      • Fenvalerate가 참붕어(Pseudorasbora parva)의 아가미에 미치는 영향

        The effects of fenvalerate on the gill of the false dace(Pseudorasbora parva) were investigated by light microscope. In the fenvalerate non-treated group and the ethanol treated group, histological changes were not observed. But, the gill in the 5㎍/ℓfenvalerate treated group showed swelling in terminal part and hyperplasia in basal part of the gill lamella. In gill lamellae in the 10㎍/ℓ fenvalerate treated group, swelling in terminal part, hyperplasia in terminal and basal part and curling were observed. In the 15㎍/ℓ fenvalerate treated group, the gill lamella showed swelling in terminal part and hyperplasia in terminal and basal part. Also curling and fusion of gill lamellae were found. It was considered that these abnormal structures of the gills of Pseudorasbora parva were affected by fenvalerate.

      • Angelfish(Pterophyllum eimekei)의 부화에 미치는 온도, 수소이온농도 및 염도의 영향

        Effects of temperature(15℃, 20℃, 25℃ and 30℃), pH value(pH 5.2, pH 6.0, pH 6.8 and pH 7.6) and salinity(0‰, 12‰, 24‰ and 36‰) on the hatching of angelfish(Pterophyllum eimekei) were investigated. The fertilized egg of angelfish was adhesive and demersal. Also, the elapsed time of hatching was 53.5 hours and the hatching rate was very high in freshwater at 30℃. The lower the water temperature was, the longer the hatching elapsed time was. At 15℃, the mortality was very high and the hatching process was highly inhibited. The hatching rate was very high in freshwater at pH 6.8 and the effect of pH was not higher than that of salinity. In salinity more than 12‰, the hatching process stopped and all embryos died out. The optimal water temperature for hatching of angelfish in freshwater was at 30℃ and the optimal pH for that was 6.8.

        PRIDE 3D Simulator for Virtual Verification of Remote Handling Procedures in Processing Cell

        The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) constructed the PyRoprocessing Integrated inactive Demonstration facility (PRIDE) to carry out experiments on engineering scale pyroprocessing. PRIDE has a large processing cell that human workers are not allowed to access, and thus the equipment inside is operated from outside using remote handling systems. It is therefore essential to examine the operability and maintainability of the equipment in view of remote handling systems, and the equipment is thoroughly examined in a mockup cell before it is installed in the processing cell. If the equipment is tested in a virtual mockup rather than in a mockup cell, the development cost can be significantly reduced. The PRIDE 3D simulator was integrated for virtual verification of equipment that will be installed in the processing cell. All remote handling devices in the actual PRIDE were also virtually installed in the PRIDE 3D simulator. The 3D model of the equipment was loaded and located in the exact position in the virtual processing cell. A scenario to replace an actual electrode was implemented in the PRIDE 3D simulator. The design of the equipment and the working procedures in the scenario were successfully evaluated. The results demonstrated that the PRIDE 3D simulator can be used successfully as an alternative to actual mockup testing.

        The reproductive cells in testis of Coreoleuciscus splendidus were investigated using light microscopes. In non maturation period, primary spermatocytes were located on the wall of testicular cysts. Secondary spermatocytes were distributed between the lumen and the wall of testicular cysts in early maturation period. In later maturation period, spermatids with flagellum and residual body and sperms were distributed in lumen of testicular cysts. The sperm had a round head and the acrosome was absent.

      • 동사리과 동사리(Odontobutis platycephala) 심실 및 동맥구의 조직학적 구조

        The structure of the ventricle and the bulbus arteriosus in the heart of Odontobutis platycephala was investigated by light microscope. The heart consisted of four consecutive chambers, the sinus venosus, atrium, ventricle and bulbus arteriosus. The ventricle was sac-like and the trabecular network was formed with lumina included a central lumen. The wall of the ventricle was divided into endocardium, myocardium, subepicardium and epicardium. The ventricular myocardium was an entirely spongy with coronary vessels in subepicardium. The collagen distribution was apparent in the subepicardium. In the bulbus arteriosus, the wall was divided into endocardium, subendocardium, middle layer, subepicardium and epicardium. Collagens were demonstrated in the middle layer and subepicardium. Elastins were observed in the middle layer.

        The spermatogenesis of common freshwater goby(Rhinogobius brunneus) was investigated. The testis of common freshwater goby consisted of numerous testicular sacs contained synchronized cells. Leydig cells were located among testicular sacs. In primary spematocytes, nuclei were round and mitochondria were distributed in the cytoplasm. The nucleus of secondary spermatocyte was oval and mitochondria were congregated in the side of cytoplasm. The spermatid had oval and electron dense nucleus, mitochondria in the cytoplasm were disappeared and a base of flagellum was appeared. The sperm had a elongated conical head, the acrosome was not found and a motile flagellum consisted of an axoneme with a typical 9+2 pattern of microtubule.

        The histological structure of the heart in Rhynchocypris oxycephalus was investigated by light microscope. The heart consisted of four consecutive chambers, the sinus venosus, atrium, ventricle and bulbus arteriosus. The wall of the sinus venosus was divided into endocardium, myocardium and epicardium, and the walls of the atrium and ventricle were divided into endocardium, subendocardium, myocardium, subepicardium and epicardium, and the wall of the bulbus arteriosus was divided into endocardium, subendocardium(ridge tissue), middle layer, subepicardium and epicardium. Valves were observed in the sinoatrial, artrioventricular and bulboventricular junctions. The sinus venosus wall was mostly made up of collagen. The rings of tissue were observed at the sinoatrial junction. The atrium was composed of a spongy trabeculate myocardium surrounded by an external rim of thin myocardium, and collagens were distributed in the subepicardium and trabeculae. The ventricular myocardium was an entirely spongy myocardium with vessels in subepicardium. In the subepicardium and trabeculae of the ventricle, collagens were distributed. Collagens and elastins were demonstrated in the bulbus arteriosus, but elastins were excepted in the subepicardium.

        The reproductive cells in ovary of Korean striped bitterling(Acheilognathus yamatsutae) were investigated. In ovary of Korean striped bitterling, various reproductive cells were distributed. Oogonia were round and the cytoplasm of oogonia was acidic. In primary oocytes, yolk vesicles were distributed in marginal area of cytoplasm and many nucleoli were located at inner side of nuclear membrane. Secondary oocytes were oval and yolk vesicles were increased than those of primary oocytes. In mature eggs, yolk vesicles were changed to yolk mass and the development of follicle cell layer at outer surface of the egg envelope was distinguished.

        The spermatogenesis of goby minnow(Pseudogobio esocinus) was investigated using transmission electron microscope. In primary spermatocytes, nuclei were round or oval and mitochondria were distributed in the cytoplasm. Secondary spermatocytes had round electron-dense nuclei and mitochondria were congregated in the side of cytoplasm. The sperm had a round head, the acrosome was not found and a motile flagellum consisted of an axoneme with a typical 9+2 pattern of microtubule.
