        주거와 자아에 관한 상징적 상호작용론적 접근

        The focus of this paper is en symbolic interaction of housing and self identity. In terms of housing \ulcorner self interactions, this paper aims at defining how human self is influenced by housing and is reflected on housing.This paper discusses meanings and symbols of housing, it also clarifies the development of industry and technology have effect on housing - self indentify and enrich reification, pseudoindividuality, alienation.This paper concludes that human beings are creative agent and accordingly suggests revitalizing housing environmental representations .

        The housing is shaped a unique type under the influence of various factors, the family plays an important role in the its. In this respect, this study attempted to clarifies the relationship between the family structure and housing character (type,layout, space use). The unique family structure in Cheju island impacts on vernacular houses, which guarntees privacy and interaction, equal family relationship. This could give a clue to the good housing design go with the social and family structure change.

      • 漢拏山 白鹿潭 墳火口內의 生態系에 관한 硏究[I]

        This study was perforned on the terrestrial and aquatic plants and animals of the crater of Mt.Halla, Baeknokdam, by the way of collection and survey and the dominant vegetation was sampled by quadrat. Identified plants were 57% families, 169 species. 47 species were unrecorded in Baeknokdam flora. Forest community was developed on the north and north-east facing slopes and the domi- nant was Abies roreana Wilson. On the west facing slope was the shrubby community dominated by rhododendon species and talus occupied this side. The south-west facing slope has the poorest vegetation and the worst severe land slide. 9 orders,39 families, 54 species of insects, 2 orders,3 families, 3 species of amphibians, and 1 order, 6 families, 7 species of aves were identified. The small number of insects were aquatic and the most terrestrial. 3 species of insects (Acidiella diversa Ito, Stylia messalina Hering & Meromyza saltarix Linne)and 1 species of birds (Turdus celaenops Steneger)were unrecorded in Korean fauna, and 22 species were unrecorded insects in Quelpart Island's.

      • 과학전 출품작과 현장학습의 연계성에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we report some sorts of result obtained by investigating the exhibits which had been submitted for "The National Exhibition of Science"and "The Science Exhibition for the Students of Cheju-do"during the last ten years and by putting the questions to the science teacher of the teacher of the middle and high schools in Cheju-do. Up to the half number the exhibits are occupied by the field of physics and biology. Almost the exhibits (above 90%) have the contents related to those of the current curriculum. However, 30.2% of the respondents only believe that their students may put the exhibits to practical use in learning. Many respondents replied that they could have not participated in the exhibition of science because they were in heavy duty and the fiscal support were not only so limited but also not sufficient enough to make an excellent work.

      • 濟州島産 森林鳥類의 外部形態

        1. From early February 1979 to January 1980, the authors captured 99 specimens of birds, of which there 14 families and 26 species. 2. We measured external traits of birds, that is, the length of bill, primaries, secondaries, wing, tail, tarsus, toe, claw, and body in addition to head breadth and tarsus thickness, while various ratios of external traits were also calculated in terms of primaries/wing, secondaries/wing, secondaries/primaries, tail/body, and wing/body. 3. Analysis of variance of the ratio was made within every one of 5 families (12 species) exclusive of families of one species or less than 3 specimens. 4. The ratio of primaries/wing was not significant in every family at the 5% level. 5. In two families (Turdidae and Fringillidae, significant were two ratios, secondaries/wing and secondaries/primaries. 6. The ratios of tail/wing significant in 4 families (Alcedinidae, Paridae, Turdidae, and Fringillidae). 7. Wing/body ratio was significant in 4 families (Alcedinidae, Paridae, Turdidae, and Fringillidae). 8. There was no significant ratio in one family (Sylviidae). 9. From the results we found the possibility that the ratios of external traits may become a mark for the family. 10. The more complex the life style of birds is, the more significant factors of external traits may be.

      • 濟州島産 Phsianus colchinus의 冬季食習性

        During November 1977 and February 1978, field survey and collecting of pheasant Phasianus colchinus were concentrated in Hankyung-Myon, Aewol-Myon, Guzwa-Myon, and Jochun-Myon for the study of the winter food habits of the birds. Distribution of pheasant and flora of all sites were similar to each other and the birds migrated to 200m above the sea level during snow drifts season. However, their nesting ranges are up to 1,940m above the sea level during summer (Park, 1976). The total number of collected birds were 42; 12 in Hankyung-Myon, 17 in Aewol-Myon, 2 in Jochun-Myon and 11 in Guzwa-Myon, Their stomach contents showed the ratios of vegetable and animal matters to the total food items (in dry weight) 99.92% and 0.02% respectively and the ratio of others 0.06%. Identified species of the above food groups were 43, 1 and 2 respec- tively. The ratios of vegetable food groups to the total food items were (1) grains, 44.40%, (2) tuber, 29.18%, (3) fruits, 13.00%, (4) seeds, 7.24%, (5) bulb, 3.52% and (6) leaves, 2.35% The percentage of berbs(86.69%) and trees (13.00%) showed that the primary food item of pheasant was herbs. Families of vegetable food items which had large number of species were Fabaceae (8) and Poaceae (9). In the view of quantity, the preference order of food items of the birds was Convolrulaceae (20.18%), Fabaceae (25.99%), Polygonaceae (14.09%), Rosaceae (11.23%), etc. The largest quantity of food found in the stomach was 39.60g and the smallest was 3.12g. The birds collected at P.M. consumed a larger quanitiy of food materials than the animals collected at A.M. and females consumed more variable food items than males did.

      • 濟州島 鳥類의 地域別 分布

        During October, 1981 and March, 1982, the authors performed plot census of bird communities at four ravine areas in Jeju Island. Total 56 species were recorded. Kwangyoung and Donnaiko areas were rich in species, and the individual number was maximum at Kwangyoung area throughout the survey period and except for October the second level was maintained at Donnaiko area. The next order was Earimok and Suackyo area. During winter season the species and individual number were decreased at Earimok and Suackyo area. The individual density of each area was fluctuated by the similar pattern of species number. Dominance index was high(0.124) at Suackyo area, the next was 0.082 at Earimok, and the indices were similarly low at Kwangyoung and Donnaiko area (0.054 and 0.053 respectively). Diversity index was high at Kwangyoung area but not exceed to a great the value of Donnaiko area and the lowest index was obtained from Suackyo area community. In order to compare similarities of the bird communities harmornity index (Kimoto 1971) was adopted. This similarity index was high between Kwangyoung and Donnaiko area community and lowest between Suackyo and Kwangyoung area community. It appears that the similarity of bird communities higher between Kwangyoung and Donnaiko area than that between other areas because those areas were similar in the altitude and vegetation.
