The basic factor that affect wear performance is the wear characteristics, which come from sliding friction between rubber compound and road. Thus, this study focused on friction and wear of rubber. This paper briefly explain some characteristics of friction and wear referring to the papers on wear of rubber that scholars researched on. Research activities to predict the performance of the rubber wear is also explained.

In this study, the concept of environmental-friendly architecture, where environment is importantly regarded as a design concept in modern architecture and the meaning of boundary are examined. To apply properly design methodologies along with the importance of environment, the concept of environmental-friendly architecture should be first correctly established. And as the recent rapid development of technologies provides new possibilities for environmentally-friendly architecture, it is needed to have a new boundary concept and the interpretation of the meaning of boundary differentiated from the one of existing architecture. Recently the meaning of boundary is expanding its range to the relations with its neighboring environment beyond the relations with in and out of a space and has also the role as a medium for exchange and communication instead of breaking-off. Therefore, the boundary of environmental-friendly architecture alongside physical boundary is extended to the area for communication. Here, a basic boundary of architecture is maintained, but its meaning and expressions get natural shapes. The study deals with the analysis of the concept of environmental-friendly architecture and its changes from the perspective of times, environment and social backgrounds and seeks its appropriateness centered on environmental-friendly architecture since 1980s when the issues of human and environment were raised in earnest.

For a steam Rankine cycle to recover waste heat from the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, a swash plate type of expander as a power conversion unit has been designed. Numerical simulation has been carried out to estimate the performance of the designed expander. With the steam pressure and temperature of 35 bar and 300℃ at the expander inlet, respectively, the expander was estimated to produce the shaft power output of about 2.67 kW from the exhaust gas waste heat of 25.2 kW. The expander output increased almost linearly with the amount of exhaust gas waste heat in the range of from 5~40 ㎾, and the expander and Rankine cycle efficiencies showed gradual decreases in the ranges of 72.2%~69.5% and 10.8%~10.4%, respectively.

콘택트렌즈용 하이드로젤로의 단백질 흡착량을 시간에 따라 분석하여 계면으로 확산되는 단백질 흡착 반응속도를 연구하였다. HEMA(hydroxyethylmethacrylate)계열 하이드로젤과 silicone계열 하이드로젤을 단백질(알부민 또는 IgG)용액에 침지시킨 후 단백질 흡착량을 시간에 따라 측정하였다. 모든 하이드로젤로의 단백질 흡착량은 단시간(10분)에 급격히 증가한 후 90분 동안 변화 없이 일정하였다. 빠른 단백질 분자의 확산에도 불구하고 계면에너지감소는 한 시간 이상 진행되는데 이는 계면 탈수 현상이 한 시간 이상 진행되기 때문으로 이해된다. 계면에너지와 단백질 흡착량의 상관관계를 이해하여 콘택트렌즈 재질로의 단백질 흡착 반응 속도의 메커니즘을 분석하였다. Protein adsorption kinetics was studied with the amount of proteins adsorbed to contact lens hydrogels over time scales. Hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) and silicone hydrogels were dipped in protein solutions (albumin or IgG) and adsorption amounts were measured over time scales. The amount of protein adsorbed to both hydrogel types increased rapidly in 10 min, and remained consistently in 90 min. Decreasing interfacial energetics was taken slowly up to an hour in spite of rapid diffusion of protein molecules. This is due to the fact that water deprivation from three dimensional interphase initially formed by protein diffusion took over an hour. Interpretation of adsorption kinetics on contact lens hydrogels was discussed with understanding of relationship between surface energy and protein adsorption capacity.
홀리스틱교육에서 탁월한 교육자를 위한 NLP 홍익 리더십의 새 지평

이 논문은 급변하는 새로운 시대에 요청되는 홀리스틱 교육의 중요성을 논의하였다. 이러한 새로운 패러다임을 위해 근래 국내에서도 관심을 끌고 있는 NLP(Neuro-Linguistic Programming)를 활용한 교사의 리더십 개발에 역점을 두었다. 그 중에서도 우리나라의 교육이념인 홍익인간이라는 개념을 그 바탕을 두어야 한다. 왜냐하면 인간을 이롭게 한다는 홍익인간의 이념은 전 세계를 보더라도 매우 독특한 개념인 것이다. 따라서 우리나라의 전통적인 교육이념과 외국에서 과학적으로 개발된 NLP기법을 활용할 때 NLP 홍익 리더십을 가진 교사를 양성할 수 있다고 본다. NLP 기법은 매우 과학적으로 개발되었으며 그 효과가 여러 문헌을 통해 입증되고 있다. 특히 이 논문에서 소개되는 홍익 리더십의 5단계 모형으로 결단하기, 나누기, 섬기기, 신뢰하기를 반드시 실천해야 구성원들에게 영향력을 발휘하는 홍익리더의 권위를 갖게 된다. This paper investigated the emerging leadership needs in holistic education using the NLP(Neuro-Linguistic Programming) technique in order to develop excellent educators in Korea. For this purpose, this researcher cited the idea of Hongik Ingan, which is Korea"s traditional educational ideal. NLP is scientifically developed and proven it"s effectiveness in the field of education. Accordingly, the model of Hongik leadership resulted in this paper. The five step model is composed of determinating, sharing, serving, and believing. On top of that, it is necessary that we put the model into practice. The is the prime goal of the Hongik leadership program.

A steam expander has been studied for its usability as a power conversion device in a Rankine cycle, which can be used for on site power generation or waste heat recovery. Design of swash plate type expander has been practiced and its performance has been estimated. With the steam pressure and temperature of 35bar and 300℃ at the expander inlet, respectively, it was calculated that the expander produced the shaft power output of about 5㎾ from steam energy of 35㎾. Adiabatic and mechanical efficiencies of the designed expander were 86.5% and 96.7%, respectively. With the volumetric efficiency of 90%, the total efficiency of the expander was 75.3%.
