 중요성에 대해 논의하였으며, 다문화수용성 및 인권의식 함양과 공감능력을 증진할 수 있는 프로그램 개발과 교육과정 운영 등 다각적인 방안 모색이 필요함을 시사하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among pre-service early childhood teachers’ human rights awareness, multicultural acceptability, and empathic ability, and to examine the mediating effect of empathic ability in the relationship between human rights awareness and multicultural acceptability. The subjects of this study were 153 early childhood education students from universities located in J province and G city. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program, for descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significant correlation among pre-service early childhood teachers’ human rights awareness, empathic ability, and multicultural acceptability. Second, pre-service early childhood teachers’ human rights awareness and empathic ability had a significant effect on multicultural acceptability. Third, empathic ability had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between human rights awareness and multicultural acceptability of pre-service early childhood teachers. Based on these results, this study discussed the importance of human rights awareness and empathic ability to promote multicultural acceptability of pre-service early childhood teachers, and suggested that it is necessary to encourage program development and curriculum management to promote multicultural acceptability, human rights awareness, and empathic ability.
