        Author was studied on the color of gingiva of 844 Korean, 185 Korean-white and 119 Korean-Negro hybrid children between the ages of 7 and 12 years. Lastly the comparison was carried out between these Korean hybrids and the Korean, the European. 1. The color of gingiva was mostly on the pink for Korean, - White hybrid and darkish pink for Negro-hybrid. 2. The color of gingiva of Negro-hybrid was intermediate between Korean and Negro. 3. None of the statistically difference about the color of gingiva has been found between both sexes.

        <P>&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the characteristic in Gangwon-Yeongdong regional literature. Regional literature tries to show modernity and regional characteristics. Fair value assessment of the regional literature can help rectify the unfair cultural structure and is a way to develop Korean literature itself. This paper focus on the characteristics in regional literature, paying special attention to poetic works which are considered as post-colonial literature. There are two facets in regional literature; One is alienation from mainstream literature, the other is possibility of minority literature. This thesis tries to apply the modernity in broad sense to its literary works based on the efforts to examine regional characteristics.</P><P>&nbsp;&nbsp;The literary world which emphasizes the universal lyricism is occupying a conspicuous position in Korean regional literature such as the trend of reflecting the regional traits. Efforts are needed to be made to revitalize regional literature through various means. For this, efforts as well as a scholarly critical-minded approach to the regional writers are essential. Moreover, locality, or ecological․coal mine․maritime literature in Gangwon-Yeongdong regional literature, can be the strategic objective to which the literature should pay attention in modern times. The problem of regional literature and portraying such regional life is one of the alternative, strategic categories that help overcome today’ Korean literary landscape.</P>

        수사구조 분석을 통한 교육담론 고찰 - 「국민교육헌장」과 「우리의 교육지표」를 중심으로 -

        The purpose of this paper is to compare the text structure of 「The Charter of National Education」 and 「Our Education Orientation」, which are representative discourses produced under the Park Chung Hee regime. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the former takes the head-located form and the latter takes the tail-located form in the method of composing the text according to the position of the subject. it confirms that these structural features are visually evident through the rhetorical structure theory. Secondly, through the analysis of the rhetorical relations, the subject matter relations were central to 「The Charter of National Education」 and the presentational relations were central to 「Our Education Orientation」. Through this, the former played a role as expository text and the latter as argumentative text. Finally, it reconstructs the practical argument of 「Our Education Orientation」 and compares the values ​​that the two texts are oriented toward. As a result, it confirms the aspect of the discourse struggle through appropriation of ‘democracy’ through argument structure. 본 논문은 박정희 정권 하에서 생산된 대표적인 교육담론이자 이데올로기의 상징적 텍스트인 「국민교육헌장」과 「우리의 교육지표」를 비교하여 논하였다. 전자는 당대의 지배적 이데올로기를, 후자는 그에 대한 대항담론을 상징하는 텍스트이다. 방법론으로는 주로 수사구조이론을 사용해 양자의 핵심 논지를 분석하였다. 먼저, 주제문의 위치에 따른 글의 구성 방식을 수사구조 분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과 전자는 두괄식 구조를, 후자는 미괄식 구조를 취하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 구조적 특징이 수사구조도를 통해 시각적으로 분명하게 드러남을 확인하였다. 다음으로, 수사 관계의 분석을 시도하였다. 그에 따르면 「국민교육헌장」은 주요 내용 관계 중심이었고, 「우리의 교육지표」는 제시적 관계가 중요한 기능을 담당하고 있었다. 이를 통해 전자는 설명적 텍스트이고, 후자는 논증적 텍스트라고 규정하였다. 마지막으로 논증적 텍스트인 「우리의 교육지표」의 실천 논증을 재구성함으로써 두 텍스트가 지향하는 가치를 비교하였다. 결과적으로 지배담론과 저항담론이 각각 ‘민주주의’ 개념의 전유를 통해 담론 투쟁을 전개하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 담론 투쟁의 양상이 텍스트의 구조 속에서도 확인되고 있는 형국인 것이다.

