캠퍼스에서 개인화된 위치기반 서비스를 제공하기 위한 유비쿼터스 에이전트

최근 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅이 활발히 연구되고 있는 가운데, 사용자의 현재 상태를 파악하고 적절한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 위치 정보가 많이 활용되고 있다. 이러한 위치 정보를 연속적으로 이용함으로써, 사용자의 위치이동을 파악할 수 있으며 이러한 위치이동은 그 패턴에 따라 분류될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 대학 캠퍼스에서 사용자의 위치이동 패턴을 파악하여 그 패턴에 따라 사용자가 원하는 적절한 서비스를 제공하는 에이전트를 제안한다. 위치정보를 파악하기 위해 서는 GPS 위성신호를 이용하며, 위치이동패턴에 대한 학습은 SOM에 의하여 이루어진다. 사용자는 학습된 패턴을 확인하고 직접 서비스를 지정할 수 있으며, 지정된 서비스는 학습된 패턴과 같은 양상으로 예상되는 위치이동이 일어날 경우 자동적으로 제공된다.

The Interpretation of Linguistic Sarcasm

If politeness principles aim at maintaining a harmonious relationship among interlocutors, sarcasm targets the opposite end; it is designed to throw sarcastic accusation. Quite often, sarcasm is originated from Speaker. On occasions Hearer infers sarcasm out of Speaker's well-wishing utterances. In other times, Speaker's sarcasm is so blurry that Hearer cannot judge whether Speaker's utterance is sarcastic or not. This writer attempts to interpret linguistic sarcasm by illustrating different cases in which sarcasm is generated, transferred and interpreted. The first kind is Speaker-originated sarcasm. Speaker generates sarcasm and delivers it. Hearer interprets Speaker's sarcastic message as sarcasm. The second case refers to Hearer-originated sarcasm. Because of his or her own person hood or viewpoints of the world, Hearer infers sarcasm out of Speaker's innocuous utterances. The final case is the exploitation of ambiguity. Taking advantage of the linguistic ambiguity between sarcastic irony and banter, Speaker throws a punch of acerbic sarcasm. (165)

어머니의 정서표현성과 부정적 정서표현에 대한 반응이 아동의 정서지능에 미치는 영향

This study examines child emotional intelligence in relation to mother’s emotional expressiveness and reaction to child negative emotions. A sample of 352 children and mothers from 4 elementary schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi participated in the study. Child emotional intelligence and mother’s reaction to child negative emotions were evaluated by child-report, and mother’s emotional expressiveness was assessed by mother-report. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, two-way analysis of variances, Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analyses. The findings were as follows. First, mothers of boys showed more oversensitive-reaction to child negative emotions than mothers of girls. Mothers of 6th-graders showed more emotion-minimizing-reaction to child negative emotions than mothers of 5th-graders. Second, girls showed a higher level of overall emotional intelligence than boys. Girls showed a higher level of emotion expression and emotion regulation than boys. The 5th-graders showed higher level of emotion expression than 6th-graders; however, 6th graders showed a higher level of emotion perception than 5th-graders. Third, more emotion-coaching-reaction and less oversensitive-reaction by mothers predicted a better emotional intelligence of children. A mother’s appropriate emotional socialization behaviors associated with child emotional intelligence were discussed.

서혜부에 발생한 Itraconazole에 저항성 있는 Trichophyton rubrum에 의한 다발성 피하농양

Dermatophytes usually infect keratinized epithelial structures such as hair and nails. However, they can also cause deep and extensive fungal infections, especially in immunocompromised patients. We report a case with multiple dermal abscesses, which is a rare manifestation of Trichophyton rubrum infection. A 54-year-old man presented with multiple subcutaneous nodules in both inguinal areas with associated tinea cruris. Histopathological findings showed abscesses with fungal hyphae highlighted using Periodic acid-Schiff diastase (PAS-D) staining. Trichophyton rubrum was isolated on a fungal culture of the biopsy specimen obtained from a subcutaneous nodule in the inguinal area. The lesions were resistant to treatment with itraconazole (100 mg twice a day for 6 months); thus, we changed the drug to voriconazole (200 mg twice a day for 3 months). In addition, we extracted the remaining big lesions by incision and drainage. The patient was successfully treated with voriconazole and surgical method. (Korean J Dermatol 2017;55(6):360∼363)

Communication Strategies of Irony and Banter

How do we deal with the problem that the utterance `Have a happy holiday!` does not always express Speaker`s best wishes to Hearer? At the same time how can we comprehend the expression `You are a bad girl!` is not always an accusation toward the Hearer? This paper attempts to show that (according to the context of a dialogue) interlocutors employ irony and banter as effective communication strategies based on implicature and linguistic politeness. Irony works toward conveying only Speaker`s superficial politeness to Hearer, through which Speaker succeeds in avoiding conflicts with Hearer. In contrast, banter, though it appears impolite, works toward enhancing comity between Speaker and Hearer, so that Speaker`s sincere politeness is conveyed through the strategy. The data collected from a film script and a TV talk show is analyzed in order to prove that generally Speaker employs the strategy of either irony or banter in an attempt to establish or maintain a harmonious interpersonal relationship.

