Vol.2015 No.11
This paper introduces damage tolerance test evaluation for supersonic trainer engine mount structure which classified as F&FC (Fatigue and Fracture Critical) parts. The main objective of the test was to validate damage tolerance capability of engine mount structure for two service lifetimes with material changing from FMS-1111 to AMS-5629. Other objectives were to determine test-analysis correlation parameters by matching actual crack growth scenario to the analysis results. As two service lifetimes damage tolerance test and subsequent residual strength test were successfully performed, it was concluded that this material change could be a cost-effective and damage tolerant option for supersonic trainer engine mount structure.

ZONAIR is the off-the-shelf engineering software that generate aerodynamic for design 6 d.o.f simulation and flight load for structure design based on high-order panel methodology. It analyzes flexible flight load with finite element model. In this paper, investigate the possibility of the ZONAIR application by comparing FA-50 flight test load result with ZONAIR flight loads analysis result.

Export basic trainer was designed to add armed configuration required by customer. Design configuration of main wing was changed to satisfy changed internal load caused by armed configuration. It was verified that design changed main wing airframe of export basic trainer satisfy the requirement through the structural detail analysis, structural ground test and flight test. This paper presents the durability test procensure and test result for the main wing of export basic trainer.
Vol.2012 No.11
시험은 항공기 무게의 2.0g(제한 하중, DLL)와 3.0g(극한 하중, DUL) 관성 하중을 성공적으로 가하였다. The purpose of the KC-100 turnover sub-component static test is to prove that the protection for occupants in turnover condition and to show that the door must be reasonably free from jamming as a result of fuselage deformation in an emergency landing. The test was successfully loaded to DLL(Design Limit Load, 2.0g), and DUL(Design Ultimate Load, 3.0g). And door jamming checks were performed after completion of DLL and DUL test. In the inspection result after DUL test, there was no door jamming resulting from application of test loads. The cabin door locking system was not detected detrimental deformation and failure with a general visual inspection. The test was loaded up to ultimate load of upward ultimate inertia load factor of 3.0g without considering a coefficient of friction with the ground of 0.5. However, the finite element model for KC-100 fuselage structure was tuned up by a result of DLL and DUL test. The correlation factor (1.15) was obtained by the comparison of the test and analysis result. Therefore, the tuned FE Model and the correlation factor (1.15) were used to prove that the airframe is sustained a living space for pilot/passenger at the DUL considered the effect of friction. The living space of the pilot and passenger were evaluated by the decrement of the height/width at the location corresponding to the deflection gages at DUL including correlation factor (1.15), effect of friction (friction coefficient 0.5). Those have to be less than the acceptable for deflection. Therefore, the airframe is able to sustain a living space for occupants in the turnover condition.
