Comparison of American and Korean Children's Cognitive Styles in Relation to Sex and Urbanization

This study was aimed at assessing the sex differences In cognitive style, Its relation to the IQ and Achievement rests scores, and the differences In the styles between rural and urban Korean and American children. A total of 525 subjects sampled from the fourth to the eighth grade boys and girls In four different areas were administered the GEFT and TCS. All of the four hypotheses were at least partially supported. A progressive Increase in extent of field-independence was evidenced only by the GEFT. The TCS(A) showed irregular age trends. The correlational analyses showed significant relations of field-independence to the other tests scores. The TCS results suggested that the American children were more analytic In their conceptual approaches than the Korean children. As expected, the Korean rural group was most field-dependent of all groups on the GEFT and TCS. However, the American children showed neither significant sex differences, nor group differences between the ural and urban children. The problems and implications of the results and suggestions for future research were discussed.
ISO/TS16949 품질경영시스템 인증에 따른 경영성과에 관한 연구

After enterprise get a certification in acquisition, the core requirements of ISO/TS 16949 standard is pull out the Performance Indicators by process access approach during the settlement and operation of system, and the pulled key performance indicators classified into the customer intention process, support process and management process and analyzed the effect to the management result. This study conducted with following step. Firstly, preceding research, the literature and investigation analysis about process approach method which is the special characteristics of ISO/TS 16949 standard. Secondly, each process of ISO/TS 16949 standard is classified and deduced the key performance indicators followed process access method. Finally, get a enterprise survey data related to improvement of Performance Indicator and analyzed by SPSS statistical software.

This paper proposes a method for real-time control of both capacitors and ULTC in adistribution system to reduce the total power loss and to improve the voltage profile over the course of a day. The multi-stage consists of the off-line stage to determine dispatch schedule based on a load forecast and the on-line stage generates the time and control sequences at each sampling time. It is then determined whether one of the control actions in the control sequence is performed at the present sampling time. The proposed method is presented for a typical radial distribution system with a single ULTC and capacitors.

Morphology and distribution of the minute tubercles projected on the skin surface of larvae with its development were observed in the Korean bitterling, Acheilognathus somjinensis. The minute tubercles appeared to be two distinct morphologies, hemispheric or scaly and vestigial structures. Just after hatching, the epidermis of the larvae consists of a thin single cell layer having smaller basophilic flat or round-flattened basal cells. As the larvae grow, the epidermis contains more small flat cells and large epidermal cells which are round and hemispheric, or scaleshaped, called minute tubercles. They are distributed over the anterior part and most part of yolk sac, posterior region of yolk sac and the body region. Vestigial epidermal cells, another minute tubercle, occur only in the caudal fin-fold region, which they are shrunken and flattened, causing the cell boundary to be unclear. They increase in number and height from just to 5 days after hatching, but they become reduced as the larvae develop gradually. The required time for those disappearance was different each by regional body: at day 20 after hatching in the anteriormost part of yolk sac, and day 11 after hatching in the posterior part of yolk sac and the body, and day 21 after hatching in two regions such most part of the yolk sac and the caudal finfold regions. In order to satisfy more stringent emission regulations, it is required to control the fuel supply system with higher accuracy for LPG vehicles. Vaporizer, which is one of the important core parts in gaseous LPG injection system, functions not only to evaporate an LPG fuel and its pressure. thus in this work, pressure drop across the vaporizer in a gaseous LPG vehicle was measured and analyzed. Pressure drop occurs through orifices of pressure regulator and flow meter. As expected, pressure drop depends on flow rate, which increases when the more fuel is needed to be injected. Although Pressure sensor helps engine computer calculate the accurate amount of injected fuel depending on fuel pressure, it may be necessary to understand the pressure drop as a function of flow rate and coolant temperature. In this work, an experimental study of flow rate and pressure drop across the vaporizer was carried out.

도시철도 실측 부하에 기반한 첨두부하 절감용 ESS 용량 산정

This paper proposes the method for determination of the capacities of ESS (Energy Storage System) and PCS (Power Conditioning System) for the peak load shaving based on the load data in the substation of urban railway. In addition, this paper analyze the actual measurement of loads in the substation of urban railway. The load of a weekday in the substation of urban railway is high around rush hours in the morning and evening, which is different from that of a normal substation. The required capacities of ESS and PCS become larger as the amount of peak load shaving is higher, and are affected from the patterns of daily load in the substation.
