Vol.23 No.4

처리구는 다음과 같다. 1) Antibiotic (basal diet + 0.05% chlortetracycline). 2) Anti-Free (basal diet), 3) FOS (basal diet + 6% fructooligosaccharides), 4) Chitosan (basal diet + 0.3% chitosan) and 5) NIS (baal diet + 30g/㎏ Nonspecific Immunostimulating Anionic Alkali Solution). 150 three cross-bred ((Landrace × Large White) × Duroc) pigs with average body weight of 20.1 ± 0.43㎏ (experiment I) and 53.8 ± 0.76㎏ (experiment II) were used as experimental subjects respectively. Pigs were allocated to the treatments in completely randomized block design based on body weight. Treatments were 1) Antibiotic (basal diet + 0.05% chlortetracycline), 2) Anti-Free (basal diet), 3) FOS (basal diet + 6% fructooligosaccharides), 4) Chitosan (basal diet + 0.03% chitosan) and 5) NIS (basal diet + 0.3 Nonspecific Immunostimulating Anionic Alkali Solution). Each treatment had 6 replicates with 5 pigs per replicate. In experiment I, ADG and ADFI were higher in Antibiotic group than others, but there were no significant differences, and pigs fed FOS grew more efficiently. Nutrients digestibility and excretion were not significantly different among all treatments except P digestibility. During finishing period (experiment II), pigs fed Antibiotic showed best ADG (P<0.05), and grew more efficiently than others. But, pigs fed Chitosan and NIS were not significantly different with Antiobiotic group in ADG during entire experimental period. Among all treatments, nutrients digestibility was not significantly different, except crude ash digestibility during early and late finishing period. And, FOS group showed best result on nutrients excretion during early finishing period. In carcass characteristics, pigs fed Antibiotic showed highest slaughter weight, carcass weight and carcass grade. Carcass percentage and backfat thickness were better in pigs fed Chitosan. In these study, antibiotic supplementation showed the best growing performance, but not significantly different in pigs fed fructooligosaccharides and chitosan. So, from these results, it may be concluded that fructooligosaccharides and chitosan have possibility as alternative substances of antibiotics in the diets of growing and finishing pigs.

Vol.42 No.1

An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of mannanoligosaccharide, yucca extract and β-glucan on growth performance, nutrients digestibility and amino acid digestibility and to develop antibiotics-free diet in growing pigs. A total of 150 crossbred pigs ((Landrace×Large White)×Duroc) initially averaging 19.09 ㎏ BW were used in this experiment for 42 days. The five dietary treatments were Antifree group (negative control, basal diet), Anti group (positive control, basal diet + 0.04% chlortetracycline, CTC-125^ⓡ JEIL VET. CHEM. Co. Ltd., CTC), MOS group (basal diet + 0.1% mannanoligosaccharide, BIO-MOS^ⓡ, Alltech Inc.), YE group (basal diet + 0.0125% yucca extract, Fibergest^ⓡ, P. S. F Organic Inc.) and GLC group (basal diet + 0.1% β-glucan, Macrogard^ⓡ, Biomaczymal Co., Norway). During day 0∼14, although there were no significant differences, Anti goup showed numerical advantage in the average daily gain (ADG) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) compared to other treatments. During day 15∼28, Anti group also showed numerical improvement in weight gain and FCR compared to other treatments. During day 29∼42, Antifree group showed lower average daily feed intake (ADFI) than MOS group (P$lt;0.05). During day 0∼42, Antifree group also showed lower ADFI than MOS group (P$lt;0.05). Anti group showed lower FCR than MOS group (P$lt;0.05). Among all the treatments, there were no significant differences in the digestibility of dry matter, gross energy, crude protein and crude fat. However MOS group improved (P$lt;0.05) the phosphorus and ash digestibility. The digestibility of essential amino acids was significantly affected (P$lt;0.05) by treatments except that of threonine, leucine and lysine. The digestibility of non-essential amino acids was significantly affected by treatments except that of glutamate, alanine and total non-essential amino acid (P$lt;0.05). Total feed cost per total weight gain was lower in Anti group than MOS and GLC group (P$lt; 0.05). YE group also showed lower (P$lt;0.05) TFC/TWG compared Eo MOS and GLC groups.

        배국환(K . H . Bae),고태구(T . G . Ko),김지훈(J . H . Kim),조원탁(W . T . Cho),한영근(Y . K . Han),한인규(In K .

This study was conducted to develop an antibiotic-free diet for finishing pigs. A total of 150 crossbred pigs (Landrace x Duroc x Large White) initially averaging 68.0 ㎏ BW were used in this experiment. Pigs rare allotted into 5 treatments based on body weight and sex. The five dietary treatments were negative control (basal diet), positive control (basal diet + 0.04% chlortetracycline, CTC-125^ⓡ JEIL VET. CHEM. Co. Ltd.), MOS group (basal diet + 0.1% mannanoligosaccharide, BIO-MOS^ⓡ Alltech Inc.), YE group (basal diet + 0.0125% yucca extract, Fibergest^ⓡ P. S. F Organic Inc.) and GLU group (basal diet + 0.1% β-glucan, Macrogard^ⓡ JEIL VET. CHEM. Co. Ltd.). During phase I, pigs fed diets containing YE showed the best average daily gain (ADG), which is significantly higher than that of pigs fed the antibiotic-free or GLU diet, while there were no significant differences in ADG, ADFI and F/G among other treatments. Pigs fed antibiotics showed better feed utilization than pigs fed the antibiotic-free diet (P$lt; 0.10). Overall, ADG of pigs fed the YE diet was the best and that of pigs fed GLU was the worst. Pigs fed antibiotics showed better feed utilization (P$lt; 0.10) than pigs fed the antibiotic-free diet and pigs fed additive supplemented diets (YE, MOS, GLU) tended to show better feed utilization (p = 0.11). There were no significant differences in nutrient digestibilities and carcass traits among treatments.
