소방은 화재진압에서 시작되었다는 것에서 자긍심을 가져야 하지만, 국민에게 오래된 전통에 의해 평가를 받기보다는 국민의 안전을 위한 새로운 시각에서 재조명되어야 한다. 같은 소방업무 중에도 재난관리 단계별로 어느 부분을 더 중요하게 생각하는지 해석이 다를 수 있다, 최근 '예방' 업무의 중요성이 부각되고 있으나 '예방' 단계에서의 소방의 역할에 대해 다시 고민해 보아야 한다.
픽토그램을 활용한 중재가 학령기 지적장애 아동들의 상징능력에 미치는 효과

Purpose: As our modern generation's standard of living and its culture are developing, it is easy to encounter media that represent symbolic language like signs which represents buildings, traffic signs, graphic pictures on a billboard, and pictures of tourist sites. To be able to understand symbolic language and effectively delivers one's intention, one would need the ability to understand and interpret the meanings which visual images represent. The purpose of this study was to determine if intervention utilizing pictograms was effective on the ability of school-aged children with intellectual disabilities to recognize symbols. Methods: This study was conducted on four children with intellectual disabilities, and a pre-post design was used in order to investigate the effects of this study on the participants' ability to recognize symbols.This study was divided into the following areas: the ability to comprehend pictorial symbols, the ability to comprehendsituational symbols, and the ability to express situational symbols. Results: First, the ability to comprehend pictorialsymbols improved in post-evaluation over the pre-evaluation for all study subjects. Second, the ability to comprehendsituational symbols improved in post-evaluation over pre-evaluation for all study subjects. Third, the ability to expresssituational symbols improved in post-evaluation over pre-evaluation for all study subjects. Conclusions: Based on theresults, it can be concluded that intervention utilizing pictograms has a positive effect on the ability of school-agedchildren with intellectual disabilities to recognize symbols.
