희토류금속의 이온크로마토그래피에서 용리제 (HEDTA) 가 흡착단계에 미치는 영향

In conventional ion chromatographical separation of the rare earths it is customary that the mixed elements are adsorbed first to the ionic exchange resin phase and then eluted by complexing agent for separation of individual elements. This paper describes a novel method in which complexed solution of R.E. by HEDTA is directly fed in the adsorption stage. The distribution of the R.E. on the resin bed in the column was calculated from the data available. The result with three elements Sm(III), Nd(III), Pr(III) showed that the distribution in the column was in the adverse order from top of the resin bed. This was varified by the experiment. The experimental result proved to be advantageous to the conventional method, In the 40% of adsorption band, R.E.'s were partilly separated and hence the length of displacement column can be shortened. This enables the operation to be faster with lesser reagent.

저자들은 최근 화농성 슬관절염과 병발한 수막구균성 수막염 1예를 체험하였고, 이는 국내에서 아직 보고되지 않은 드문 예로 사료되어 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. We recently experienced a case of meningococcal meningitis associated with pyogenic arthritis in a 37-year old male patient. Pyogenic arthritis developed in right knee joint during treatment for meningococcal meningitis. He was treated successfully by appropriate antibiotics and arthroscopic irrigation. To our knowledge, such a rare case has not ever been reported in Korea, Hence we report this case with a review of related literatures.

15種의 重砂 成分鑛物의 水酸化나트륨에 依한 反應性을 約 700℃의 溫度範圍限度에서 두粒度範圍: 72/300 mesh, -300 mesh에 걸쳐 D.T.A.方法으로 調査하였다. D.T.A. 試驗에는 粘土鑛物에 使用했던 在來式裝置에서 sample holder만 알카리에 耐蝕性이 좋은 純銀塊로 改造 置換하여 使用하였다. 調査對象의 鑛物은 11種의 經濟性 高價鑛物(모나즈石, 지르콘石, 코롬브石, 鐵滿俺重石, 金紅石, 제노타임, 灰重石, 燐灰石, 크롬鐵鑛, 티탄鐵鑛, 錫石)과 4種의 脈石鑛物(石英, 電氣石, 石榴石, 赤鐵鑛)이 包含되어 있다. D. T .A 熱曲線으로 부터 錫石, 티탄鐵鑛, 赤鐵鑛을 除外한 大部分의 鑛物들이 調査溫度範圍內에서 모두 反應性을 나타내었고 두 部類의 獨特한 反應溫度 卽 NaOH의 融點보다 퍽 낮은 溫度範圍(150∼250℃ 特히 微粒鑛物)와 融點直前後(300∼350℃)와 集中되어 있음을 알게 되었다. 各鑛物의 反應性을 한눈으로 볼 수 있도록 여러 鑛物에서 얻은 結果는 各熱曲線上에 나타난 反應 peak를 土臺로 圖式表現으로 綜合하였다. The reactivity of 15 component minerals of beach sands with sodium hydroxide has been investigated by means of differential thermal analysis in a temperature range up to∼700℃ in two size ranges: 72/300 and -300 mesh fractions. A modified metallic sample holder made of pure silver was employed along with a conventional D. T. A. set-up. The minerals include eleven economic minerals (monazite, zircon, columbite, wolframite, rutile, xenotime, scheelite, apatite, chromite, ilmenite, cassiterite) and four associated gangue minerals(quartz, tourmaline, garnet, hematite). The D. T. A. thermograms showed that all the minerals except cassiterite, ilmenite and hematite reacted within the temperature range considered. Two typical reaction temperatures were observed: one in the temperature range below the m. p. of NaOH(157∼250℃, most of fine minerals) and the other on the melting(300∼350℃). A graphical summary of the test results according to the reaction peaks has been established to visualize the reactivity of the groups of minerals.
