        키네시오 테이프의 장력 차이가 젊은 대학생들의 발목 근력, 관절가동범위 및 균형에 미치는 영향

        Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of differences in the tension of Kinesio tape applied to the tibialis anterior muscle on muscle strength, joint range of motion and balance of ankle joint in young adults. Design: Randomized Controlled Trial. Methods: 41 young college students participated in this study. And the subjects were allocated randomly to two group. The experimental group had a tension difference (10%G, n=20). And there was no differ- ence in tension in the control group (0%G, n=21). Jtech power track Ⅱ, goniometer, and Biorescue were used to measure muscle strength, joint range of motion and balance. The paired t-test was performed to examine the differences within the groups before and after taping, and the independent t-test was performed to examine the differences between the groups. Result: 1) As a result of measuring muscle strength of each group, all measurements except 0%G of plantar flexion showed insignificant results. 2) Measurement of joint range of motion each group showed that neither 0%G nor 10%G was significant. 3) As a result of measuring the baladncing ability of each group there was a significant decrease in length, and average speed of the balancing capability (p<.05). 4) Comparisons between groups showed significant differences in the area among balance capability (p<.05). Conclusions: Based on these findings, the tension difference of Kinesio tape applied to the tibialis anterior muscle shows little effect on the muscle strength, range of motion, and balance of ankle joints. Given the current lack of research on the tension of kinesio tapes many studies are needed in the future to establish clear theories.

        홍어 껍질 콜라겐 펩타이드의 지표성분 밸리데이션 및 생리활성

        In this study, we developed and validated a high-performance liquid chromatography/photodiode array method for the quantification of glycine- proline-hydroxyproline (GPH) as a marker compound in skate skin collagen peptides (SCPs). The accurate molecular mass and amino acid sequence of this marker were determined using a QTOF mass spectrometer. Chromatographic separations were conducted using a 95:5 isocratic mobile phase of 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid (A) and acetonitrile/methanol (1:4 v/v, B) at a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min; the separated compounds were detected at 214 nm using a Jupiter® 4 μm Proteo 90Å column. The method was validated for specificity, linearity, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantitation (LOQ), accuracy, and precision. It was found to be linear in the range of 1.0-50.0 μg/mL, with a good correlation coefficient (R2=0.9999) and excellent specificity. The LOD and LOQ were 0.07 and 0.22 μg/mL, respectively. A recovery study determined the accuracy of the method, with an average recovery of 103.76%, 100.35% and 103.97% of the marker at 10, 15 and 25 μg/mL, respectively, and a precision study showed a relative standard deviation of less than 2%. Additionally, the DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities of the SCPs increased in a concentration-dependent manner, and UV­protective effect was confirmed by human keratinocyte (HaCaT cell) viability. Our study thus provides the foundation for developing functional foods or cosmetics using SCPs.

        삼채․강황 복합추출물의 기능성 원료 표준화를 위한 HPLC 분석법 검증

        This study was preformed to establish a simple and reliable HPLC/UV analytical method to determine p-coumaric acid contents for the standardization of water extracts of Allium hookeri and Curcuma longa complex as functional health food ingredients. The quantitative HPLC method was optimized using a reversed-phase C18 column at 35℃ with methanol and H2O (30:70, v/v) as the gradient mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and along with detection wavelength of UV 300 nm. This HPLC/UV analytical method exhibited good specificity and high linearity in the tested range of 1.0–10.0 mg/mL with excellent coefficient of determination (R2) of 1.0. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were 0.08 and 0.24 μg/mL, respectively. In addition, the relative standard deviation values from the intra and inter-day precision measurements were 0.4 and 0.1%, respectively. These results indicate that the established HPLC/UV analytical method is simple, specific, precise, accurate, and reproducible and so could be employed in the quantitative analysis of p-coumaric acid as a functional compound in Allium hookeri Thwaites and Curcuma longa complex.
