      • Subunit Structure of Carbon Monoxide Oxidase from Pseudomonas carboxydovorans

        Pseudomonas carboxydovorans의 일산화탄소 산화효소의 subunit 구조를 관찰하기 위하여 일산화탄소를 에너지 및 탄소원으로 이용하여 자란 세균으로부터 일산화탄소 산화효소를 순화하였다. 이 효소를 전기영동한 후 활성염색하여 순화된 단백질이 순수한 일산화탄소 산화효소임을 알았고, sodium dodecyl sulfate가 포함된 전기영동을 한 결과 이 효소가 세 가지 종류의 서로 다른 크기 의 subunit (14,000, 25,000, 85,000)로 구성되어 있음을 밝혔다. 이 결과는 Kim 등 (FEMS Microbiol. Lett. 13:219-223, 1982)의 결과와는 일치 하나 Meyer와 Schlegel(J. Bacteriol. 141:74-80, 1980)의 보고와는 일치하지 않는데 이와 같은 상이한 보고의 원인에 대해서도 간단히 논하였다.         A Multi-Center Educational Research Regarding Breastfeeding for Pediatrics Residents in Korea

        Purpose: Pediatricians have a significant responsibility to educate mothers about the importance of breastfeeding. However, there have been minimal efforts in the courses of resident training in Korea. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the change in knowledge and attitude before and after a 4-week breastfeeding educational intervention among multicenter residents. Methods: Prospective interventional educational research was designed for residents at eight training hospitals in Korea. Institutional reviews were obtained in each hospital. The education curriculum consisted of 14 courses regarding breastfeeding theory and practice. These materials were used to teach pediatric residents for 4 weeks. Knowledge-based tests were administered before the course, and re-tests were administered after the course using different test items of similar levels. Test scores and survey responses were compared before and after the intervention. Results: A total of 73 residents (1st year 20, 2nd year 23, 3rd year 16, and 4th year residents 14) from eight training hospitals completed the intervention. Their average age was 30.3±2.9 years, 17 (23.3%) were male, 22 (30.1%) were married, and eight had more than one child of their own. The mean pre-test score was 61.8±13.4 and the mean post-test score was 78.3±7.5 (P<0.001). The inter-grade difference in the score was significant in the pre-test (P=0.005), but not significant in the post-test (P=0.155). There were more responses of obtaining confidence after the intervention (P<0.001). Conclusion: In our study, pediatric residents showed improvement in their knowledge and confidence level after 4 weeks of the breastfeeding curriculum.       • 관능평가 시 맛 감도에 영향을 미치는 요인 구명

        본 연구는 미각에 의해 다섯 가지 기본 맛을 인지하는 정도와 차이의 특성을 구명하고자 수행하였다. 실험1은 비슷한 연령의 남, 여 각 8명의 평소 맛 선호도와 육류 선호도를 함께 분석하여 남녀성비에 따른 맛 인지도의 차이를 분석고찰 하였는데, 맛인지 감도에 영향을 줄 수 있는 흡연, 실험환경제어, 금주, 금연의 요인을 제어하여 짠맛, 신맛, 쓴맛, 감칠맛, 단맛을 5가지 농도로 테스트 후 남녀 평균 차이를 비교하였다. 실험 2의 경우 관능평가를 이용하여 기본 맛의 세 가지 짠맛, 쓴맛 그리고 감칠맛의 유의관계를 구명하였다. 실험1의 결과, 여성 패널은 신맛의 농도를 민감하게 인지하는 경향을 보인 반면 남성패널은 짠맛에 대해 민감한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 남성패널이 모든 맛에 대하여 여성패널들 보다 민감한 경향을 보였다. 이는 성별 또한 맛을 감지하는데 영향을 끼치는 요인이라는 것을 나타낸다. 실험2의 결과, 짠맛의 농도가 높아질수록 쓴맛과 우마미맛을 인지하는 감도가 유의적으로 증가하였으며, 쓴맛의 농도가 높아지면 짠맛과 우마미맛이 유의적으로 더욱 강하게 느껴지는 것을 알 수 있었다. The objective of this study was conducted to investigate susceptibility of recognition on five basic tastes (exp 1) and interaction of different concentrations between each basic taste (exp 2). For experiment 1, five level of different concentration taste solutions, which were salty, bitter, sweet, sour and umami, was recognized by trained male and female panels that had similar eating habits. For experiment 2, panels who were in same age group tasted and recognized strength of total 27 mixed solutions that were prepared to three levels of salty, bitter and umami taste solutions. As results of experiment 1, female group tended to be more susceptible on sour taste than male group, otherwise, male group tended to be more susceptible on salty than female group. As results of experiment 2, credits of bitter and umami taste was increased with increasing salty taste significantly (p 0.05). Moreover, bitter taste significantly affected to susceptibility of salty and umami taste as well (p<0.05).

