The predictions of the mean effective pressure and the exhaust emission of NOx in hydrogen fueled spark ignition engine were studied. And the predictions were compared to the experimental results of D.B. Kittelson and H.S. Homan.<br/> The modeling was based on Otto cycle and the prediction of NOx was performed by extended Zeldovich mechanism.<br/> The differences between predictions and experimental results were 20-30% in the mean effective pressure and 10-20% in the concentration of NOx where the equivalence ratio φ was 0.6 - 0.8.

Suction system plays a main role in transferring products or parts when manufacturing with its simple and stable grabbing properties. In order to maintain taking objects, the system should generate sucking force continuously, but usual suction mechanism is composed of multi-suction cup with one air compressor. Consequently, only a malfunction of suction cup can cause the damage to products. To prevent this, new suction mechanism was proposed using permanent magnet last year. The proposed mechanism activates each suction cup separately, therefore the grabbing stability was enhanced. But that also had demerits, namely, high load to actuator, bad influences to products caused by magnet, and low efficiency due to the sucking speed. So we propose more simple, stable and efficient method to give actuation to each cup using step motor not with magnets. With experiments, the development of lifting ability and stable suction performance are shown.
[論文] Methanol을 燃料로 한 電氣點火 機關의 排出物 濃度豫測에 관한 硏究

A prediction of emission concentrations was made by calculating chemical equilibrium on the basis of an indicated pressure diagram in spark ignition engine using methanol as a fuel.<br/> A prediction according to Otto cycle was also made and for carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitric oxide, emission test was performed using a conventional SI engine that was modified a little considering fuel characteristics.<br/> An investigation was made for those three cases-results from an indicated pressure diagram, Otto cycle and emission test.<br/> A good agreement between the measured values and the predicted ones existed for carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, but not for nitric oxide. And good results existed for the other emission concentrations.

This paper presents a control system for the exhaust emissions from automotive gasoline engine and the lean mixture approach were adopted in the experiments, which were composed of the process of charging heated and compressed air into the throttle body of carburetor. The system carried out to control the concentration of hydrocarbon by various air temperature and pressure charged. The result of the experiment indicate that the air temperature and pressure were affected the reducing hydrocarbon concentration in the exhaust emission.
[論文] Alcohol-gasoline 機關의 性能과 排出物에 關한 硏究

Experiments about engine performance using alcohol-gasoline blend as a fuel are studied. A conventional 4cycle 4cylinder gasoline engine is used. Measurements on torque, output, specific fuel consumption, and emissions are made over ignition tim-ing and mixing ratio.<br/> Up to vol. 15% of alcohol, torque and output using alcohol-gasoline blend are al-<br/> most same with using only gasoline, and specific fuel consumption is improved about 7 %. In emissions alcohol-gasoline blend is more effective than gasoline.
