대사증후군 백서모델에서 음경해면체의 발기능 및 조직학적 변화

Purpose: We evaluated the changes of the erectile function and histology of the corpus cavernosum in a rat model of metabolic syndrome. Materials and Methods: We used male spontaneous hypertensive rats (SHRs) as an experimental group (n=6) and Wistar-Kyoto rats as a control group (n=6). The SHRs were fed with a high fat diet, but the Wistar-Kyoto rats were fed with a normal fat diet for 12 weeks. All the groups were then checked for body weight and various biochemiclal parameters. To investigate penile erection, the intracavernosal pressure (ICP), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and cGMP level of the corpus cavernosum were recorded for all the groups. Serial sections of the penis were used to perform Masson's trichrome staining and immunohistochemistry for determining the TGF-β1 expression. Results: We confirmed that metabolic syndrome was induced in the experimental group by the significant difference of the various biochemical parameters. This wasn’t clear.)As a result of erectile function, the ICP/MAP ratios were checked as 51.0±7.5% and 31.0±5.5%, respectively, for the control and experimental groups. So the ICP/MAP ratio of the latter was markedly decreased compared with the former and the cGMP level of the corpus cavernosum was the same for both groups. On Masson's trichrome staining, the number of smooth muscle cell was decreased and the collagen fibers with an irregular, distorted arrangement were increased in the experimental group. The immunoreactivity for TGF-β1 tended to increase in the experimental group. These histological findings revealed that fibrosis of the corpus cavernosum occurred in the experimental group. Conclusions: Our results demonstrate that metabolic syndrome is harmful to erectile function and it leads to histological changes of the corpus cavernosum according to a rat model of metabolic syndrome

(주)SFC는 2006년에 국내 최초, 세계에서 네 번째로 태양광 모듈용 백시트를 개발하였다. 이는 우리나라가 차세대 대체에너지 시장에 큰 걸음을 디딘 사건으로 기억되고 있다. 특히 이런 획기적인 일이 대기업이 아닌 중소기업에서 이루어져 적잖게 놀라움을 주었다. 1988년 설립한 (주)SFC는 라미네이팅 필름생산에 기반을 둔 특수필름 전문생산업체이다. (SFC는 Special Film corporation의 약자이다.) 초창기 영세한 중소기업에서 현재 태양광특수필름을 생산하는 튼실한 중견기업을 거듭난데에는 특수필름을 생산하며 쌓아온 기술력과 노하우가 있었기에 가능했겠지만 무엇보다도 회사 구성원들의 열정이 큰 몫을 했다고 볼 수 있다. 또한 이런 눈부신 성장 뒤에는 항상 눈에 띄지 않는 그 무엇인가가 있게 마련인데, 이곳 임직원들은 그것이 바로 가족같은 분위기에서 나오는 '실천하는 안전'이라고 말한다. 가족같은 분위기로 안전을 실천하며 눈부신 발전을 하고 있는 (주)SFC를 찾아가 봤다.

The Relationship between Clinical Symptoms and Urine Culture in Adult Patients with Acute Epididymitis

Purpose: We evaluated adult patients with acute epididymitis to identify the frequency of actual sexual contacts and the causative organism, and compared clinical examinations, degrees of manifested symptoms, and radiological test results. Materials and Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 65 patients older than 18 years presenting with acute epididymitis who had been treated between 2002 and 2011. Scrotal ultrasonography, urinalysis, and urine culture were performed to diagnose the acute epididymitis. Patients were divided into negative (n=45) and positive (n=20) urine culture groups. Then the latter groups were subdivided into a sexually transmitted organism (STO) culture group (n=13) and a non-STO (n=7) culture group. Data on any history of sexual contact, scrotal pain and tenderness, symptoms of urethritis (discharge, dysuria, urethral burning, or irritation), and lower urinary tract symptoms (dysuria, frequency, and urgency of urination) were obtained from all of the subjects. Results: Patients in the positive urine culture group were significantly younger than those in the other group (p=0.224) and were more likely to have a history of sexual contact at least two weeks prior to onset of epididymitis (p=0.012). They had also a significantly enlarged epididymal head and significantly more severe complaints of pain or tenderness than those of latter group (p=0.348, p=0.288). However, the difference in these measures between the STO and non-STO group was not significant, except in the case of age (p=0.044). Conclusions: Patients of the positive urine culture group with acute epididymitis were significantly younger and more sexually active than the others. They also had severe pain or tenderness and an enlarged epididymal head. There was a close association between clinical symptoms, a positive urine culture, and ultrasonographic findings.

신경회로망을 이용한 쿼드로터의 자세 제어에 관한 연구

최근 무인항공기(UAV : Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)에 대한 연구가 다양한 각도로 진행되어 군사용 비행체에 관한 연구에서 부터 민간용 비행체 및 일반 취미 활동용 비행체에 이르기까지 다양하게 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 무인 소형 비행체에 대한 연구는 수직이착륙(VTOL : Vertical Take-Off and Landing)과 용이한 방향전환 및 정지비행(hovering)에 대하여 연구되고 있으며, 이러한 연구부분에 적합한 무인 소형 비행체가 쿼드로터(quardrotor)형 무인비행체를 중심으로 연구되고 있다. 이러한 무인 비행체에 대한 연구는 공기역학적 힘에 의해 부양되므로 복잡한 동역학 분석과정을 필요로 하고 있으며, 이러한 역학적 분석 및 실험적 모델을 바탕으로 제어기를 설계하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 PID 제어기를 바탕으로 기본적인 자세제어를 구현한 후, 제어기 설계에 고려하지 못한 비선형적인 요소를 신경회로망(neural networks)의 강화학습(reinforcement learning) 알고리즘을 이용하여 일반적인 제어기 설계에 고려하지 못한 비선형적인 요소를 보완하여 보다 안정적인 쿼드로터의 자세제어 방안을 제시하고자 한다. Recently, the studies of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) has been studied a variety from military aircraft to civilian aircraft and for general hobby activity aircraft. In particular, for small unmanned aircraft research for the ease of turning and hovering and Vertical-Off Take Landing(VTOL), have been studied mainly quadrotor unmanned aircraft is a type suitable for this study of small unmanned aircraft. The studies of these unmanned aircraft is the kinetic analysis requires complex processes, because these support by the aerodynamic forces on the unmanned aircraft study, and the controller design based on these dynamical analysis and experimental model analysis. In this paper, after the implementation of the basic attitude control based on a general PID controller, we propose concept design of the attitude control method on quadrotor attitude control by using the reinforcement learning algorithm of neural networks for non-linear elements not considered in the controller design.
