        Aspergillus oryzae로 제조한 soybean koji 섭취가 40~60대 여성의 목 피부상태에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between soybean koji intake cultured with Aspergillus oryzae and the neck skin condition. Women from their 40s to 60s participated for 12 weeks from May to August 2018, the control group was to consume boiled bean powder, which is non-fermented soybean and the experimental group was to intake soybean, which is fermented soybean. As a result of this study, the moisture and sebum contents of the experimental group increased about 1.8 times and 2 times compared to the increase in the control group. In addition, the melanin index, erythema index and roughness decreased 6 times, 3.7 times and 3.6 times more than the reduction of the control group. Meanwhile, the control group showed significant differences in moisture, sebum contents, melanin index and erythema index, excluding roughness. It appears that the effective ingredients of the boiled soybeans themselves have shown efficacy. On the other hand, the experimental group showed significant differences in all five measurement items. In conclusion, soybean koji ingestion was effective in improving skin aging compared to non-fermented soybeans. Therefore, it is expected that soybean koji can be used as an inner beauty material through this study.

        Aspergillus oryzae로 제조한 Soybean koji 섭취가 40~60대 여성의 피부 미용에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between soybean koji prepared with Aspergillus oryzae and effects of skin care. For the 12 weeks from May to August 2018, 40~60s women participated in clinical trials. The control group consisted of nonfermented soybean and the experimental group was soybean koji, a fermented bean. And before and after soybean koji intake, the count of pores, depression, wrinkle, brightness, redness and yellowness of the facial skin were measured and compared. Research result, the pores, depression and wrinkle decreased in the experimental group 0.6 times (p<.01), 2.7 times (p<.001) and about 5.6 times (p<.001) more than the control group, respectively. On the other hand, the control group showed no significant difference in all three items. In addition, compared to the control group, the brightness of the experimental group increased 1.8 times (p<.001), the redness decreased about 1.3 times (p<.001) and the yellowness decreased about 2.6 times (p<.001). The experimental group showed a high improvement in depression (15.79%), wrinkle (12.79%), and the changes in brightness (5.07%), redness (10.04%) and yellowness (7.64%) were more alleviated compared to the control group. In conclusion, soybean koji was more effective in skin beauty such as depression, wrinkle and skin tone, compared to non-fermented soybean. Through the results of this study, confirmed the potential of soybean koji as a material for inner beauty. Finally, I expect this study will be used as basic data for nutrition and beauty.

        Background : Cervicovaginal cytology is a screening test of uterine cervical cancer. The sensitivity of cervicovaginal cytology is less than 50%, but studies of cytologic/histologic correlation are limited. We analyzed the diagnostic accuracy of cervicovaginal cytology in the detection of the squamous epithelial lesions of the uterine cervix and investigate the cause of diagnostic discordance. Materials and Methods : We collected a total of 481 sets of cervicovaginal cytology and biopsies over 5 years. The cytologic diagnoses were categorized based on The Bethesda System and the histologic diagnoses were classified as negative, flat condyloma, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) I, CIN II, CIN III, or squamous cell carcinoma. Cytohistologic discrepancies were reviewed. Results: The concordance rate between the cytological and the histological diagnosis was 79.0%. The sensitivity and specificity of cervicovaginal cytology were 80.6% and 92.6%, respectively. Its positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 93.7% and 77.7%, respectively. The false negative rate was 19.4%. Among 54 false negative cytology cases, they were confirmed by histology as 50 flat condylomas, 2 CIN I, 1 CIN III, and 1 squamous cell carcinoma. The causes of false negative cytology were sampling errors in 75.6% and interpretation errors in 24.4%. The false positive rate was 7.4%. Among 15 false positive cytology cases, they were confirmed by histology as 12 atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASCUS) and 3 low grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL). The cause of error was interpretation error in all cases. The overall diagnostic accuracy of cervicovaginal cytology was 85.7%. Conclusions : Cervicovaginal cytology shows high overall diagnostic accuracy and is a useful primary screen of uterine cervical cancer.

        NF-κB 조절을 통한 오매추출물의 항염효과 및 작용기작에 관한 연구

        NF-κB is a transcriptional factor which is involved in many biological processes including immunity, inflammation, and cell survival. Many investigators studied on the mechanism involved in activation of NF-κB signalling pathway via ubiquitination and degradation of IκB regarding skin disease. Some specific molecules including Akt, MEK, p38 MAP Kinase, Stat3, et al. represent convergence points and key regulatory proteins in signaling pathways controlling cellular events such as growth and differentiation, energy homeostasis, and the response to stress and inflammation. Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation has many adverse effects on skin, including inflammation, alteration in the extracellular matrix, cellular senescence, apoptosis and skin cancer. Prunus mume, a naturally derived plant extract, has beneficial biological activities as blood fluidity improvement, anti-fatigue action, antioxidative and free radical scavenging activities, inhibiting the motility of Helicobacter pyolri. Previous reports on various beneficial function prompted us to investigate UVB-induced or other immunostimulated biological marker regarding P. mume extract. P. mume extract suppresses UVB-induced cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression in mouse skin epidermal JB6 P+ cells. The activation of activator protein-1 and nuclear factor-κB induced by UVB was dose-dependently inhibited by P. mume extract treatment. This results suggest that P. mume extracts might be used as a potential agents for protection of inflammation or UVB induced skin damage.