        렌티큘러 렌즈시트를 이용한 모션그래픽 표현에 관한 연구

        산업기술의 발달은 새로운 영상매체를 통한 그래픽의 출현을 가속화시켰고 다양한 영상매체의 등장은 메시지를 전달하는 수단에 다양성을 부여하였다. 인간은 영상매체의 움직임 속에서 감성을 자극받아 더 많은 정보를 얻게 되었고 이에 모션그래픽은 효과적인 시각전달 방법으로 활용되며 대중적 관심을 이끌었다. 여러 컨텐츠 장르 중 모션그래픽은 인간의 감각기관(시 청각)을 통해 커뮤니케이션 활동의 보조적인 역할을 수행하며 설득력 있는 매체로 자리 잡고 있다. 이와 함께 렌티큘러 렌즈시트를 이용한 모션그래픽이 제한적으로 사용되면서 기존 2D 이미지만으로 영상의 부분적 표현인 모션과 3D 이미지로의 표현이 가능해졌다. 영상매체의 한계를 렌티큘러 렌즈시트를 이용한 모션그래픽에서 실현되었고 인쇄매체에서도 움직임과 3D 이미지의 표현이 가능해지면서 디지털 기반의 보완적 매체로써 고려할 수 있게 되었다. 이에 기존 그래픽 분야에서 주목받아 왔던 모션그래픽과 새롭게 관심이 집중되고 있는 렌티큘러 렌즈시트를 이용한 모션그래픽을 이론적 배경과 함께 분석하여 다양한 그래픽 효과와 표현을 통해 효과적인 메시지 전달 방법을 공유하며 향후 광고전략 수립 시 다양한 접근과 접목의 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. The development of industrial technology let the new video media to appear with increasing speed and the appearance of various video media provided the means of communication with diversity. Man has received more information with the stimulation of sensibility in the action of video media and then the motion has interested the masses while being applied for an effective visual communicator. Above all the genres of contents the motiongraphic is establishing itself as an appealing medium carrying out the supporting part of communicating activities through the human sense organs(visual and auditory). And with the popular appearance of the graphic applying lenticular lens sheets it has become possible to express the formerly existing 2D images into 3D images and motion which is the partial expression of video. With the realization of the passing the limit of video media and with the using of the expression of 3D image and motion in printing media popular interest for motion-graphic is growing. By the comparison and the analysis of motiongraphic that has been noticed in existing field of graphic and the graphic using lenticular lens sheets that is newly focused the method of effective message communication through various expressions and effects of graphic would be shared and the possibility of approach and integration in mapping future advertising strategy would be presented.

        단보 : 어린이놀이터 바닥재의 유해물질 노출실태

        This study was performed to perceive environmental pollution in children`s playground in Gwangju metropolitan city. Two types of sand and synthetic rubber as flooring material were used in children`s playground. The sampling was collected from 20 sites in sand flooring material and 21 sites in synthetic rubber flooring material. They are measured to evaluate pH, heavy metals, and parasite eggs in sites of sand flooring material and also to heavy metals in sites of synthetic rubber floor material. In site of sand flooring material, pH range was from 5.8 to 8.8. The average concentration of Pb, As, Hg, Cd, and Cr6+ was 16.318, 0.343, 0.048, 0.258, and 0.000 in unit mg/kg, respectively. In site of synthetic rubber flooring material. The average value of the total sum concentration of heavy metals such as Pb, As, Hg, Cd, and Cr6+ was 70.427 mg/kg. This total concentration of heavy metals was even much lower than that of criteria (1,000 mg/kg). The parasite eggs were not found in sites of sand flooring material. Therefore, it showed that all sites in children`s playground was safe environmentally.
