N/A Decorative tattooing has become popular among Korean women, done by many beauticians offering this service. This has resulted in various serious complications including cutaneous granulomas. We tried to produce granulomatous reaction in rats following the injection of eyebrow tattoo pigment. Thiry rats were divided into 3 groups and were injected in tradermally with following materials:tattoo pigment, tattoo pigment and Freund complete adjuvant, and Freund complete adjuvant, respectively. Using an inductively coupled plasma(ICP) spectrometry, quantitative elemental analysis of the original sample of the tattoo dye was done. The results were as follows : 1. In tattoo pigment injected group, foreign body granulomas we`e observed in 7 of 10 rats at one month, which consisted of macrophages, mononuclear cells and foreign body giant cells around tattoo pigment. Little difference was seen in the granulomas between one and two months. In the remaining 3 rats, macrophages that had ingested tattoo pigment and mononuclear inflammatory cells were diffusely scattered in the dermis. 2. In the tattoo pigment and Freund complete adjuvant injected group, all 10 showed foreign body granulomas at one month. Little difference was seen in the granulomas between one and two months. 3. In Freund complete adjuvant injected control group, macrophages and mononuclear inflammatory cells were present in the dermis, but well formed granulomas were not present. 4. By ICP spectrometry, cobalt(11280ppm), calcium(1101ppm), chromium(238ppm), lead(441.6ppm), aluminum(56.52ppm), sodium(456.8ppm), potassium(457.6ppm), magnesium(142.28ppm), phosphorus(25.95ppm), nickel(11.85ppm), copper(1.37ppm) and titanium(0.34ppm) were detected from the tattoo pigment.

The postmodern reaction against the modern axiom that has brought the lost sense of place can be de-constructing one-to-one relationship in form and function. Based on the understanding of sense of place in postmodern thought, the study attempts to investigate the concept of program inherited in Rem Koolhaas’ and Bernard Tschumi"s architecture, to explore a new way of place-making through architectural insertion of inconsistent programs, and to examine how architecture with heterogeneous programs influences on the sense of place.
Rocket salad(Eruca sativa) 중 glucosinolate 동정 및 정량

Glucosinolate (GSL) contents were investigated (ⅰ) at 1~7 days after sowing (DAS) in seed sprouts and (ⅱ) at 3-7 weeks after sowing for the time-course. Moreover, (ⅲ) They were compared with five different cultivars of rocket salad (Eruca sativa). Seventeen GSLs were separated by HPLC analysis, and 10 GSLs among them were identified as glucoraphanin, sinigrin, glucoalyssin, diglucothiobeinin, glucobrassicanapin, glucoerucin, glucobrassicin, dimeric, 4-mercaptobutyl GSL, 4-methoxy glucobrassicin, gluconasturttin by using LC-APCI-MS analysis, but 7 compounds were not identified. (ⅰ) The total GSL content in seed sprouts initially increased up to 3 DAS and then decreased according to their seedling growth. In particular, glucoraphanin known as a strong anti-cancer reagent was found the highest level (5.05 μ㏖/g dry wt.) at 3 DAS. The most abundant GSL was glucoerucin ranged from 26.0~49.6 μ㏖/g dry wt. (ⅱ) In the time-course, the total GSL contents increased dramatically from 3-week (5.91 μ㏖/g dry wt.) to 7-week after sowing (32.2 μ㏖/g dry wt.). The major GSLs were glucoraphanin, glucoerucin and 4-methoxy glucobrassicin. (ⅲ) By comparing GSL contents with five different cultivars, the total GSL contents increased from 4-week to 6-week after sowing, regardless of cultivar. In 4-week-old, the order with the total GSL content was “Rucola” > “Rocket Herbs” “Odyssey” > “Takii” > “Herb”, but in 6-week-old it is changed as “Takii” > “Herb” > “Odyssey” > “Rucola” > “Rocket Herbs” even there was almost no significantly difference between them.
