        흰쥐 골격근의 노화성 위축에 대한 운동훈련의 영향 - II. 장기간에 걸친 체중부하 훈련의 영향 -

        The present study was designed to examine effect of long term weight-training on aging atrophy in the rat skeletal muscle. Male rats of 8, 15, and 24 month old were used. Each age groups included control and weight-training for 5 months by using body press apparatus. The histo- and cytochemical, ultrastructural and stereological changes in aging skeletal muscles of the rat were observed in the present study. During the training period the body weight and muscular weight in all groups except the rectus femoris and the gastrocnemius in young age groups remained constant, but muscular weights were increased in the rectus femoris and the gastrocnemius muscles in young age groups. In trained rat, the volume density of muscle fiber type IIA and IIB were increased, but those of type IIC was decreased. Type I remained constant in 8 and 15 month old age groups, but reduced in the tibialis anterior and the gastrocnemius muscles in the 24 month old groups. Some histotological and ultrastructural changes associated with age were found: numerical increase of cytiplasmic vacuoles, lysosomes, lipofuscins, and irregularity of myofibrils. At 24 month old groups some unusual formation of contraction band and muscle splitting were observed. After weight-training, ultrastructural degenerative changes occured in the type I muscle fiber, such as splitting of muscle fiber, disorganization of myofilaments, swelling of mitochondria, accumulation of many lipid droplets, appearance of many lysosomes and residual bodies and necrotic fibers, in the old age groups. But, in the type II muscle fibers hypertrophy of muscle fiber appeared without any noticible damage as the type I. The activities of $Mg^{++}$ -ATPase decreased with age and this enzyme activities in the trained rat were significantly decreased with age. Activities of the acid phosphatase were increased with age and significantly in the trained rat. In stereological analysis, volume density of the myofibrils and the tubular system were increased, on the other hand there mitochondrial capacity was decreased. These experimental results suggested that old rats are not susceptible to be affected by weight-training as young rats, and that physical capacity of the rats must be considered when old rats are exercised for training.

      • 인삼복용이 태권도선수의 대사기질 및 호르몬에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ginseng supplementation on metabolic substrate(glucose, FFA), metabolic hormone(catecholamine). Fourteen Taekwondo athletes were matched and randomly placed into ginseng(22.9±1.79yrs; n=7) and placebo supplementation(22.4±2.12yrs; n=7). All subjects were either supplemented a standardized ginseng capsule(containing 300㎎ of ginseng in each capsule for ginseng supplementation group) or ingested a placebo capsule(containing 300㎎ of rice powder in each capsule for placebo group) for 4wks. Both capsules used in this study had the same size, weight, shape, and color. Before and after the intervention, each subjects performed incremental cycle ergometer test under controlled laboratory conditions. All exercise sessions took place on a Monark ergometer(@ 50 RPM), performing 20 minutes of cycling at 2kp. After 20minutes, work rate was gradually increased(1kp/every 2minutes) until exhaustion. Blood samples were obtained before and immediately after exercise session. Acute exercise increased blood glucose concentration, but FFA concentration did not induce any significant change. Catecholamine(epinephrine, norepinephrine) concentration increased significantly after immediately exercise. After ginseng supplementation glucose and FFA was observed unchanged. There was no measurable change in epinephrine concentration with ginseng supplementation. However ginseng supplementation increased norepinephrine concentration after immediately exercise. In conclusion acute exercise increase blood glucose and catecholamine concentration. Ginseng supplementation enhanced this exercise induced increase of metabolic hormone. Further study needed to elucidate the exact mechanism with ginseng supplementation. However ginseng supplementation increased norepinephrine concentration after immediately exercise.         牟宗三의 儒學觀과 그 현대적 의의 - ‘인간다움’의 실현에 대한 문제를 중심으로 -

        본 논문은 모종삼(牟宗三)의 유학관에 근거하여 인간의 주체성 회복을 통한 ‘인간다움’의 실현이란 문제에 대해 논의한다. 현재 과학기술에 기반을 둔 산업자본이 계속 발전과 팽창을 추구할수록 인간들의 존재가치는 계속해서 약화되고 있으며, 인간들은 더욱더 삶의 방향성을 상실해 가고 있다고 할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 측면에서 현대 사회에서 인간의 지위와 역할, 그리고 인간다움의 실현에 대한 문제에 주목하지 않을 수 없는 것이다. 현대인들은 물질문명의 혜택 속에서 무한 소비를 통한 욕구충족에만 몰두하고 있다. 인간의 만족도가 올라가는 만큼 지구를 비롯한 인간의 환경은 점차 인간을 포함한 지구 종말의 위험도가 함께 상승하고 있는 현실을 피부로 느끼고 있는 것이다. 인류를 포함한 전 지구적 생태환경의 개선과 안전을 확보하기 위해서는 인간들이 근대 이후에 가졌던 기존의 세계관과 삶의 태도에 대한 반성과 아울러 새로운 삶의 방향성 모색을 위한 가치관의 전환 및 그에 따른 실천적 행동이 절실히 요구되는 시점이라고 할 것이다. 왜곡된 자본주의의 큰 흐름에 맞설 수 있는 ‘주체적 자아’의 회복이 우리에게 절실하게 요구되고 있는 것이다. 바로 이 지점에서 우리는 유학이 강조하는 주체 회복을 통한 도덕적 실천성에 다시금 주목되는 것이다. 모종삼은 유학을 생명철학이라고 규정하고, 도덕실천을 강조한다. 이러한 도덕실천은 깨어 있는 마음, 즉 우환의식에서 나오는 것이다. 이러한 도덕실천을 통하여 도달하는 지점은 바로 인격완성이다. 인간은 자발적 자율적 도덕실천을 통하여 비로소 인간의 존엄성을 확보할 수 있을 것이다. This study discusses the problem of the realization of ‘humanity’ through the restoration of human subjectivity based on Mouzongsan’s ideas about Confucianism. Currently, as science and technology-based industrial capital continue to pursue development and expansion, the value of human existence becomes to weaken therefore, it can be said that humans are continuously losing their direction of life. In this respect, we cannot help but pay attention to the problems of human status and role in modern society and the realization of humanity. As modern people are focusing only on satisfying their needs through infinite consumption amid the benefits of material civilization, Human environment are facing the reality of increasing the risk of the end of the Earth including humans as their satisfactions are gradually expanding. o improve and secure the global ecological environment, including humanity, it is time to reflect on the existing world view and attitude of life that humans have had since modern times, as well as to change values to find a new direction of life and thereby practical actions. The recovery of the ‘subjective self’ that can face the large trend of distorted capitalism is urgently required for us. At this point, we are again paying attention to the moral practicality through the restoration of the subject emphasized by Confucianism. Mouzongsan defines Confucianism as a life philosophy and emphasizes moral practice. This moral practice comes from the awake mind the consciousness of hardship(憂患意識). The point reached through such moral practice is the completion of personality. Humans will only be able to secure human dignity through voluntary, autonomous, and moral practice.
