        TWO-Point Reactor Kinetics for Large D$_2$O Reflected Systems

        다량의 중수반사체를 가진 조밀한 노심에서는 핵분열시 발생하는r선과 중수소와의 (r,n) 반응에 의해 지발 광중성자가 다량 생성되므로 이러한 계통을 기술하기 위하여 광중성자와 그 모핵종의 공간적 분리에 역점을 두어 2-점노 운동방정식을 정립하였다. 여러 반응도를 주입하여 출력 천이를 모사계산하므로써 노심과 반사체사이의 관련 효과를 조사하였다. 이 모델에 의한 모사계산 결과와 공간 종속 운동방정식에 의한 계산결과를 비교하였다. 반사체 영역에서의 광중성자 효과가 포함되므로써, 이를 포함하지 않은 모델에 비해 출력 천이현상을 감소시켰다. 실제로 출력을 측정하는 계측기는 이러한 공간적 분리영 향을 제거하기 위하여 노심 내부에 위치하여야 한다. Two-point kinetic equations for a compact-core-with-bulky-D$_2$O-reflector system were developed. A unique feature of the system is that certain fission gammas create retarded photoneutrons in the D$_2$O reflector by (r, n) reaction. Coupling effect between the core and the reflector was investigated by simulating power transients with various ramp reactivity insertions. Special attention was paid to the phenomenon associated with spatial separation of photoneutrons and their precursors. Simulations show that accuracy of the two-point model is comparable with that of space-dependent approach. Also it is found that the explicily expressed photoneutron terms in the reflector equation slow down the power transient compared to non-photoneutron expressions. Detectors for reactor power control purpose prefer to be deployed in the core zone to be able to accurately perdict transient power.

        Numerical Calculation of λ-Mode of the Diffusion Equation

        중성자 확산 방정식의λ -mode를 구하는 반복 계산법을 정립하였고, 이 방법을 이용한 2군, 3차원 전산 코드 MOGEN을 개발하였다. 2차원 직각형 균질 원자로에 대해 계산을 수행하여, 생산된 고유치와 고유함수가 해석해에 잘 일치함을 보여 코드의 정확도를 검증하였다. 실제 CANDU형 포준 원자로의 2차원 mode를 생산하였고, 이는 기존의 mode특성을 정확히 나타내었다. 마지막으로, λ-mode의 응용분야에 대하여 간략히 설명하였다. A successive iteration method to calculate the λ-modes of the diffusion equation was developed. The 2-group, 3-dimensional computer code MOGEN was developed to implement this method, The accuracy of the method was demonstrated using 2-dimensional bare homogeneous rectangular reactor. The numerical solution shows good agreement with the analytic solution in terms of eigenvalue and eigenfunction As for the standard CANDU-600 reactor, the 2-dimensional modes were generated and these represent the conventional mode characteristics well. Finally, application of theλ-mode in reactor engineering problems is described briefly.

        불인성 미골통에 Caudal Epidural Steroid 이용

        Coccygodynia is a pain syndrome resulting from trauma, fractures, infection and tumor, and is usually amenable to conservative treatment. We present one case of coccygodynia that de- veloped 2 days after percutaneous cordotomy done for pain control of cervix cancer unrespon- sive to conservative treatment which subsequently was treated with a caudal injection of lido- caine and triamcinolone. Caudal epidural steroid injection is less invasive and has less potential for complication than the neurosurgical interruption of the pain pathway.

        경막외 Droperidol 투여로 발생한 Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome - 1예 보고 -

        N/A The neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) is an uncommon but dangerous complication of treatment with neuroleptic drugs. This syndrome is characterized by autonomic dysfunction, extrapyramidal dysfunction, and hyperthermia. NMS seems more frequent with parentral neuroleptic use. We report a patient in whom suspicious NMS was developed in the ward after epidural administration of 2. 5mg of droperidol with morphine for postoperative pain control. Extrapyramidal symptoms and autonomic dysfunction were treated with diazepam, but tem- perature was spontaneously deereased after l6 hours and 40 minute after receiving epidural droperidol.

        신장이식 마취 5 예의 경험

        This is a report of anesthesia for five cases of renal transplantation which was performed be tween February 1969 and August 1969 at St. Mary's Hospital, Catholic Medical College, Seoul, Korea. General of renal insufficiency of the operated cases were described. Operative technique were unilateral nephrectomy for three cases and bilateral nechprectomy with splenectomy for 2 cases ; Anesthesia was induced with epontol (propanidid) 250mgs i.v. and 4% halothane-oxygen and maintained with 1% halotbane-oxygen which was supplemented by nitrous oxide occasionally. 6% dextrose and lactated-Ringer's solution were infused. For transfusion, whole bleod was given to replace the operative blood loss. Dextran was also used to maintain adequate blood volume. Shortly before anastomosis of renal and femoral vessels, patients were haparinized. Fluids and electrolytes balance were studied pre-and post-operatively. Preoperatively, uremia and hyperpotassemia was corrected by several hemodyalysis. Urinary output after surgery showed a marked degree of diuresis up to 1800 ml/hr until second post-operative day. The special concern of anesthesia for kidney transplantation were: 1. Patients were suffering from severe uremia and metabolic disterbances. 2. Acidosis and hyperpotassemia should be corrected before surgery by hemo-or peritoneal dialysis. 3. Immunosuppressive agents made the patient less resistant to infection. 4. Anemia and hydrops was difficult to be corrected before surgery. 5. Muscle relaxants of choice were depolarizing agents, because of impaired renal excretion.
