        읽기 교육내용의 비판과 실천적 재구성

        This study aims to examine how current educational content should be transformed to enable readers to demonstrate their capabilities as practical knowledge. To this end, we examined our reading education in contrast to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in the United States. The results showed that reading curriculum is biased toward the reading function, and it is necessary to revise the educational content that was seemingly selected without evidence and focus on key functions. Furthermore, when selecting functions, it is necessary to enhance the system and affiliation between categories, as well as to increase the specificity, practicality and consistency of functional statements, by presenting them as principles of iterative deepening when arranging them. Accordingly, we proposed a content system table centered on “function” and “genre, text, attitude, and context” as categories of different layers. And decoding, reading fluency, changes of high school ‘reading’ subjects are required to enhance practicality of reading education, This is expected to increase the practicality of reading education as practical knowledge.

        Hot Wall Epitaxy(HWE)법에 의한 MgGa<sub>2</sub>Se<sub>4</sub> 단결정 박막 성장과 가전자대 갈라짐에 대한 광전류 연구

        수평 전기로에서 $MgGa_2Se_4$ 다결정을 합성하여 HWE(Hot Wall Epitaxy)방법으로 $MgGa_2Se_4$ 단결정 박막을 반절연성 GaAs(100)기판에 성장시켰다. $MgGa_2Se_4$단결정 박막의 성장 조건은 증발원의 온도 $610^{\circ}C$, 기판의 온도 $400^{\circ}C$였고 성장 속도는 $0.5{\mu}m/hr$였다. 이때 이중결정 X-선 요동곡선(DCRC)의 반폭치(FWHM)도 212 arcsec로 가장 작아 최적 성장 조건임을 알 수 있었다. $MgGa_2Se_4$/SI(Semi-Insulated) GaAs(100) 단결정 박막의 광흡수와 광전류 spectra를 293 K에서 10 K까지 측정하였다. 광흡수 스펙트럼으로부터 band gap Eg(T)는 varshni공식에 따라 계산한 결과 $E_g(T)=2.34 eV-(8.81{\times}10^{-4}eV/K)T^2/(T+251K)$이었으며 광전류 스펙트럼으로부터 Hamilton matrix(Hopfield quasicubic mode)법으로 계산한 결과 crystal field splitting energy ${\Delta}cr$값이 190.6 meV이며 spin-orbit energy ${\Delta}so$값은 118.8 meV임을 확인하였다. 10 K일 때 광전류 봉우리들은 n = 1, 27일때 $A_{1^-}$, $B_{1^-}$와 $C_{27}-exciton$ 봉우리임을 알았다. A stoichiometric mixture of evaporating materials for $MgGa_2Se_4$ single crystal thin films was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. To obtain the single crystal thin films, $MgGa_2Se_4$ mixed crystal was deposited on thoroughly etched semi-insulating GaAs(100) substrate by the Hot Wall Epitaxy (HWE) system. The source and substrate temperatures were $610^{\circ}C$ and $400^{\circ}C$, respectively. The crystalline structure of the single crystal thin films was investigated by double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD). The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $MgGa_2Se_4$ obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $E_g(T)=2.34 eV-(8.81{\times}10^{-4}eV/K)T^2/(T+251K)$. The crystal field and the spin-orbit splitting energies for the valence band of the $MgGa_2Se_4$ have been estimated to be 190.6 meV and 118.8 meV, respectively, by means of the photocurrent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model. These results indicate that the splitting of the ${\Delta}so$ definitely exists in the ${\Gamma}_5$ states of the valence band of the $MgGa_2Se_4$/GaAs epilayer. The three photocurrent peaks observed at 10 K are ascribed to the $A_{1^-}$, $B_{1^-}$exciton for n = 1 and $C_{27}-exciton$ peaks for n = 27.

        비대면 교양 영어 수업에서의 패들렛(Padlet) 학습 활용과 학습자 인식 연구

        The aim of this study is to present learning activities using Padlet to facilitate communication and exchange of opinions among learners in large-scale, remote liberal arts classes, and to examine learners perceptions of and responses to the use of Padlet as a learning tool. Communication and opinion-sharing activities need to be managed efficiently to minimize the difference in quantity and quality of such activities in remote classes compared to face-to-face. Padlet was actively used for learning activities by 104 college students enrolled in this liberal arts course. In order to broaden the scope of understanding of the content, individual opinions, thoughts, and results of group assignments were uploaded to Padlet. Open-ended questionnaires and interviews were completed to analyze learners’ responses to the use of Padlet in a liberal arts class. As a result, it was found that learners had relatively high satisfaction with the use of Padlet in class activities. Specific reasons for satisfaction with using Padlet were found to be “ease of use”, “interactive sharing”, “fun and interest”, and “convenience”. In the remote educational era, instructors need to actively use tools such as Padlet for communication and sharing and focus on the development and optimal use of these tools.

