The purpose of this project was to study the effect of growth hormone on early bony consolidation in distraction osteogenesis of a dog mandible. Sixteen dogs were used for this study. An external distraction device was applied to the mandibular body and the mandibular distraction was started five days after the operation at a rate of 1 mm per day up to a 10-mm distraction. Dogs in the growth hormone group received a daily subcutaneous injection of 1 IU of recombinant human growth hormone per kilogram of body weight per week. Normal saline was injected in the control group. Bone mineral density was higher in the growth hormone group than the control group in the whole period. Bone mechanical strength was 300% higher in the growth hormone group than that in the control group. However, results were more suggestive than conclusive. Upon histological examination, the formation of a substantial amount of active woven bone was observed throughout the distracted zone in 6 weeks in the growth hormone group. In the control group, new bone was generated from the edge to the center of the distracted zone. But, the most central area of the distracted zone was filled with fibrous tissue in 6 weeks. In conclusion, growth hormone appears to be effective in early bony consolidation in distraction osteogenesis.
시스템다이내믹스를 이용한 낚시어선의 단속과 처벌에 따른 동태적 매커니즘 분석

In this paper, system dynamics considering dynamics and time was examined to study the changes in system structure according to reinforcement (policy intervention) of regulation and punishment for fishing boats, and the strategizing directions were analyzed . Until now, regulations and punishments on fishing boats have been conducted temporarily and short-term as a precautionary measure to prevent accidents and imposed penalties. However, due to various anomalous side effects, the expected results were not achieved, negligent accidents occurred constantly, and follow-up measures were repeated. Resultantly, the regulation and punishment of fishing boats is a reinforced safety standard, and there is a necessity to improve facilities, equipment, and industry, and develop technology (including time delay) to prevent accidents. However, as the negative (illegal) activities continue without immediate and significant resistance, the safety blind spot for accident prevention cannot be minimized. Thus, policy intervention based on linear thinking without sufficiently considering variables of the dynamic mechanism and time can distort the basic values pursued by the policy. For the regulation and punishment of fishing boats, a strategy to supplement the mechanism should be prepared prior to the preparation of reinforced safety standards. Improvement and development of related technologies, mandatory training hours for anglers, fishing industry, and related organizations, proposal of specific action plan for Fishing Management and Promotion Act for growing fishing-related industries. 본 연구에서는 동태성과 시간을 고려한 시스템다이내믹스 관점에서 낚시어선의 낚시활동에 있어서 단속 및 처벌의 강화(정책개입)에 따라 시스템 구조가 어떻게 변화하는지 알아보고 그에 따른 전략수립 방향을 논의하고자 한다. 지금까지 낚시어선의 단속과 처벌은 사고예방이라는 사전적 차원에서 일시적단기적으로 단속을 실시하고 처벌을 부과했다. 그러나 변칙적이고 다양한 부작용으로 소기의 성과를 거두지 못하였고, 안전사고는 끊임없이 발생하고 또 다시 후속조치가 뒤따라가는 형국을 보이고 있다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, 낚시어선의 단속과 처벌이 강화된 안전기준으로 사고 예방을 위한 시설장비산업 등 관련 사항 개선 및 기술개발(시간지연 발생)보다는 즉각적이고 큰 저항이 없는 음성적(불법적) 활동을 지속함에 따라 사고예방을 위한 안전사각지대를 최소화하지 못하고 있다. 이와같이 동태적 매커니즘과 시간이라는 변수를 충분히 고려하지 않고 단선적 사고에 입각한 정책개입으로는 정책이 추구하는 기본적 가치를 오히려 왜곡시킬 수 있다. 낚시어선의 단속과 처벌에 있어서 강화된 안전기준의 마련에 앞서 관련 기술의 개선 및 개발, 낚시인낚시산업체관련기관 등 다양한 주체들에 대한 교육시간 의무화, 낚시관련 산업 육성을 위한 낚시 관리 및 육성법의 구체적인 방안 제시와 같은 매커니즘을 보완하는 전략을 마련해야 한다.

The automobile industry has recently produced vehicle bodies using advanced high strength steel with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and developing green products. Among various processes for body manufacturing, hot stamping has been gained a remarkable consideration. In this study boron sheet steel with the initial tensile strength of 600 MPa and 22% elongation was used. The sheets were heated at 950oC for 5 min before die quenching through hot stamp forming process. After hot stamping, the tensile strength of the boron sheet steel improved and reached 1.5 GPa while the elongation markedly deceased to 7%. A very low elongation value, is not favourable in safety of automobiles since it deteriorates the shock absorption capacity upon a car accident. In order to overcome this problem, it is suggested to weld boron sheet steel with different thicknesses and make an assembly of sheets. This assembly acts as a buttress in which the lower sheet absorbs shocks. Furthermore, Al-Si coating layer has a deleterious effect on the mechanical properties of weld joints. Thus the effect of laser ablation of the coating has been thoroughly studied and discussed.
시스템 다이내믹스를 이용한 해양오염관리 패러다임 변화 분석

이 논문은 현재 해양오염관리의 패러다임을 분석하고 시스템 과학화에도 불구하고 드러난 초동대응 실패, 대응체계혼선, 피해 최소화 실패 등 문제점과 이를 통한 변화의 전조와 인과관계를 동시에 고려할 수 있도록 인과지도(Causal Map)를 작성하여 변화를 분석했다. 현재 패러다임의 지배적 피드백 루프(Dominant Feedback Loop)를 파악하고 이를 통해 유출원을 신속하게 봉쇄할 수 있는 장비 개발과 더불어 피해자로만 인정하는 지역주민에 대하여 방제활동 및 전략수립을 결정하는 자원으로 전환시킬 수 있도록 프로그램 개발과 더불어 지원, 협조되는 기관의 증가에도 현장에서 신속하게 판단할 수 있는 체계로 개선되어야 한다.
Three-Dimensional Contact Dynamic Model of the Human Knee Joint During Walking

It is well known that the geometry of the articular surface has a major role in determining the position of articular contact and the lines of action for the contact forces. The contact force calculation for the knee joint considering the effect of sliding and rolling is one of the most challenging issues in this field.We present a 3-D human knee joint model considering sliding and rolling motion and major ligaments to calculate the lateral and medial condyle contact forces from the recovered total internal reaction force using inverse dynamic contact modeling and the Least-square method. Following the results it is believed that the patella, muscles and tendon affect a lot for the internal reaction forces at the initial heel contact stage. With increasing flexion angles during gait, the contact area decreases and is progressive shifted in the posterior direction on the tibia plateau. In addition, the medial side contact force is larger than that of the lateral side contact force in the knee joint during normal human walking. The total internal force results of the knee joint are reasonably agreed well compared to previous studies.
