In this paper, we investigate accurately the input-output characteristic of single-phase diode rectifier. The diode rectifier has some advantages of simplicity, cost, and high-efficiency. But it has some defects which THD of input current, low PF, and voltage drop of output side. In order to compensate it, we analyzed using the parameter variation and introduced capacitor insertion method for reducing the distortion and increasing the PF.

Active power filters are used to compensate reactive and harmonic CUITent on nonlinear loads. And to improve compensation characteristics of achve power filter systems, the accuracy of harmoruc currents detector and the deSIgn of CUITent controller are important In special under unbalanced condihon, nonlinear loads include low order harmonic CUITents (like 1st and 2nd order) on the synchronous reference frame due to negative sequence CUITent. Therefore Because of the bandwidth characteristic of LPF, detection of harmonic cUITents by conven1:1onal lowpass filter are maccurate.<br/> In this paper, to solve the defect of LPF for detection of CUITent under unbalanced condition, we propose the MAF(Moviing Average Filter) which has high accuracy. This MAF is consist of lowpass and bandstop filter charactenstic that remove all of harmonics. And proposed method and theoretical result are verifIed by sImulation and expenment.

This paper describes a 3-phase Line-Interactive APF system and analyzes Its operating characteristics considering LC Filter output characteristics Topology of APF is similar to that of Off-Line UPS In the point of parallelly operating Inverter system So It is possible to be multi-functioned active compensating system according to power condition likewise, that actively operating system from APF to UPS, and Vice versa IS often to be called Line-Interactive system And more than that, Line-Interactive system needs precise design of LC filter on converter output side to make tins system fully operate In both APF and UPS modes The problem In this point is how to destgn LC Filter to be contented with two different system charactenstics, so this paper analyzes this problem and proposes Its<br/> design procedures Then, suggested filter design is verified to be<br/> contented by the simulations and experimental results
