Construction industries is a labor intensive industries. According to Korea Productivity Center, most OECD members indicate high labor productivity more than Korea labor productivity in construction industries. First of all, work efficiency should be improved, to increase labor productivity. Because the characteristic of construction work is a labor intensive, it is a important that the laborers should conduct effectively work. Also, as work condition has a influence on laborers and work process, work condition has a great influence on work efficiency and labor productivity. However, management of work condition is not easy in construction site, because work condition has a large number and variety of elements, such as materials, labor and equipments. Therefore the purpose of this study is to analyze quantitative analysis on the relationship between Work Condition and Work Efficiency

In this study, the concept of safety impact assessment to achieve `Design-for-Safety` in design phase is introduced. For this purpose, safety impact assessment model was devised and a methodology using the risk-based safety impact assessment approach for NATM of tunnel projects is suggested. The suggested methodology includes safety information survey, classification of safety impact factors caused by design and construction, and quantitative estimation of magnitude and frequency of safety impact factors. A real-world case study on the safety impact assessment of a tunnel construction project is also provided in the paper.
