우리나라는 1990년대 이후 결혼이민자의 증가로 인해서 다문화가족이 급증하였다. 한국인 남자와 외국인 여자와의 국제결혼이 급증하면서 우리 사회에서 다문화가족은 다양한 가족의 한 형태로 자리 잡았다. 우리나라 전체 혼인 건수에서 차지하는 국제결혼의 비율은 2006년 최고치를 기록하고 조금씩 감소하는 추세를 보이고 있고 2020년 코로나19로 인해 더 많은 감소세를 보이고 있다. 결혼이주여성인 안정적인 한국 정착에 대한 중요성은 이주를 위해 국제결혼으로 유입된 결혼이주여성 한국 사회의 한 구성원으로서 권리를 인정받을 수 있어야 하기 때문이다. 한국 정착을 위한 문화 예술 활동에 대한 실태를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 결혼이주여성은 다양한 문화권에서 좀 더 안정적인 삶을 위해서 한국으로 이주한 경우로 문화 적응에 대한 스트레스가 내적 갈등이 이주노동자나 단기 목적으로 한국에 다녀가는 외국인과는 구별된다는 것이다. 언어소통과 문화적인 차이는 그들의 한국 정착에 장애가 되지 않도록 그들의 초기 정착을 위한 언어소통과 한국 사회의 질서 및 생활교육이 우선시 되어야 한다는 것이다. 이러한 교육을 다양한 문화권에서 온 결혼이주여성에게 적용 가능한 실질적인 교재 개발이나 교수법의 연구가 되어야 할 것이다. 둘째, 결혼이주여성은 한국 정착에 대한 의지가 타 외국인보다 강하므로 문화 예술 활동에 임하는 자세는 적극적이나 그들을 둘러싸고 있는 가족과 주변 환경이 자유로운 활동에 제한을 두는 것을 없애기 위해서 가족이나 그들을 둘러싸고 있는 지역사회 및 매체까지도 다문화에 대한 인식 교육이 필요하다. 언어적 비언어적인 표현을 통해서 결혼이주여성을 바라보는 시선이 여타 선주민을 대하는 것과 다르지 않도록 지속적이고 구체회 된 교육 진행이 방법이 될 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 결혼이주여성이 경험한 선주민과의 활동은 다문화 수용성을 높이고 그로 인해 그들이 보다 안정적인 한국 정착에 긍정적인 사례의 통계를 알 수 있다. 다문화에 대한 수용성 지수를 높이는 계획을 세우고 인식개선 교육과 더불어 선주민과 함께 할 수 있는 문화 예술 활동에 대한 연구와 지원이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the immediate effects of negative pressure soft tissue therapy on muscle tone, muscle stiffness and balance in patients with stroke. In total, 20 patients with stroke and assigned to the negative pressure soft tissue therapy group (NPST, n=10) or, placebo-negative pressure soft tissue therapy group(Placebo-NPST, n=10). Both groups underwent NPST or placebo-NPST once a day during the experimental period. MyotonPRO was used to assess the parameters for muscle tone and stiffness. Biorescue was used to assess the parameters for balance. Each group showed improvements in muscle tone, muscle stiffness, and balance ability (p<.05). Especially, Muscle tone, muscle stiffness, and anterior length in the limit of stability were the significant improvement on NPST group (p<.05). The results of the study suggest that the NPST is effective in improving muscle tone, muscle stiffness, and balance ability in patients with stroke.

PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of the resistance levels on the muscle activities around the hip and spine during bridge exercise with hip abduction resistance in patients with chronic back pain. METHODS: A cross-over study design was used. Twenty subjects with low back pain were enrolled in this study. The subjects performed bridge exercises with hip abduction resistances (20 mmHg, 40 mmHg, and 60 mmHg). A Narrow Sling was used to provide resistance. Surface electromyography was used to measure the activity of the erector spinae, biceps femoris, gluteus maximus, and gluteus medius. RESULTS: The muscle activity of the gluteus maximus and gluteus medius increased significantly with increasing resistance levels. There was a significant difference in the muscle activity of the biceps femoris with a resistance level between 20 mmHg and 40 mmHg, but there was no significant difference in the other resistance levels. There was no significant difference according to resistance level in the erector spinae. The muscle activity ratios of the gluteus medius/erector spinae and gluteus maximus/erector spinae increased significantly with increasing resistance strength. CONCLUSION: The different levels of abduction resistance for hip abduction during bridge exercise will help activate the gluteus maximus selectively in patients with chronic back pain.

