Frequency Hopping을 위한 주파수 합성기에 관한 연구

We studied Spread Spectrum Communication System as the technique which solves the problems - the deterioration of transmission quality from the exhausiton of the limited frequency resources, the weakness of security maintenance caused by propagation property, and the jamming from self or intentional wave interferences, etc. In this paper, we desisted the frequency synthesizer for frequency hopping in FH/SS method, making message hop to wider bandwidth than the conventional PLL adoping frequency hopping pattern which is multiplied 1111 by PN code. Consequently, we obtained the bandwidth of 160 KHz ~ 2.28 MHz by making use of system desisted in this paper.

집적광학에서 가장 기본적이고 필수적인 소자인 구형 유전체도파로는 근사적인 해석방법에서부터 수치계산방법까지 여러가지 방법으로 연구되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 구형 유전체도파로의 해석을 위해 섭동궤환방법을 이용하여 최적등가도파로모델을 선택하고, 시뮬레이션을 통한 비교, 분석 결과, 섭동궤환방법을 이용해서 구한 전파상수가 다른 방법에 의해 얻어진 결과보다 더욱 정확한 값에 일치함으로써 최적의 근사치를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. Rectangular dielectric waveguides, the most fundamental and indispensible elements in integrated optics, have been investigated by many researchers with various approaching methods including from the relatively approximate techniques to the numerical method. In this paper, the optimum equivalent waveguide model is adopted which is determined by a perturbation feedback process for analyzing rectangular dielectric waveguide. Comparing and analyzing the propagation constant by means of computer simulation, we have ascertained that the propagation constant from perturbation feedback method gives the best approximate value because it coincide with more exact value than obtained by other approximating methods.
Optical Fiber-Waveguide 접속기에 관한 연구

단일 모드 광섬유로부터 박막 도파로까지의 효율적인 광전력 전송은 앞으로 직접광학 시스템의 실현을 위해 해결해야 될 가장 기본적이며 필수적인 과제이다. 본 연구에서는 uniform 형태를 갖는 광섬유-도파로 접속기중 결합도파로-1을 박막 도파로 상단에 성장시킨 구조로 하여 광섬유-도파로 접속기의 접촉면에서의 필드 특성의 불일치를 해소하였고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 구체적인 접속기 구조에 대한 전송효율이 90.2%에 달함을 보였다. Efficient power transmission from a single mode fiber to a thin-film waveguide is one of the most fundamental and inevitable subject that should be first solved toward the realization of the integrated optic system. In this paper, a uniform type fiber-waveguide connector is considered and the large mismathc of field profiles at the fiber-waveguide interface is well avoided by using to the coupling guide which is intentionally developed on the top of the thin-film guide. 90.2% power transmission efficiency was realized by computer simulation.

단일모드 광섬유와 박막도파로 소자들 사이의 효율적인 광전송은 집적광학 시스템의 실현을 위해서 가장 기본적으로 풀어야 하는 필수적인 과제중의 하나인데, 이 때 광섬유와 도파로를 직접 접속시키는 방법은 접속면에서의 필드분포의 불일치로 인해 많은 양의 광전력이 반사되고 발산이 예상된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 박막도파로와 광섬유의 접속시 경계면에서의 필드분포의 불일치를 피하기위해 uniform 형과 taper 형의 결합 구조를 박막도파로위에 성장시켜 접속시키는 구조를 제안하고 해석하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 이들 구조가 광섬유로부터 결합도파로 안으로 광파가 전송되면 이후에 박막도파로로 효율적으로 광결합이 일어남을 보였고, 특히 taper 형태의 결합구조가 uniform 형태의 결합구조보다 결합효율 및 소자 제조측면에서 휠씬 더 바람직한 구조임이 증명되었다. 비균등 마이크로스트립 배열 안테나의 복사 특성에 관한 연구

In this paper, a rectangular microstrip patch array antenna fed by a microstrip transmission line has been designed and fabricated by using Tschebyscheff's polynomial method. The relative current of the microstrip transmission line is 1:2:2: 1. Its resonant frequency and radiation pattern are measured. The measured resonant frequency for 12.1mm×9.19mm copper clad duroid laminate plate is 9.7 GHz, where the theoretical frequency is 9.6 GHz for 12.1mm×9.19mm plate. The 0.1 GHz difference between the theoretical value and the measured value is due to the power division errors of the power divider. The study shows that the measured radiation Pattern of 4×4 array antennaby the Tschebyscheff's array is sharper than single. 1×4 array and 4×4uniform microstrip patch array antennas.
FD-BPM에 ADI 알고리즘을 적용한 원형으로 굽은 광도파로에 관한 연구

The three-dimensional (3-0) semi-vectorial wave propagation equation is programmed in the quick and unconditionalIy stable procedure by using the alternating-direction implicit method. This version of FD-BPM could well express the polarization characteristics of modal field near the dielectric interfaces and accurately simulate the wave propagation in bent waveguides even at a very small radius (<100 ㎛), The mode-mismatch loss intensively depends on the propagation step length Δs and the curved radius R of the bent waveguide. For the straight waveguide, the mode-mismatch loss increases linearly as the step length Δs but for the bent waveguide, the mode-mismatch loss is nonlinearly related to the step length Δs, and the nonlinearity is more obvious for the case of smaller radius. In the sampling conditions of Δx,△y, and △s the mode-mismatch loss increases rapidly as the curved radius of bent waveguide becomes small.
스펙트럼 분할 WDM시스템에서 수신감도 해석에 관한 연구

The Conventional WDM(Wavelength-Division-Multiplexing) systems employ laser diodes operating at discrete wavelengths as carriers for the different data channels that are to be multiplexed. In this study, we investigates the design and performance issues of a recently demonstrated technique, termed as spectrum-slicing, for implementing WDM in optical fiber systems. Spectrumslicing provides an attractive low-cost alternative to the use of multiple coherent lasers for such WDM applications by utilizing spectral slices of a broadband noise source for the different data channels. The principal broadband noise source considered is the amplified spontaneous emission(ASE) noise from an optical amplifier. The spectra effect on receiver sensitivity is investigated for both OOK and FSK transmission, assuming the system (de)multiplexer filters to be N th order Butterworth bandpass. As a result, the theoretical receiver sensitivity for OOK transmission and FSK transmission for 20m=20 are 1.9 ×10 2??and 1.9 ×??10 2, respectively.
