The Carbon nanotubes has good mechanical, electronic, thermal properties, however it is difficult to add in metal matrix because of van der waals force. In this study, we study dispersion method using the electroless plating. Therefore, the particles size and created quantity of Nickel for 15min, 30min and 60min were measured with the plating solution, which is constantly mixed with nickel culfate and sodium hypophosphite. the plated powders were observed on surface and analyzed at component by FESEM and TEM

Corrosion of steel plate is common phenomenon which results in the gradual destruction caused by a wide variety of environments. Corrosion monitoring is the tracking of the degradation progress for a long period of time. Corrosion on steel plate appears as a discoloration and any irregularities on the surface. In this study, we developed a quantitative evaluation method of the rust formed on steel plate by using k-means clustering from the corroded area in a given image. The k-means clustering for automated corrosion detection was based on the GrabCut segmentation and Gaussian mixture model(GMM). Image color of the corroded surface at cut-edge area was analyzed quantitatively based on HSV(Hue, Saturation, Value) color space.

Ti-Nb-Zr thim films were deposited by a DC magnetron sputtering system. Space holder (NH4HCO3) is used in the sintering method to control the porous structure in bulk. However, we show that the porous structure is also dependent on alloy composition in this work. The results from Young’s modulus tests confirm that these alloys obey d-electrons alloy theory. However, the Young’s modulus of ternary thin films (≈80-95GPa) is lower than that for binary alloys(≈108-123GPa). The depth recovery ratio of ternary Ti-Nb-Zr thin films is also higher than that for binary β-Ti- (25.9-34.2)Nb thin film alloys.