        김수영 시와 여행

        김수영은 여행을 비롯하여 자유로운 이동이 지극히 제한된 시대를 살았다. 그가 행한 이동에 대한 성찰은 존재론적 본성에 관한 감각을 포함할 뿐만 아니라 모더니티의 근본 기제인 속도에 집중되고 있었다. 인간의 문화 중에서 이동을 전제하는 대표적 양식이 여행일 것이다. 김수영은 멀리 여행하고 싶은 정열을 간직하였지만 실제 삶에 있어서는 많은 여행을 다니지는 못했다. 현실적이고 구체적인 형태를 벗어나 존재와 문학의 이동을 사유한 김수영이었기에 여행은 시학적, 철학적 범주로 확장된다. 김수영의 시적 모빌리티는 이동의 본성과 모순, 나아가 중층적 가능성의 차원을 감각적으로 체현하는 기제일 수 있다. 김수영에게 여행은 삶의 태도였고 문학적 길이었으며, 이행의 미학을 향해 시세계 전체를 관류하는 화소였다. 그렇듯 김수영은 여행을 포기하지 않으며 문학을 통해 일생을 바친 여정을 스스로 개척했다. 그 속에서 문학의 자유와 진정한 현대성을 선취하게 된다. 한때 동경했던 파리 여행은 예술의 모더니티를 갈구하는 목적지였으나 끝내 이르지는 못한 물리적 장소로 남았다. 하지만 이 역시 스스로의 사유를 통해 지양 단계에 이르는데, 십여 년에 이르는 외서를 통한 여행의 결과로서 파리는 최종 목적지가 아니었음을 확인한다. 고갱의 타히티섬과 같은 이상의 장소는 진정한 자유와 정직한 삶 자체였던 것이다. 김수영에게 있어서 외국 잡지는 현실 너머를 바라볼 수 있는 동경의 대상이었다. 산문 「나에게도 취미가 있다면」을 통해 김수영의 여행에 대한 동경, 그 대체물로서의 외서의 위상을 엿볼 수 있었다. 번역은 그의 문학적 여정이 다다를 최후의 종착지이기도 했다. 「시골 선물」, 「여수」, 「미농인찰지」 등은 구체적 여행을 소재로 한 작품들이다. 이들 작품에는 중층의 길을 개방하는 여행이 형상화되고 있다. 여수는 문학적 생성을 환기하는 김수영식 여행의 정동이었다. 여수의 정서는 자연으로의 소요와 결합되면서 생활과 힘의 역학을 파생하게 된다. 김수영 시의 여행은 이행으로서의 실천으로 변주된다. 사일구혁명을 전후하여 「말복」, 「하…… 그림자가 없다」, 「이놈이 무엇이지?」 등 일련의 작품들을 통해 김수영은 스스로의 여행관이 지양되는 계기를 구성한다. 그의 마지막 여행인 부산행에서는 온몸으로 동시에 밀고 나가는, 자유의 이행을 문학의 정수로 간주하는 여행관이 정립된다. 김수영에게 있어서 ‘모험의 발견’은 곧 여행의 진정한 의미이자 문학의 본령과 다르지 않았다. Limited movement means a stop in speed. It is the same as the absence of mobility, in which the judgment of excess or lack is fundamentally impossible. But being cannot stop moving. Mobility is the nature of all beings, not just humans. Kim Soo-young also lived in an era in which free movement including travel was extremely limited, so his reflection on movement included a sense of ontological nature as well as focusing on speed, the fundamental mechanism of modernity. Travel is probably the most representative form of human culture that presupposes movement. He lived with a repressed passion to travel far. As Kim Soo-young considered the movement of existence and literature beyond realistic and concrete forms, travel expands into poetic and philosophical categories. Kim Soo-young’s poetic journey can be a mechanism for sensibly embodying the nature and contradiction of movement, as well as the dimension of multi-layered possibilities. Free travel in Korean society in the 1950s and 1960s would have been a luxury for most people. Kim Soo-young also did not have much time to travel freely during her lifetime. Therefore, for Kim Soo-young, travel was an attitude of life, a literary way, and a pixel that permeated the entire poetic world toward the aesthetics of transition. Kim Soo-young did not give up on travel. He pioneered the journey he devoted his life to through literature. In it, literary freedom and true modernity are preempted. The trip to Paris was a destination in search of modernity in art, but it remained as a physical place that could not be reached. However, this also reaches a stage of avoidance through his own thoughts, and as a result of traveling through foreign books for more than a decade, it is confirmed that Paris was not the final destination. For Kim Soo-young, foreign magazines were objects of admiration that allowed them to look beyond reality. Through his prose, we can get a glimpse of the longing for travel and the status of foreign books as a substitute for it. Translation was also the final destination of his literary journey. There are also works with specific travel themes. In these works, a journey that opens the way for the middle class is embodied. Nostalgia was the affect of Kim Soo-young’s travels that evoked literary creation. The emotion of nostalgia is combined with the disturbance in nature to derive the dynamics of life and power. Kim Soo-young’s travels are transformed into practices as transitions. Through a series of works published before and after 4·19, Kim Soo-Young constitutes an opportunity to abolish his own view of travel. In his last trip to Busan, his view of travel is established, which regards the transition of freedom as the essence of literature. For Kim Soo-young, ‘discovery of adventure’ was the true meaning of travel and the essence of literature.

