죄의식 앞에서의 채무 정산과 소설 쓰기 : 이승우의 ‘소설가 소설’을 중심으로

이승우의 작품세계를 관류하는 주제 가운데 하나는 소설쓰기 그 자체이다. 그는 소설가를 다루는 여러 형태의 작품을 꾸준히 발표해왔는데, 이러한 소설적 자의식은 죄의식이나 근본 선의 문제라는 작가적 관심사의 원형과 따로 떼어 이해할 수 없다. 이승우 소설은 일방적인 존재증명의 요구에 대한 대응으로서 쓰인 것이라는 점에서 부당한 거래를 내포하는 한편, 이러한 상황을 소설 내적으로 해소하기 위한 상징화라는 점에서 부당한 거래와 작가의식 사이의 길항을 첨예하게 보여준다. 본고는 ‘교환’이라는 모티프를 통해 이승우의 소설가 소설에 대한 주제적 독해를 제시한다. 대상 작품들의 문제상황은 말하기와 듣기라는 의사소통 상황과의 유비 속에서 제시되며, 궁극적으로 ‘죄 앞에서 이야기를 지어내는 소설가’의 여러 양태의 이본으로 독해될 수 있음을 확인하게 된다. 이승우의 소설은 이처럼 소설 속 인물의 채무와 소설가의 채무가 일종의 미장아빔을 이루면서 부조리를 상징화한다. 결국 이승우의 소설가 소설을 ‘교환’을 매개로 그 형식과 내용을 통일적으로 해석할 때, 실패 속에서의 성공이라는 독특한 국면을 식별하게 된다. One of the crucial theme that covers the world of Seung-Woo Lee’s oeuvre is writing a fiction itself. He has steadily published various types of works dealing with novelists, and we could scarcely separate authorship from the fundamental guilty-consciousness. Seungwoo Lee’s fiction implies an unfair transaction which itself contains, namely it means that Lee’s fiction is a response to the unilateral request for the proof of existence, while sharply showing the antagonism between the writer’s consciousness about the unfair transaction in that it is symbolized to resolve this situation within the work. This paper draws on thematic reading of Seung-woo Lee’s novelist-novel, viewing from “exchange”, or narrative transaction. The main situation of the fiction has an analogy to the communicative situation like speaking and listening. Consequently, we can address these works are the other versions of Lee’s literary consciousness, that is guilty-consciousness. Lee Seung-woo’s novel symbolizes this irrationality in a form of Mise en abyme which mutually disposes the debt of the character in the novel and the debt of the novelist. Consequently when Lee Seung-woo’s novelist novel is interpreted in a unified way through the frame of ‘exchange’, the unique aspect of success lies latent in failure is discerned.

This paper develops a wireless sensor network (WSN)-based real-time turbidity monitoring system for a floating fish cage. Turbidity is the degree to which the optical clarity of water is affected by impurities. The developed system adapts the FreeRTOS operating system to guarantee real-time monitoring under a WSN environment. The sensor node has three turbidity sensors, which are deployed underwater to collect location-based data. We propose a protocol for WSN on the fixed floating fish cage to easily implement the monitoring system and we use a Kalman filter to eliminate sensor noise. The measurement results are presented to demonstrate the monitoring system’s usefulness.

A numerical analysis of the diesel engine performance and pollutant emissions was conducted by 0D simulation based on the CMC combustion model for turbulent diffusion flames. For the combustion analysis, the CMC model, the skeletal mechanism for n-heptane and the NOx mechanism included in GRI 3.0 were used. The evaporation process of fuel was simulated using the multizone spray model, and the density weighted PDF for the mixture fraction was calculated in real time based on the momentum conservation principle with the empirical models for spray tip velocity. The analysis was conducted by applying a multiple flame structure to the operating conditions of the multi-stage fuel injection method, and the predicted results well matched to the experimental data for the pressure variations. It also shows good qualitative and quantitative results for NOx.

This study proposes an analytical stability region for a first-order time delay system using the Lambert W function and a geometric method. Delay-dependent and -independent stability regions were obtained by defining two functions, such that the characteristic equation is the difference of these functions. The desired rightmost real eigenvalue was assigned. Moreover, the corresponding system parameters were determined. Oscillation or unstable systems can be exponentially stabilized by static state feedback, in which the feedback gain sets are analytically determined using the results of the stability region. The effectiveness of the proposed approach was demonstrated through numerical examples.