        적하수오 에탄올 추출물의 melanin 합성 촉진효과

        모발의 색은 melanin의 종류와 양에 의해 결정 된다. Melanocyte는 주로 자외선 자극에 의하여 L-tyrosine으로부터 멜라닌을 합성한다. 활성산소종은 백발의 진행과정에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 적하수오는 백발화되는 노화과정을 억제한다고 보고되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 흑모발생과 연관된 melanin 합성에 대한 적하수오 에탄올 추출물(PMEE)의 효능을 조사한 것이다. 항산화 실험에서 PMEE는 DPPH radical을 감소시켰고 환원력을 증가시켜 PMEE는 백발과정에 관여하는 활성산소종을 소거할 수 있다고 볼 수 있다. PMEE는 농도 의존적으로 세포생존능을 감소시켰다. 더욱이 melanin의 생성에 대한 PMEE의 효과는 DOPA assay와 tyrosinase 활성측정에 의하여 결정되었다. PMEE는 tyrosinase 활성을 증가시켰으며 melanin 합성을 촉진시켰다. 뿐만 아니라 Western blot 분석을 이용하여 tyrosinase, TRP-1, TRP-2 및 MITF 뿐만 아니라 SOD-3와 catalase와 같은 항산화 효소의 단백질 발현을 조사하였다. PMEE의 항산화 활성의 증가로 인하여 SOD-3와 catalase의 발현 수준은 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 특히, PMEE는 tyrosinase와 TRP-2의 발현 수준은 증가시켰다. 이러한 결과들은 PMEE가 백발화 된 모발에서 흑발로 변하는 것과 관련된 melanin 합성을 촉진할 수 있다는 것을 암시하고 있다. Hair color is determined by kind and amount of melanin. Melanocyte mainly synthesizes melanin from L-tyrosine by stimulation of ultra violet. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) play an important role in greying hair. Polygonum multiflorum radix has been reported to inhibit the aging process that black color of hair is turned into grey color. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Polygoni multiflorium radix ethanol extract (PMEE) on melanin synthesis related to black hair growth. In antioxidant experiment, PMEE decreased DPPH radical and increased reducing power, indicating that PMEE could eliminate ROS involved in greying hair. PMEE decreased cell viability in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, the effect of PMEE on the production of melanin was determined by DOPA assay and tyrosinase activity. PMEE increased tyrosinase activity and promoted melanin synthesis. In addition, the expression levels of tyrosinase, tyrosinase related protein-1 (TRP-1), tyrosinase related protein-2 (TRP-2) and microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF), as well as anti-oxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD-3) and catalase were examined using western blot analysis. The expression levels of SOD-3 and catalase were decreased due to the enhanced antioxidant activity of PMEE. In particular, PMEE increased the expression levels of tyrosinase and TRP-2. These results suggest that PMEE could promote melanin synthesis that involved in tuning gray hair into black hair.

        대학 교양영어 강좌로서 온라인 교육의 방향 탐색 : 영화를 활용한 비대면 영어 수업을 기반으로

        The aim of this study is to present a case study of an online, non-face-to-face class conducted as part of a liberal arts course, analyze learners’ opinions and responses, and explore important considerations for efficient online teaching. To this end, the study presents the progress of an English class by conducting a questionnaire and individual interviews with 93 students at the university. Learners’ opinions regarding this online class were divided into satisfaction with the online class, satisfaction with class progress, satisfaction with the use of Zoom in class, etc. Learners’ satisfaction with online classes was high. The reasons for this included fun, systematic composition, class quality, convenience and personalized learning, diverse topics, instructor’s efforts. Satisfaction with class progress was also high. The reasons for this included exchange of opinions and communication, proper distribution of class activities, and efficiency of learning. The reasons for students’ satisfaction with the use of Zoom in class were communication between students, instructor’s smooth and clear progress, and appropriateness of the small meeting activities. Instructors must be thoroughly prepared for online classes, which could become very common in the future. This study conveys important considerations for this potential reality.
