We remodel a diesel engine into the visible engine of the swirl chamber type, analyze photographs of combustion process with a high speed video camera. At the same time, we measure the pressure of a combustion chamber, the soot density and others in order to analyze the engine performance characteristic. We are going to test as this way.<br/> ·We analyze combustion flames which arc changed by effects of the fluid motion according to the swirl chamber shapes.<br/> ·In the combustion chamber mechanism, we analyze effects of a main chamber, a swirl chamber and a Jet Passage. And we make use of the design data of a swirl diesel engine on the basis of these results.
소형어선의 전복방지화 안정장치 시스템 개발에 관한 연구

The wing-flap stabilizing system attached under the hull bottom of a small fishing vessel to prevent the capsize by controlling the roll motions has been developed. This paper describes the background of the system design together with the experimental results. The effectiveness of the system is proven by the towing tank tests with a ¼ scale model, showing that the roll motions of the model are much reduced by the active flap control in multidirectional irregular waves with forward speeds.
