Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze research trends in age-friendly research and suggest directions for future research. Methods: For this study, 112 articles related to age-friendly research were selected, from 605 published articles in The Korean Journal of Health Service Management (2007-2018). Content analysis and text network analysis were conducted using SPSS 23.0 and NetMiner 4. Results: First, 2 authors (30.4%) and 4 keywords (45.5%) were the most studied. Most of the studies used quantitative research (93.8%). Primary data (61.9%) and SPSS (77.7%) were the most used for analysis. Second, there were seven common keywords in the top 10 in all the centralities. They were Elderly, Geriatric Hospital, Depression, Care Workers, Long-Term Care Facilities, Experience, and Attitude. Conclusions: This study shows the need for diversity of research topics, subjects, research methods, and analytical tools in future age-friendly related studies. In addition, it suggests activating convergence research in this field linked to various industries and services.

Objective : The present study is aimed at providing basic data to help oriental medical hospitals devise efficient operational plans by analyzing the medical expenses of in-patients in an oriental medical hospital and the factors affecting such expenses. Methods : PASW 18.0 was used to analyze the medical insurance program data of 929 patients who were discharged from a university oriental medical hospital(with 105 sick-beds) during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2010 after treatment under the coverage of health insurance and medical aid. Results : 1) Of all the patients hospitalized, 63.3% were females, their mean age was 52.73 years old, and 87.7% was covered by the health insurance program. The biggest number or 31.2% of the patients were treated by the department of acupuncture, 31.5% suffered mainly from the diseases of musculoskeletal system and connective tissues, and the average length of stay at the hospital was 19.49 days. 2) There were statistically significant differences in total medical expenses by age, clinical department in charge, principal diagnosis, and number of days hospitalized while daily average medical expenses differed depending on age, type of medical security, clinical department, principal diagnosis, and number of days staying at the hospital. 3) Total medical expenses were found significantly influenced by age, type of medical security, clinical department, principal diagnosis, and number of days hospitalized(explanatory power : 95.9%), whereas type of medical security, clinical department and principal diagnosis turned out to exercise significant influence on the daily average medical expenses(explanatory power : 26.9%). Conclusion : Oriental medical hospitals are suggested to make efforts to ensure geographical and economical accessibility for their main clients, the elderly and middle-aged, as well as to improve satisfaction of the clients with the medical service provided. They are also encouraged to work out systems to specialize in treatment with a focus on chronic degenerative and adult diseases. In addition, they are expected to try to enhance people's awareness of oriental medicine in an attempt to diversify the brackets of clients and increase frequency of their utilization.

Objectives: This study was to analyze the differences by individual characteristic of current health status, health-related preparation behavior for later life and health expectation in later life and to investigate the influences of the current health status upon health-related preparation behavior for later life and mediating effect of health expectation in later life. Methods: In this research, total 405 survey data were used to analyze the data after the survey was conducted targeting visitors from age 20 to 59 who came to the Mu-Ju Firefly Festival between June 1, 2013 and June 9, 2013. Results: There were some significant differences in type of current health status due to their gender, age, the status of economic activity, household income and the result was statistically significant in health expectation in later life and health-related preparation behavior for later life due to age, the status of economic activity and household income. The current health status influences positively on the health expectation in later life and health-related preparation behavior for later life and health expectation in later life showed positive mediating effect in relation between the current health status and health-related preparation behavior for later life. Conclusion: The level of health-related preparation for later life can be improved by raising the positive expectation about health for later life and by maintaining and improving the current health status through various health improvement programs according to individual characteristic and generation custom preparation for later life consulting programs.

Additive Manufacturing (AM) provides high degree of design freedom. This enables designers to fabricate complex geometries and enhance performance that cannot be achievable by conventional manufacturing. However, the high degree of design freedom from AM makes designers challenging to fully add design benefits from AM, because designers are not familiar with AM, which is new technology. In this study, we propose a bicycle helmet design process by considering AM capabilities. The objective of the helmet design is to redesign conventional bicycle helmet and then add new design benefits like lightweight and storage function, while keeping safety requirements of the conventional helmet. First, we analyze customer needs. Then, the customer needs are translated to engineering requirements. Lattice structure is utilized to achieve lightweight and safe helmet. Foldable structure of the helmet is proposed to make volume of helmet reduced and make the helmet as a storage of bicycle related items.

Objectives: To explore the effects of the elderly`s health status upon their stress and depression and to analyze the moderating effects of social supports to reduce stress and depression. Methods: The subjects of the study were 969 Koreans aged over 65 who have experiences of having been accommodated in social welfare facilities across the country and their responses were analyzed by using the PASW Statistics 18.0 program. Results: It was found from the analysis that 1) the better the health status of the elderly is, particularly when they have no physical chronic and acute illnesses, the lower their stress and depression become; 2) negative influence of self-rated health status and acute illnesses gets decreased as social supports are input. The more family and friend supports there are, the less stress and depression get and the stronger the influence of family supports becomes, whereas, however, supports by others function to increase stress. Conclusion It is suggested, first of all, to work out arrangements to intensify family supports and to provide practical service for the elderly after putting in operation of the program to form sufficient rapport between service providers and recipients.