Hyalinizing Spitz nevus was first introduced in 1994 by Suster. It is considered a rare variant in the spectrum of Spitz nevus, with only a dozen cases having been reported to date. Herein we report a case of a 28-year-old Korean woman who had a brown papular lesion on the left palm, which was diagnosed as hyalinizing Spitz nevus. Upon histopathological investigation, discohesive growth patterns of nevus cells in a hyalinized stroma were noted. Immunohistochemical stains showed positive reactivity of nevus cells with S-100 protein and vimentin, but negative stains with HMB-45 and CD68. This case demonstrates a rare variant of Spitz nevus located on an unusual site, and calls for awareness in the diagnosis of cutaneous lesions that histologically exhibit a prominent hyalinized stroma. 어머니의 정서코칭 평가도구 개발 및 타당화 연구

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to construct and validate a questionnaire to assess emotion coaching of mothers with school-age children in Korea. Methods: A total of 573 mothers of children in the 1st~4th grade in elementary school in Seoul and Gyeonggi area participated in the study. Maternal emotion coaching, meta-emotion, and emotional intelligence were assessed by self-report. Data from sample 1 (n=349) were used to extract factors and items with exploratory factor analyses, and then data from sample 2 (n =244) were used to confirm factor structures with confirmatory factor analysis and estimate reliability statistics as well as validity coefficients. Results: First, the Maternal Emotion Coaching Questionnaire (MECQ) consisted of 26 items with five factors including maternal awareness, guidance, attention, acceptance, and empathy. Second, the MECQ demonstrated adequate internal consistency, split-half reliability and retest reliabilty. Third, maternal emotion coaching was strongly related to maternal empathic acceptance and sensitivity of awareness as well as emotional intelligence, which supported the construct validity. Conclusions: The results indicate that the MECQ is a valid and reliable scale to assess the level of maternal emotion coaching. The MECQ can be a useful tool in parent education to assess the strengths and weaknesses of specific components of maternal emotion coaching.

지능형 에이전트의 위치기반 서비스를 위한 사용자의 위치이동패턴 학습

사용자의 위치정보는 에이전트가 상황에 적합한 서비스를 제공하는데 중요하게 사용될 수 있으며 정확한 위치 추적 및 활용 방안에 대한 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그중에서 사용자의 다음 위치를 예측하는 것은 사용자에게 필요한 서비스를 명시적인 요청없이 미리 제공하는데 유용하게 쓰일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 GPS신호를 이용하여 사용자의 위치 이동경로를 학습하고 사용자의 이동에 기반한 서비스 제공 방법을 제안한다. GPS에 의해 관측된 위치 이동경로는 시간 순서의 데이터에 적합하도록 SOM을 변형한 RSOM과 마르코프 모델을 이용하여 학습되며, 새로 관측된 사용자 위치 데이터에 대해 다음 이동 패턴을 예측하는 기능을 가진다. 실제 캠퍼스에서 수집된 데이터를 이용하여 제안한 방법의 가능성을 평가한다.

AMP-activated Protein Kinase 활성체인 Metformin의 모발 성장에 미치는 영향

Background: AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a pivotal role in the balance of cellular energy metabolism. Recent studies have reported that AMPK has numerous roles in physiological conditions, and dysregulation of AMPK induces pathological processes and diseases. However, the role of AMPK and its activators have not yet been studied in the context of hair growth regulation. Objective: To investigate the effects of metformin on dermal papilla (DP) and outer root sheath (ORS) cells, as well as the role of the AMPK pathway in hair growth. Methods: We evaluated whether metformin, a well-known AMPK activator, had any beneficial effects on hair growth. In addition, to evaluate the molecular and cellular mechanisms that were involved, protein levels of AMPK and β-catenin were analyzed. Results: Metformin increased the cellular proliferation of human DP and ORS cells. Ki-67 expression was also significantly increased after metformin treatment in the ex vivo hair follicle organ culture. Furthermore, DP and ORS cells treated with metformin had a significant increase in AMPK phosphorylation, which in turn suppressed β-catenin degradation and enhanced its nuclear accumulation. Conclusion: We demonstrated that metformin promoted hair growth via the AMPK/β-catenin signaling pathway in vitro with DP and ORS cells. The hair-promoting effects of AMPK activators may potentially be used for the treatment of alopecia, and further investigation will be needed in the future. (Korean J Dermatol 2019;57(4):175∼ 181)
