글로벌 기업 영어 콘텐츠를 활용한 대학 영어 교육 사례연구

This research aims to design and conduct a case study of application of a global corporation’s English progrmme to college English presentation classes. It also explores how a global corporation’s English curriculum is implemented inside the university language programme. In order to do that, this study adopted Shin et al.’s(2018) storytelling-based curriculum, Kim’s (2019) action research on a global corporation’s English storytelling programme, and Shin and Kim’s (2019) principles of curriculum-based dynamic assessment. Thirty-two students were joined in the research and taught by the researcher during the autumn semester of 2020 language course. This course consisted of three procedures: pre-test, intervention and post-test. According to participants’ various reactions to classroom activities, each lesson was revised and conducted, including the researcher’s reflections on the curriculum and learners’ feedback on teaching. As a result of post-test, learners’ presentation performance was improved in terms of verbal/non-verbal presentation skills and English speaking confidence, compared to the pre-test result. It was found that the use of a global corporation’s English curriculum may be effective in learner-centered teaching and learning. It is suggested that there is a need for investigating more teachable, assessable and manageable procedures and guidelines to apply to university English courses.

Nearly 800,000 new colorectal cancer cases are believed to be occur each year, which account for approximately 10% of all incident cancers, and mortality from colorectal cancer is estimated at nearly 450,000 per year. We report one patient with rectal cancer of stage III. The patient had a rectal cancer(StageIII T3N2M0) and underwent low anterior resection in 2004 followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Lymph node metastases were found in 2005 and the patient was treated by palliative chemotherapy, which could not supress the lymph node metastases increase. The patient visited Kyunghee University East-West Neo Medical Center(KHNMC) in 2006 and was treated using allergen-removed Rhus Verniciflua Stokes(aRVS). Radiotherapy was done simultaneously in 2006. There was no evidence of recurrence since then. The patient showed no side effects. This case report brings forth the importance of a thorough study in rectal cancer in the traditional Korean medical point of view, along with the long-term effect of aRVS.

The aim of this study is to extract attributes of web contents which is the criteria of tourism information websites served by the metropolitan cities, to present the effective ways of the practical use of tourism information web sites, and to construct systematic tourism information. Five dimensions of the web contents attributes factors evaluating tourism information website and measuring satisfaction level of the website`s menu items are convenience for navigation, simplicity of the webpage structure, substantiality in the information content, information quality, and additional customer service. These five dimensions of the web contents attributes factors are distinguished by a difference of their importance levels according to the menu items of the tourism information web site and by a difference of their influence levels to the satisfaction of the menu items. Based on influence factors from the empirical analysis this study suggests how metropolitan cities re-construct the new maximum user-friendly tourism information websites and activate effectively.

In order to find out the characteristics of the landscape terrain developed around the waterfront and the relationship between buildings, this study first defines the meaning and architectural characteristics of the landscape concept as continuity interrelationship and uncertainty, and compares and analyzes river and sea cases. In the case of the river, Hunter"s Point South Waterfront Park, Hudson River Park Segment, and the sea are Yokohama Port Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal, and Olympic Spectrum Park, and how each type has a tendency and development plan.
글로벌 기업의 영어 스토리텔링 교육에서 역동적 평가 활용 : 학습자 내러티브 정체성 중심으로

This study aims to explore dynamic assessment of a global corporation’s English storytelling programme, focusing on learner narrative identity development. Five participants employed at the global corporation were joined in the study and taught by the researcher during the spring semester 2018 of the global corporation’s language programme. The dynamic assessment procedure consists of module-based classroom activities including teaching and assessing. The research shows that the dynamic assessment was effective in that learners’ overall narrative identities including narrative level and response were developed as the module learning continued. However, the reflective element of narrative needs to be taught explicitly. The results have implications for future research of developing narrative identity-based dynamic assessment applicable to classroom assessment for improving learners’ narrative identity in high stakes language test preparation. 본 연구의 목적은 글로벌 기업의 영어 스토리텔링 교육 현장에 역동적 평가 절차(Resendiz & Pena, 2015; 신동일, 김나희, 2019)활용 사례로 학습 과정의 한국인 성인 학습자 영어 말하기 변화를 내러티브 정체성(narrative identity)관점으로 탐색하는 것이다. 글로벌 기업 A의 2018년 봄학기 정규 사내 영어 말하기 스토리텔링 프로그램(주 2회, 총 16차시)에서 연구자가 직접 교사로 참여하여 역동적 평가를 적용하였다. 역동적 평가 결과 학습자 내러티브 정체성 변화는 내러티브 발달 및 구술 활동 반응은 향상 되었지만 내러티브 성찰 요소는 개인의 구술 특징으로 나타났으며 이는 명시적으로 학습될 필요가 있었다. 연구 결과를 통해서 영어 내러티브 구술 교육의 역동적 평가 활용 유용성은 학습 목표에 집중된 교육과 학습자 발달 과정의 진단이다. 교육과 평가 활동이 연계되어 학습자 중심의 교육 평가를 가능하게 하며, 특히 본 연구에서는 학습자 발화 변화를 내러티브 정체성 관점으로 분석하여 내러티브 구술 교육에서 영어 구술 능숙도 뿐만 아니라 구술 활동 시 학습자 반응과 성찰적 요소 변화를 탐색할 수 있었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 추후 연구에서 교실 현장의 교사가 직접 진행 할 수 있는 학습자 내러티브 정체성 기반의 역동적 평가 개발 및 적용이 필요하다. 원어민 중심의 모방, 암기 위주의 표현 학습이 팽배한 언어 교육 및 시험 응시 전략 중심의 획일적인 고부담 언어 시험 준비 현장에 교사 주도의 역동적 평가가 사용되어 현장 개선 사례로 꾸준히 보고될 필요가 있다.
한국인 재색 피부병(Ashy Dermatosis) 74례의 임상 및 조직학적 특징 분석

Background: Ashy dermatosis is a disorder of pigmentation, characterized by asymptomatic symmetric blue-graycolored macules of unknown pathophysiology. Objective: Our aim was to evaluate ashy dermatosis in Koreans and to describe its clinical and histopathological features. Methods: Medical records, photographs, and biopsy specimens obtained from 74 patients were assessed. Results: Of the 74 patients, 38 were men and 36 were women. Clinically, most patients showed lesions on the trunk (83.8%), followed by the extremities (44.6%). At the time of the mean age was 29.9 years, and disease duration was 18.4 months before the institution. We tentatively classified the lesions into the following 3 groups: generalized confluent, generalized macular, and localized type. Clinically, the most common lesion was the generalized macular type (67.6%). Peripheral erythematous borders or concomitant erythematous lesions were observed in 18 patients (24.3%). Histopathologically, the lesions showed perivascular inflammation, dermal melanophages, and pigmentary incontinence. Conclusion: Our study classified ashy dermatosis into 3 groups, and this categorization may contribute to a better understanding of ashy dermatosis. (Korean J Dermatol 2018;56(5):301∼307)
스토리텔링에서 나타난 결속성 및 일관성 특성 연구 - 어린이 영어학습자를 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to investigate the features of discourse coherence and cohesion in young learners’ storytelling samples. 27 samples from three storytelling tasks were analyzed: personal photo description, wordless picture book narration and story stem. This study explored what kinds of cohesive markers (reference, conjunction, lexical) were frequently used in storytelling. Also, global dimension of coherence was examined in each sample. It was found that most young learners made more cohesive and coherent stories in the task of story stem. Personal markers and additive conjunctions were frequently used while other markers seldom appeared.