Background: The increase in the activity of the upper trapezius (UT) muscle and decrease in the activity of the serratus anterior (SA) and lower trapezius (LT) muscle produce an abnormal scapulohumeral rhythem. Therefore, the SA is the focus of therapeutic exercise protocols for the rehabilitation. This study aimed to compare the activity of the muscles according to resistance levels during protraction exercise. Methods: Thirteen healthy 20 to 30 years old male and female subjected participated in the study. All subjects performed the scapular protraction exercise with the weights of 0, 5, and 10㎏, combined with horizontal shoulder abduction and adduction. The electromyography data of the SA, UT, and pectoralis major (PM) during the exercise were recorded using surface electrodes. The ratios of PM/SA and UT/SA were calculated. Repeated one-way ANOVA was used to determine the statistical significance. Results: There was a significant difference in the muscle activity of the SA and PM (p<.05). Specifically, SA had the highest activity and PM had the lowest activity at an abduction resistance 10㎏ (p<.01). There was a significant difference in the ratios of UT/SA and PM/SA (p<.05). The ratio of PM/SA was the lowest at the abduction resistance of 10㎏ (p<.01). Conclusion: According to this study, for the selective activation of the serratus anterior, protraction exercises should be applied as a method of adding resistance to protraction and horizontal abduction.
앉은 자세에서의 목안정화운동과 PNF 목 패턴이 거북목증후군 성인의 목 정렬, 목 장애지수 및 정적균형에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of neck stabilization exercise with PNF for neck alignment, neck disability index, and sitting balance in adults with forward-head posture. Methods: Forty participants were randomly assigned to two groups. Patients in the neck stabilization exercise group (NSG, n = 20) and the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation neck pattern exercise group (PNFG, n = 20) were studied 30 minutes a day three times a week for four weeks. Outcomes were measured using cranial vertical angle (CVA), the Korean version of the neck disability index (KNDI), anterior limit of stability (ALOS), and posterior limit of stability (PLOS) before and after the intervention period. Results: There were significant effects in the CVA and the KNDI of both groups pre- and post-intervention. There were significant effects in ALOS and PLOS in the PNFG pre- and post-intervention compared with the NSG. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that PNF with neck exercise could be beneficial to the static balance of adults with forward-head posture.
한 다리 서기 동안 매끈눈따라보기와 신속눈운동이 균형과 근활성도에 미치는 영향

PURPOSE: This study is examined the effects of vestibular stimulation through eye movement on balance and muscle activity. METHODS: In 42 healthy adults, no eye exercise was applied to both feet and one foot. The speed of smooth pursuit eye movement (.2 Hz, .3 Hz, and .5 Hz) and saccadic eye movement (.5 Hz and 1.1 Hz) were randomized. The measurements were taken three times for 30 seconds while standing on two feet and measured three times for 10 seconds while standing on one foot. The muscle activity measurement equipment was used to measure the electromyogram signals of the tibialis anterior, peroneus longus, gastrocnemius medialis, vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, biceps femoris, abdominal internal oblique, and erector spinae muscle. RESULTS: As a result of this study, when applying smooth pursuit eye movement on one leg, the pressure center movement increased, the muscle activity of the lower extremity increased, in the saccadic eye movement, and the center of pressure decreased. CONCLUSION: Accordingly, the smooth pursuit of eye movement, the intervention of this study, affects balance. Through this, the balance can be improved by applying eye movement to the target who needs to improve the balance ability.
