MAG 알고리즘에 의한 힐버트 변환기의 하드웨어 복잡도 감소에 관한 연구

힐버트 변환은 무선 디지털 통신으로부터 수신된 대역통과 신호를 저역통과 신호로 변환시켜 사용자에게 필 요한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 역할을 수행한다. 힐버트 변환의 기본 연산과정은 승산과 가산 연산으로 구성되어 있으 며, 힐버트 변환을 하드웨어로 구현한 힐버트 변환기는 승산기 설계에서 많은 양의 게이트들을 이용한 설계가 요구되 고, 이에 따라 구현된 힐버트 변환기는 높은 소비전력과 넓은 면적을 차지하여 모바일 디지털 기기의 전체적인 성능 에 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 MAG(Minimum Adder Graph) 알고리즘을 이용하여 승산 연산의 복잡도를 감소시켜 디지털 통신기기 특히 모바일 시스템의 구성요소인 힐버트 변환기를 기존의 방법보다 더 적은 게이트를 이용하여 구 현할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 Xilinx사의 ISE환경에서 모의 실험하여 성능의 우수함을 보여주었다. The Hilbert transform performs a role to transform band pass signals into low pass signals in wireless communication systems. The operation of Hilbert transform is based on a convolution process which is required adding and multiplying calculations. When the Hilbert transform is designed and hardware-implemented at gate level, the adding and multiplying operation requires a high power consumption and a occupation of wide area on a chip. So the results of adding and multiplying operation cause to degrade the performance of implemented system. In this paper, the new Hilbert transformer is proposed, which has a low hardware complexity by application of MAG(Minimum Adder Graph) algorithm. The proposed Hilbert transformer was simulated in ISE environment of Xilinx and showed the reduction of hardware complexity comparing with the number of gate in the conventional Hilbert transformer.
이류체 세정공정에서 이물질 포집 장치 개발에 관한 수치적 연구

The purpose of the research is to develop a device to prevent secondary contamination by particles removed in the cleaning process of small precision plastic lens injection molds. The particle capturing device consists of two-fluid jet injection inlet for cleaning and another inlet of atmospheric air to maintaining the cleaning effect and an outlet for inhale the particles by applying vacuum pressure. The optimal air intake size was 0.12L and the outer shape of the device was proposed to have an inclination of 45°. In addition, a baffle was installed between the injection and the suction port inside the device to maximize the cleaning and capturing effect. The optimal length of the baffle was evaluated by analyzing the flow and particle behavior. The length of the cylindrical shape of the baffle with a constant cross section is suitable for 1.8L, 2.4L, and 3L, and the optimal length for the conical shape of the baffle was evaluated to be 3L.
회전근 개 완전파열 환자에서의 나이 및 성별에 따른 견관절 동반 병소의 차이

목적: 회전근 개 완전 파열로 관절경적 시술을 받은 환자를 대상으로 나이와 성별에 따른 견관절 동반 병소의 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 2003년 6월부터 2006년 3월까지 본원 정형외과에서 회전근 개 완전파열로 수술하였던 109명, 109례의 환자들을 대상으로 견관절 동반 병소의 차이를 분석하였다. 성별 분포는 남자 59명, 여자 50명이었고 나이는 최소 24세에서 최고 75세로 평균 53.3세였다. 연령대에 따른 분류는 59세 이하의 환자 군과 60세 이상의 환자 군으로 임의로 분류하였고 분석 대상은 견봉 쇄골 관절염, 상부 관절와 순 병변, 상완 이두근 염의 동반 유무를 Khai-square를 이용하여 통계학적으로 분석하였다. 결과: 전반적으로 견봉 쇄골 관절염은 60세 이상의 환자 군에서 59세 이하 군에 비해 높은 동반율을 보였고 상부 관절와 순 병변은 59세 이하의 환자 군, 특히 남자 환자에서 60세 이상의 환자 군에 비해 높은 동반 비율을 보였다. 결론: 회전근 개 파열의 진단 및 치료를 함에 있어 연령대에 따른 견관절 동반 병소를 고려하여야 하며, 특히 젊은 남자환자에서는 상부 관절와 순 병변, 고령의 환자에서 견봉 쇄골 관절염의 동반 유무를 반드시 확인하여야겠다. Purpose: This study evaluated the differences in associated shoulder lesions on complete rotator cuff tear patients regarding ages and gender. Materials and Methods: Between June 2003 and March 2006, 109 patients (59 males, 50 females) who received arthroscopic shoulder surgery for their complete rotator cuff tear were selected and their associated shoulder lesions were analyzed. Ages were between 24 years, the youngest, and 75 years, the oldest. Groups by age were under 59 years group and over 60 years group, and associated lesions of patients to be analyzed were Acromioclavicular arthritis, SLAP(shoulder labrum anterior and posterior) lesion, and biceps tendinitis, and statistic analysis were performed by Khai-square method. Results: For acromioclavicular joint arthritis, over 60 years old group showed higher association rate compared to under 59 years young group, and for SLAP lesions, under 59 years young group showed higher association rate compared to over 60 years old group only in men. Conclusion: For diagnosis and treatment of complete rotator cuff tear patient, associated shoulder lesions in different ages should be considered, especially associations of SLAP lesions in young male patients, and acromioclavicular joint arthritis in old age patients should be verified.

EuroNCAP(European New Car Assessment Program) announced recently a modified testing protocol for side impact assessment using the EUROSID-2 dummy instead of the EUROSID-1 dummy. The EUROSID-2 dummy is identical in many parts with the EUROSID-1 dummy but shows different behavior in experiments. Hence, the development of a model for the ES-2 dummy is of great interest for the automotive engineers working in the field of safety. This paper shows a technique of improving occupant injury performance when using an EUROSID-2 dummy.
