Blepharospasm and apraxia of lid opening(ALO) are non-paralytic causes of involuntary eyelid closure. Clinically it is difficult to differentiate blepharospasm and ALO, and these two conditions are sometimes associated. We report a case of pretarsal blepharospasm presenting as apraxia of lid opening. 55-year-old woman was noted to have voluntary eye opening difficulty. We synchronously record the electromyographic(EMG) from the levator palpebrae superioris and the orbicularis oculi muscles in this patient. This results suggested that she has a variant of blepharospasm due to abnormal contraction in the pretarsal orbicularis oculi.

The water purification was very important in Korea which has not sufficient water resource and while adsorption method among the various methods to eliminate the water pollutants has been widely used by activated carbon. This study was conducted the basic experiment for hall distribution, pH, conductivity, electronic microscope, cation exchange and inorganic materials the adsorption capacity of Korean traditional charcoal which has similar characteristics to activated carbon of organic pollutants. As a result of observing Korean traditional charcoal with electronic microscope, it was found that it has porous structure, oak charcoal has circular structure, pine charcoal has square structure and bamboo charcoal has hexagonal structure, which has high void fraction per unit area because of its thin cell wall structure. As a result of experimenting hall distribution, hall distribution of bamboo high temperature charcoal is high as 0.269cc/g and has the greatest inorganic contents and cation exchange capacity(CEC) which are the important factor of chemical adsorption.
Styrene을 이용한 OenNtn수지의 합성과우라늄(Ⅵ)이온 흡착 특성

The ion exchange resins have been synthesized from chloromethyl styrene (dangerous matter) 1, 4-divinylbenzene(DVB) with 1%, 5%, and 15%-crosslinked and macrocyciic ligand of cryptand type by copolymerization method and the adsorption of uranium(Ⅵ), cobalt(Ⅱ) and europium(Ⅲ) ions have been investigated in various experimental conditions. The correlation between the adsorption characteristics of rare earths and transition metal on the resins and stability constants of complexes with macrocyclic ligand have been examined. The uranium ion was not adsorbed on the resins below pH 2.0, but the power of adsorption of uranium ion increased rapidly above pH 3.0. The adsorption power was in the order of 1%, 5% and 15%-crosslinked resin, but adsorptive characteristics of resins decreased in proportion to the order of dielectric constants of solvents.
Cryptand 이온교환 수지에 의한 U(Ⅵ), Pb(Ⅱ), Ce(Ⅲ) 금속 이온들의 흡착

1%, 2%, 10% 및 20%의 가교도를 가진 스타이렌(제4류 위험물) 디비닐벤젠 공중합체에 1-aza-18-crown-6 거대 고리 리간드를 치환반응으로 결합시켜 수지들을 합성하였으며, 이들 수지의 합성은 염소 함량과 원소 분석 그리고 IR-스펙트럼으로 확인하였다. 수지 흡착제에 대한 금속 이온의 흡착에 미치는 pH, 시간 그리고 수지의 가교도에 따른 영향들을 조사한 결과 금속 이온들은 pH 3 이상에서 큰 흡착율을 보였으며, 금속 이온들의 흡착 평형은 2시간 정도였다. 한편, 에탄올 용액에서 수지에 대한 흡착 선택성은 우라늄(UO₂²?) > 납(Pb²?) > 세륨(Ce³?) 이온이었고, 금속 이온의 흡착력은 1%, 2%, 10% 및 20%의 가교도 순이었다. Resins were synthesized with 1-aza-18-crown-6 macrocyclic ligand attached to styrene(dangerous matter) divinylbenzene(DVB) copolymer with crosslink of 1%, 2%, 10%, and 20% by substitution reaction. The synthesis of these resins was confirmed by content of chlorine, element analysis, and IR-spectrum. The effects of pH, time and crosslink on adsorption of metal ion by the synthetic resin adsorbent were investigated. The metal ion was showed fast adsorption on the resins above pH 3. The optimum equilibrium time for adsorption of metallic ions was about two hours. The adsorption selectivity determined in ethanol solution was in increasing order of uranium(UO22+) > lead(Pb2+) > cerium(Ce3+) ion. The adsorption was in the order of 1%, 2%, 10%, and 20% crosslink resin.
