In proportion as the automotive industry needs more and more electronic devices, the reported NTF(no trouble found) failures of the electronic components are rapidly increasing. Mechanisms that cause failures of electronic components are various and mainly related to electrical stress, such as current, voltage and power. The reliability of electronic components can also affect the reliability of electronic equipment and automobile system. In this paper, we introduce derating design, thermal analysis and TAAF(Test, Analyze, and Fix) examples to improve the reliability of electronic components and automobile electronic equipments.

Introduction : Superior semicircular canal dehiscence (SSCD) syndromes are characterized by tinnitus, noise- and pressure- induced vertigo, and autophony. Surgical repair of the dehiscence is the principal treatment for the patients suffering disabling symptoms. In this study, we evaluated the surgical outcome of SSCD repair via middle fossa approach (MFA). Materials and Methods : 5 patients who underwent SSCD repair via MFA were recruited. Median age of patients was 42 years (37-45) and median follow-up duration after surgery was 39.5 months (12.8-97.2). Clinical symptoms (autophony, aural fullness, hearing loss, imbalance, sound, pressure induced vertigo, and tinnitus), audiometry, vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP), and electrocochleography (ECoG) were evaluated before and after surgery. Results : Sensorineural hearing loss was developed after surgery in 1 patient. In the remaining 4 patients, there were air-bone gap at lower frequency range due to lowered bone conduction threshold below 0dB, which were normalized after surgery. VEMP threshold was significantly improved after surgery (preoperative: 49 dB, postoperative: 79 dB, p=0.04). SP/AP ratio of ECoG was also improved after surgery, but it could not reach statistical significance due to small number (preoperative: 0.58, postoperative: 0.26, p=0.068). Conclusion : Most of subjective symptoms were relieved after SSCD repair via MFA. Hypersensitive bone conduction threshold, air-bone gap, VEMP threshold and SP/AP ratio of ECoG were normalized after successful repair of SCD.
증례 : 소화기 ; 내시경 점막하 박리술 시행 후 발생한 급성 봉소염성 위염을 항생제로 치료한 1예

급성 봉소염성 위염은 과도한 음주, 면역 저하 상태 혹은 위 점막의 광범위한 손상이 있는 경우에 발생하는 화농성 세균 감염질환으로 빈도는 매우 드물지만 사망률이 높은 질환이다. 저자들은 위선종 치료를 위해 시행한 내시경 점막하 박리술 후에 발생한 급성 봉소염성 위염을 수술 없이 항생제만으로 치료에 성공한 증례를 경험하여 이를 보고한다. Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is widely used to treat a variety of gastric lesions including early gastric cancer and gastric adenoma. Bleeding and perforation are the most common complications of ESD. However, a rare and fatal bacterial stomach infection, termed acute phlegmonous gastritis, can also develop after ESD. We treated a patient with a high fever who complained of severe abdominal pain after ESD. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) revealed a diffuse, submucosal, minimally attenuated lesion and mucosal irregularity. The clincial presentation and the CT findings were compatible with acute phlegmonous gastritis and the patient was successfully treated with antibiotics alone. The case is worth reporting because acute phlegmonous gastritis is a very rare complication of ESD. (Korean J Med 2016;90:127-131)
BTE Work Simulator와 Jamar Dynamometer를 이용한 정상인의 악력, 측면파악력 및 삼점파악력의 측정

Recently, increased emphasis has been placed on the need for rehabilitation professionals to objectively evaluate a patient's potential for a return to normal function. But, as the medical recovery nears completion, additional questions are commonly asked by physicians regarding work function and ability to return to full active employment. In the past, therapists have attempted to reestablish the work situation using real tools, however, these machines are expensive, spaces are limited, and it is potentially dangerous as well in some cases. A BTE (Baltimore Therapeutic Equipment) Work Simulator overcomes these shortcomings. It can be used for isometric and isotonic evaluation and treatment, it also assists in providing information needed to make determinations on the progress in therapy, return-to-work status and job modifications. We planned to obtain data on normative isometric, dynamic strength and endurance of grip, lateral pinch and three point pinch using BTE Work Simulator model WS20 and to compare these data with Jamar Dynamometers set which measure only isometric strength. We also compared these data between ages and sexes. This study will be helpful in clinical applications of the BTE Work Simulator in providing more specific job-related occupational therapy and developing special vocational rehabilitation program.