        「구운몽」의 판타지적 욕망

        Fantastic Desire of Guwunmong This paper studies Kim manjung's and Choi Inhun's 「Guwunmong」 from the perspective of fantastic imagination. These novels are fantasy literatures reflective of social ideology and the ways they deal with desire vary depending on when they were written. While parody may not be so apparent in these novels if we see it only as a literary concept, they have one thing in common: repetition of fantastic narrative through dream motif. They have had significant ripple effects in literary history. It is important to remember that these texts served as opportunities to criticize suppressed reality of the time on one hand, and fill an ideological gap on the other hand. This very duality may be characteristic of fantasy literature. In its ending, Kim manjung's 「Gueunmong」 punishes evil and encourages good. It is understandable, considering he was an important figure in terms of power at the time. But the narrative of desire forms a complex structure of meaning comprising ideological fallacy, people's language, and feminine identity. The subject's desire in Choi Inhun's 「Guwunmong」 has to remain in symbolic order. Nevertheless, reality of unsatisfying nature is reproduced within fantasy, and the process reveals imperfect nature of the subject. The repetitive desire of the imperfect subject is the pattern of dream that gives a form to the conditions of being. This is also the context in which Kim manjung's 「Gueunmong」 is parodied. Furthermore, attention should be paid to extra-textual conditions of the novel, i.e. the context in which the meaning of the text goes beyond the dichotomy of the classic and the modern to become that of the present. It may be said that their desire, which has had influence on the present literary field as well, carries a meaning in the literary history which goes beyond the linguistic sense of the texts.

        김수영 시의 양가성

        The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the ambivalence in Kim, Su-young' poems. Kim faced poetically his modern surroundings. Therefore, he can be referred to as problematic objects who shared converging and diverging points in looking into and understanding the problems of the modernity reflected in poetry. This thesis tries to apply the modernity in broad sense to his poetic works based on the efforts to examine modernity in various lights. Colonialism involves not only the direct territorial occupation of another country and the ruthless exloitation of its resources, but also the systemic imposition of the colonizer's culture. Hybridity is an inevitable consequence of colonialization. If postcolonialism can be defined as an effort to overcome the continuing influence of colonialism, hybridity is an important element the postcolonial project should handle. Ambivalence is also a characteristic of the postcolonial situation in which the former colonies work within the continuing influence of the former colonial power and at the same time contest it. Kim's poems tries to show how the colonized and resistance can undermine the colonial hierarchy based on the colonial power by using mimicry. Kim's view of poetry is characterized by mimetic attitude. The mimetic pose is a kind of appropriation. the strategy of appropriation can be called the spirit of postcolonial theory, and Kim's poems are the typical showcase of it. The good examples are poetic attributes as the spirit of the undetermined. In fact, Kim's works have taken this route in terms of spirit, action, and communication. The undetermined formality deriving from Kim's westernism is sometimes accompanied by the lack of aesthetic realms. Nonetheless, his spirit and works prove our colonial surroundings and the typical pattem of living in unreasonal modern times by performing effects.

He can be referred to as problematic objects who shared converging and diverging points in looking into and understanding the problems of the modernity reflected in poetry. This paper tries to apply the locality in broad sense to his poetic works based on the efforts to resist diaspora in various lights. Sim’s view of poetry is characterized by regional attitude. The meaning of region can be called the spirit of nationalism, and Sim’s poems are the typical showcase of it. The good examples are poetic attributes as the spirit of the undetermined native place. And his sense of hometown based on the emigration is a symbol of diaspora. The simple formality deriving from Sim’s nationalism is sometimes accompanied by the lack of aesthetic realms. Nonetheless, his spirit and works prove our colonial surroundings and the typical pattern of living in unreasonable modern times by performing effects.