        N,N,N-Trimethylphytosphingosine (TMP)의 염증성 피부질환 치료제 가능성에 관한 연구

        Skin disease is one of the most common diseases and its incidence is increasing dramatically in modern society. Specially, many attempts have been made to treat chronic skin inflammation diseases, such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, but effective therapies for the immune cell-mediated skin diseases, including psoriasis and atopic dermatitis have not been developed. Until recently, several drug candidates which were claimed to be effective for skin diseases have been reported, but most of them are not used to treat chronic skin disease. Especially, Psoriasis is characterized by excessive growth and aberrant differentiation of keratinocytes, but is fully reversible with appropriate therapy. The trigger of the keratinocyte response is thought to be activation of the cellular immune system, with T cells and various immune-related cytokines. Formation of new blood vessels starts with early psoriatic changes and disappears with disease clearance. Several angiogenic mediators are up-regulated in psoriasis development. Contact- and mediator-dependent factors derived from keratinocytes, mast cells and immune cells may contribute to the strong blood vessel formation of psoriasis. New technologies and experimental models provide new insights into the role of angiogenesis in psoriasis pathogenesis. TMP and its derivatives themselves effectively inhibited in vitro cell migration, tube formation, and the expression of angiogenic factors. However, TMP and its derivatives induced side effects including hemolysis and local side effects. Therefore, in an attempt to reduce the toxicity and the undesirable side effects of TMP and derivatives, a liposomal formulation was prepared and tested for its effectiveness. TMP and derivatives liposomes retained the effectiveness of TMP in vitro while side effects were reduced. These results support the conclusion that TMP effectively inhibits in vitro angiogenesis, with the possibility that use as a psoriasis relief agent.

        Neurilemmomas are benign nerve sheath tumors derived from Schwann cells that rarely occur in the chest wall. Neurilemmomas of the chest wall are usually solitary lesions that bulge toward the pleural cavity. Neurilemmomas are confirmed histologically based on the presence of Verocay bodies, Antoni A and Antoni B tissue patterns and S-100 protein. Bilateral neurilemmomas in the chest wall are extremely rare, as are those that grow in the subcutaneous tissue but not the pleural area. We report here a case of bilateral chest wall neurilemmomas in which the tumors bulged out to the skin and were palpable. (Tuberc Respir Dis 2008;65:318-322)

        독도 번행초에서 분리된 내생균류의 배양적 특성과 Aspergillus tubingensis YH103의 gibberellin A7의 생산

        독도에 자생하는 번행초의 뿌리로부터 순수 분리하여 형태적으로 상이한 17개의 내생균류를 선별하였다. 또한 분리된 균류들에 대하여 각각의 염농도와 pH 농도 구배에 따라 생장 시험을 확인하였다. 내생균류에 대해 각각 난장이벼의 유묘에 식물생장활성시험을 진행하였고, 그 결과 YH103 균주가 가장 높은 활성을 나타내었다. 계통분석은 Maximum likelihood 방법을 활용하여 결합된 ITS영역, beta-tubulin 및 calmodulin 유전자 염기서열을 분석하여 분리된 균주의 유연관계를 분석하였다. YH103 균주의 배양여과액을 HPLC와 GC/MS SIM을 이용하여 분석한 결과 식물호르몬인 지베렐린 $GA_4$, $GA_7$, $GA_8$ 및 $GA_{19}$가 확인되었다. 최종적으로 YH103 균주의 형태학적 관찰 및 결합된 유전자 염기서열의 분자적 분석을 통해 GA를 생산하는 새로운 Aspergillus tubingensis로 동정되었다. Coastal plant species Tetragonia tetragonoides (Pall.) Kuntze native to the Dokdo islands was sampled and then 17 endophytic fungi were purely isolated based on morphological differences. The fungal isolates were characterized by their growth properties under NaCl concentration or pH gradient. Culture filtrates of the 17 fungal isolates were treated to Waito-c rice (WR) seedlings for verifying plant growth-promoting activity. As the results, YH103 strain showed the highest plant growth-promoting activity among them. Phylogenetic analysis of the isolates was done by the maximum likelihood method based on partial internal transcribed spacer region (ITS region: contaning ITS1, 5.8S, and ITS2), beta-tubulin (BenA), and calmodulin (CaM) gene sequences. Chromatographic analysis of the strain YH103 culture filtrate showed the existence of gibberellins ($GA_4$, $GA_7$, $GA_8$, and $GA_{19}$). Finally, the strain YH103 was identified as Aspergillus tubingensis by microscopic observation and molecular analysis and, to our knowledge, this is the first report of GAs producing A. tubingensis.

        초음파 검사는 연부조직 종물 평가를 위해서 일차적으로 시행할 수 있는 효과적인 검사로 알려져 있다. 저자들은 좌측원위 대퇴부에 통증을 동반한 표재성 연부조직 종물로 내원한 환자의 초음파 검사에서 양성 종양으로 판단되었으나 수술 후 조직검사에서 활막육종으로 진단된 증례를 경험하여 문헌고찰과 함께 이를 보고하고자 한다. Ultrasonography is an effective first-line examination for soft-tissue masses. We reported a case who presented with superficial soft-tissue mass on the left distal thigh accompanying by pain. On ultrasonography, the lesion was determined as a benign mass. The patient, however, was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma based on the histopathologic result. Herein, we reported the case and reviewed of relevant literature.
