음악영재 교육대상자 선발을 위한 수업 내용 및 평가 방안

대부분의 음악영재교육대상자 선발은 1회의 오디션을 통해 `성취된 결과`만을 중심으로 평가되며 이루어진다. 음악영재란 또래 아이들에 비해 음악적 능력이 뛰어나고 음악적 잠재력이 크며 음악에 대한 강한 열정과 동기를 가진 아동이다. 음악영재를 선발하기 위해서는 그들이 가진 음악적 능력이나 잠재성을 평가자와 학생의 상호작용을 통해 다양한 요소와 관점에서 평가해야하며 그 보완적 방안으로 수업관찰평가를 들 수 있다. 이는 음악 영재성을 드러난 현상만을 중심으로 인위적으로 평가하는 것이 아니라, 전체적인 맥락을 고려하여 음악적 잠재성이 자연스레 드러나는 것을 평가의 중요한 관점으로 다루는 것으로 음악영재의 선발을 위해 필요한 하나의 과정이라고 본다. 본 연구는 음악영재 교육대상자 선발을 위해 먼저 음악적 영재성 또는 음악적 능력을 다양한 요소와 범주로 나누고 이를 평가하기 위한 수업 내용을 교수·학습 활동으로 구성하였으며 수업관찰을 통하여 평가할 수 있도록 평가표를 제시하였다. 성취된 결과만을 중심으로 음악영재를 선발하는 방식을 극복하기 위해 음악영재성에 내포된 요소들을 종합적으로 평가할 수 있는 수업관찰평가가 실제 음악영재선발과정에 적용될 수 있어야 하겠다. The purpose of this study is to look a better method in selecting gifted children in music. Gifted children in music have an outstanding ability in music comparing with a group about young one`s age. They have three abilities: musical ability, ability to perform musical tasks, musical creativity. Musical ability includes musical sense, aesthetic understanding and expressivness, musical creativity, and motivation in music. Musical Ability of gifted children in music needs to be evaluated in a many-faceted perspective and the overall context. Most school for gifted children in music is selecting them by evaluating through one-time audition focused on an instrumental skill or accomplished outcome. Because a method of evaluation through music class includes the comprehensive overall process to measure musical ability and potential by observing interaction between teacher and students, it, as a better method, can be applied for selecting gifted children in music.

우리 주변에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 문양과 음악에서 다양한 수학적 요소를 발견할 수 있다. 특히, 대칭 등의 수학적 개념을 활용하면 다양한 예술 작품을 보다 쉽게 만들어 낼 수 있다. 바흐의 음악, 레오나르도 다 빈치의 미술 작품에서부터 우리나라의 도자기, 궁궐, 전통 의상 등에 사용된 문양 중에는 대칭을 활용하여 만들어진 예술 작품이 많다. 이 연구에서는 대칭을 통해 음악과 미술 작품을 분석하고 활용하여 음악과 미술 작품을 만들고 이를 융합 교육 현장에 활용할 수 있는 한 가지 방안으로 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 수학적 개념을 매개로 디자인이 음악으로 어떻게 표현되는지 구체적으로 살피고 융합 교육에 활용할 수 있는 예를 만들어 QR-코드로 제시한다. Mathematics(group theory, in particular) makes it partially possible to present and create music and patterns. This means that patterns can be presented by music through mathematics. In this work, we first produce musical piece for each type of frieze patterns. Based on the musical pieces, we compose a music presenting the combined pattern of all frieze types. We finally produce a video for hearing design through music. Through a QR-code, anyone can access the product of this work. The results of this research might be examples for integration of mathematics and arts and for utilizing smart circumstances.
